The Colour Green

I think that I have never seen
A colour more lovely than that of green

This colour should be seen on land everywhere
Except in Antarctica - it's too cold there

When the children go to the park to play
Being amongst the greenery highlights their day

Green is the colour of a healthy earth
It encourages the animals to mate and give birth

The earth should remain the home of the human race
There is no greenery in outer space

The plants on the ground, the leaves on a tree
I can't imagine how life without green would be

I wish the forests would last and last
But progress is making them disappear fast.
