Hi, I'm Erika of the Celadon City Gym. It's nice to meet you. As leader of the gym, I have chosen lovely Grass-types to train and battle with. Aside from facing all challengers in a Pokemon battle, I also own a perfume shop where you can find some of my specially formulated perfume, made from the nectar of my dear sweet Gloom. I have had this Gloom ever since it saved me as a little girl. If you're ever in Celadon City, be sure to stop by and sample some of our perfumes. Oh, you know Ash Ketchum? Yes, I remember him. He's that silly little boy who said perfumes stink, but he is also a great Pokemon trainer. When that horrible Team Rocket set off an explosion in my gym, Ash saved my precious Gloom. If you ever see him, thank him for me again.

Welcome to Celadon City, I'm Officer Jenny, the head of the local police force. I remember the boy Erika mentioned, Ash Ketchum. From what my sisters and cousins have reported, it seems to me that trouble seems to follow that kid everywhere. Double trouble, that is--as in Team Rocket. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though. Those two trouble makers and their talking Meowth can't seem to accomplish much, anyway. But, if you see them anywhere, be sure to report them to the local police force.

Well, hello there. I hope you are enjoying your stay in Celadon City. I heard you have been asking about the trainer Ash Ketchum. I remember him, as well. As I remember it, he made the mistake of insulting perfume, and wasn't allowed to enter the gym because of that. But somehow he got into the gym (about the same time I saw that cute, blonde little girl and her suspicious-looking parents go in). Anyway, I heard he saved Erika's Gloom from a fire caused by Team Rocket. He must be a really brave young man. If you see him, let him know he is more than welcome in Celadon City.

Battle against Erika: The grass Pokémon you must face here often use status attacks such as poison and paralyze. Fire Pokémon are the most effective choice.
