Japanese VA: Nishimura Chinami
The police officer of every town, Junsa and Joi are spoofs of RPG characters. Notice how every town in Final Fantasy IV has that "Namingway" guy? Or that the Blacksmith in Seiken Densetsu II is EVERYWHERE? Or that in any given castle in any Final Fantasy game, there are about 20 guards that look exactly alike? That's what Junsa parodies. She always tries to help by giving useful information. She's not annoying, and not interesting, she's just there. Nurse Joy/Nurse Joi Japanese VA: Shiraishi Ayako (Linda Yamamoto in Gunbuster)
Joi is the nurse at every pokemon center who takes care of Satoshi's pokemon. Again, she's a parody of early RPG's inablitiy to make every character look different due to memory limitations. Takeshi has a crush on Joi (not any particular one, but all of them) and is the only one who can tell them apart. Bill/Sonezaki Masaki Masaki is a pokemon expert on the same league as Dr. Ookido. He basically invented the Pokemon Zukan. In the one episode that he appears in, he searches for a giant pokemon that looks like a Loch Ness Monster (MissingNo.?). However, the Rocket Dan scare it away, so no one ever knows what kind of pokemon it is. Masaki is the one who informs Satoshi that there are over 150 pokemon in the world (how could Satoshi NOT know this?). In the show, he gets trapped in a Kabuto costume, but in the game, he gets his cells combined with that of a Koratta. Deleila Ketchium/Hanako Japanese VA: Toyoshima Masami
Hanako is Satoshi's loving mother. She is very proud of her son and takes interest in her son's goal. She often accompanies Satoshi on some of his adventures, such as Kasumi's swimming suit contest (ep. 18), the premier of the Koduck/Pukurin movie, and watches her son when the Pokemon League is televised. |

Pocket Monsters was not created by me. It was created by Satoshi Tajiri and the crew at TV-Tokyo. Pokemon is (c) Game Freak, Nintendo, 4Kids Productions, Hasbro, Bandai, and a ton of other companies. When you have a popular anime like Pokemon, lots of people own it so it's impossible to list every company who owns a piece of Pokemon. No infringement of copyrights is meant by the creation of the web site. All images were gotten from official websites (Nintendo, TV-Tokyo, etc.) unless otherwise noted (I don't steal images from other sites!). |
