Cosmic Places

One of my favorite places to visit for up-to-date info on the things
they won't tell you in the mainstream media is at the
Leading Edge Research Group Home
Page.
The Global Consciousness Project
is a forward thinking experiment using sophisticated electronic technology to
measure the subtle vibrations of global harmonic attunement of human
consciousness.
At the
Mayan Calendar Home Page you can look up your birthday and find
the corresponding glyph and tone to see what your Mayan birthdate is.
Whitley Strieber has written books on the subject of aliens, ufo's and
abduction experiences. His website is called
The Communion Homepage.
Speaking of ufo's, there's a wealth of information at the
Malta UFO Research home page.
Robert Monroe founded an institute for the study of out-of-body
experiences. Here you can learn to induce an out-of-body experience,
aided by a process known as "hemi-sync" that acoustically synchronizes
the brainwaves from both sides of the brain to bring on the beta and
delta rhythms of deep sleep. Check out the
Monroe Institute
online.
Wow! Kryon, as channeled by Lee
Carroll, has some really uplifting, life-changing information for you
at this site. This is one of the few channelers that were invited for
sessions at the United Nations.
If you're looking for a list of links on all this cosmic debris, try
looking at a place simply called
New Age
Information.
Also a good source for links on the cosmic perspective is the
Spiritweb.
Even more links at Gaia
Mind to check out.
An online magazine devoted to the study of consciousness and such
matters is Nexus.
And another online mag reporting on the weird and anomalous is the
Fortean
Times.
And while we're at it, here's
Green Egg
magazine.
This is a web page devoted to the study of the
Tarot.
This webpage is a great jumping off place for info on the
Rainbow Family.
And while you're at it, check out
Pieman's homepage. He's
got a great list of links on lots of alternative subjects.
This link has the most exhaustive information base on the
Kennedy assassination I've ever
seen.
Do you know anything about the
"Philadelphia Experiment"?
I'm not even going to tell you what
this one is about but it's got a long list of strange things.
This place is about parallel worlds and the people who travel to them.
Parallel earth-like planets and other hyper-dimensional Utopian worlds.
Are you ready to really travel? Check out
Incunabula.
Music Connections
The Harmony Music List is one of the most
exhaustive lists of bands on the net.
For anyone interested in making music with electronics, the
MIDIWEB is an excellent jumping
off point.
Or even the MIDI
Home Page is worth a look.

best wav. file editors around called "Cool Edit". You can download a
working version.

Vintage Guitars
at this site.
One of my favorite singer/songwriters has always been
Joni Mitchell
and this is a good site to see a lot of good info and pictures on
her.
Some other long time favorites of mine are
Crosby, Stills, and Nash. You
can check out their current schedule, among other things about them,
at this site.
Here's a place called the
Virtual Music Spotlight.
If you'd like to find out some info for songwriters, check out
Jeff Mallett's
Songwriter Page.
Getsigned.com is a free
service for unsigned musicians looking for contacts within the
recording industry.
Intentional Communities

Living in a community of like-minded people can be a great experience,
as well as an affordable alternative to living alone. Here's a
comprehensive list of intentional communities around the world at
(what else?) The
Intentional Communities Web Site
A community in Italy called
Damanhur is an
awesome place where artistry and communal living is taken to new
heights. Be sure to check out their underground temple.
A community in California called
The Heartwood Institute has programs to learn about the healing
arts and other things. Some of my friends have spent time there in the
past.
In Louisa County, VA, near Charlottesville, is the
Twin Oaks Community. They have
70 to 90 people living there at one time and have an income sharing
program. I have been there to attend the annual Communities Conference
and the extent of their building process was quite impressive.
If you're looking for information about land trusts, the
Land Trust Alliance is
definitely worth looking into.
Alternative Building Methods

If you want to know about building with straw bales, you can go to this
page of Straw Bale
Internet Links.
I'm quite interested in straw bale building myself so I have a few
links bookmarked, including this one called
The Last Straw.
This is another webpage of straw bale building links. This one is
quite extensive and could keep you busy for weeks to come. Welcome to
Surfin' Strawbale!
Strawbale Internet Links.
And if you just can't get enough, there's still more, including this
site,
Alternative Homebuilding. Here you can find info on straw bale,
cob, cordwood, and rammed earth construction.
And here's a site devoted to the building of
Earthships , homes built into
the ground with walls made of old discarded tires and empty soda cans.
If that got your interest, try this
other Earthship site.
How about just
Strawbale House Weblinks? Here's some more from Lighthook.
You'll find plenty of
Sustainable Building Sources here. Thatch roofing, timber framing,
cob, solar, ecological architecture, and more.
Friends' Home Pages

Amara Rose lives in among
the redwoods in California and coaches people on how to "live their
highest intention" through focusing on spirituality, wellness, and
life purpose. Her website is brimming with inspiration and positive
focus. A good place to quench your spiritual thirst.
Starroot
has a cool page with lots of her paintings, audio clips of her
cosmic music, and even some movie clips of our performances. She is a
Mayan daykeeper and does the best version of "Itsy-Bitsy Teenie-Weenie
Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini" sung in German with an accompanying shamanic
drumbeat I've ever heard.
Alex Funk has his own design
company and is quite a computer wizard and may be able to help you out
with any number of computer related services. He is also the local
webmaster for the Floyd Community Calendar (see below).
Sue Dimock
hosts a site for her organization simply known as MBCBS (which I've
been told stands for "My Brain Can't Be Saved"). This is truly an
exercise in free speech on the net and opinions here can be quite
strong.
David Peel is a musician from the
Big Apple who also enjoys exercising his freedom of speech. In the 60's he had a band called
"David Peel and the Lower East Side" and he has numerous recordings and photos with both
John Lennon and Yoko Ono. All of these are available at his fine website. Check it out!
Alan, my
friend from high school, and his wife, Bonnie have a homepage with a lot of Bonnie's
artwork.
John Kruth has
a web page where you can listen to and order his music online. John plays a plethora
of instruments including mandolin, guitar, harmonica, mandocaster, banjo, flute,
dulcimer, penny whistle, autoharp, and more.
A lot of my friends who are artists and crafters are listed with
Artisans of Floyd County, VA, USA
You can also find out what's happening in and around Floyd on the
Community Calendar
Brad Miller has a
page on his "Talk-It" drum, which is a cross between an African talking drum and
a drumkit's tomtom.
Doug Coulter has a music
hardware/software package for recording directly onto the computer with 8
simultaneous tracks (or more) called "Musicad". You can check out some details
on his incredible and affordable system on his homepage.
Kalama has a site devoted to her Mana
Cards; a divinatory deck based upon the Kahuna mystic tradition of Hawaii. They are
currently in production and are available on her website. Say Hi for me.
Michael and Julie Brofman have a business in Long Branch, NJ called the
Best of Nature which sells
massage tables, oils, aromatherapy products and a lot of other related products
and wholesales through their extensive catalog.

wonderful place to find all kinds of gifts like gems, jewelry, beads, candles,
local crafts, and lots of things too numerous to mention.
