Pokemon is an international phenomenon! You must know that Pokemon is available all over the world. Here you can find out about Pokemon in other countries. What's the French name for Satoshi? What do they call the Rocket-Dan in Mexico? Look here.

Overall, in researching for this page, I found something disturbing: a lot of countries dub the English-dubbed version, in some countries right down to the opening theme. So in most countries, the pokemon, humans, everything have the same names as they do in the NA dub. -_- When researching the the Spanish (Spain) and Swedish version, I found no differences between the US version except for the show being redubbed in Spanish or Swedish.
