    Lyric Archive

Do you want to impress people at anime conventions by singing Japanese Pokemon songs on karaoke night?  Then you'll need lyrics.

The lyrics are written in romanji, meaning within the 26-letter Roman alphabet.  Foreign words (like English words) are capitalized and a little explanation of what the word really is is given below the lyrics (i.e.  DORAMA=Drama).  I can make no guarantee that the words are spaced out accordingly.  Japanese people do not put spaces between their words to seperate them, so it is done mentally.  However, if you aren't fluent in the language (like me) then it is difficult to correctly seperate the words when romanizing lyrics.  I've done my best with a) my existing knowledge of Japanese vocabulary and b) the way the words are said in the song, but I'm sure I've made some mistakes.

Check out my CD Guide so you'll know which CD to buy to hear these great songs!

A little  symbol beside a song means that it's the TV edit of that particular song.  Otherwise, assume it's the full CD version.

    Song titles with  have translations.

Opening Themes (OP)-The Japanese OP's are MUCH better than the American ones.  Right now there are three TV openings.  It seems that not only did Matsumoto Rika sing the TV OP's, she also wrote them too!

Aratanaru Chikai (Acoustic Version) (A New Journey--Acoustic Version)--This is the opening theme to TV Special #5, the Raikou one.
Mezase Pokemon MASUTAA--The first OP sung by Satoshi!
Mezase Pokemon MASUTAA '98--The remix of the first OP sung at the opening of the first movie!
Natsuyasumi FUAN KURABU (Summer Vacation Fan Club)--the OP of "Pikachu Natsuyasumi"
OK!--The OP to the Jouto League series.
Ready Go!--The fifth TV series OP.
Rivals--The second OP, also sung by Satoshi again.
Rivals--An island-like remix of the second OP for the opening of the second movie.

Ending Themes (ED)--Though there are only three opening themes, there are a gajillion ending themes to Pokemon, sung by the likes of Ookido and Nyasu.  Some of the most diverse songs in the series!

Hyaku Gojuu Ichi (151)--the very first ED!  It's sung by Dr. Ookido and his students!
Kaze to Isshyo ni (Together in the Wind)--the "Myuutsu no Gyakuushu" ED!
Maemuki ROKETTO-Dan (Look Ahead Rocket-Dan)--Ending Theme #11, featuring zany fast-paced lyrics, some very funny dancing, and Sonansu!  What more do you need?
Nyaasu no PAATI (Nyasu's Party)--the first ending theme to the Jouto League episodes.
Nyaasu no Uta (Nyasu's Song)--ED #2!  Also heard in Episodes 35 and 70!
Nyaasu no Uta 2000 (Nyasu's Song 2000)--a new version of an ending theme.
Pika Pika-massai-chu--the ED of "Pikachu Natsuyasumi"
Pokemon Harahara RIREE (Pokemon Worriesome Relay)--the third ED for the Jouto League
    Pokettaari Monsutaari--ED #12
Poketto ni FANTAJII (Pocket Fantasy)--the ED to the Christmas Special
Rapurasu ni No'otte--the ED of the Orange League episodes.
Takeshi no PARADAISU (Takeshi's Paradise)--finally, Takeshi gets to sing!
Toi et Moi-(You and Me)-the ED for the second movie, "Mabaroshi no Pokemon Lugia Bakutan "
    Type:  Wild
Type:  Wild (English)--the Japanese-made English dub of the ending theme
Pokemon Ondo (Pokemon March)-the cutest song EVER!  Dogasu sings!

Suzukisan Songs--Suzukisan is a group of three people (Imakuni, Kobayashi, and Raymond) who rap songs for Pokemon.  They sing a lot in English (Raymond is American...) and actually rap!

Pokemon Ieru Kana? (Can You Name All the Pokemon?)--the Japanese Pokemon rap!
Pokemon Ieru Kana Baby? (Can You Name All the Pokemon Baby?)--strange doesn't describe this remix of the Pokemon rap.
Pokemon Kakeru ka na? (Can You Draw Pokemon?)
Torikaekko PURIIZU (Let's Trade Please)--can Imakuni? and Kobayashi strike a deal when trading pokemon?

Rocket-Dan Songs--songs sung by Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyasu of the Rocket-Dan! (For more Nyasu songs, check the ED's).

Lucky Lucky--Kojirou's Song!  It has a bunch of Pokemon puns!
Roketto-Dan yo Eien ni (Rocket Gang Forever)--the song the Rocket-Dan sang in the Purin episode!
    To*Itteru Nya--Nyasu talks to pokemon!

Misc. Songs--Songs I didn't know what to do with!

    Aa Marumain (Ah Marumain)
Atarashii Tomodachi (New Friend)--a pretty song
    Gunya Gunya Gasu Gasu
Hai Asa Desu Yo! (Yes it's Morning!)
    Hey! Pikachu
    Kureyon De Pokemon (Pokemon's Crayon)
Oyasumi Boku no Pikachuu (Goodnight My Pikachu)--a sleepy bedtime song
Pokemon MASUTAA e no Michi--(Road to Pokemon Master)
    PUURU (Pool)
Suteki na Collection--a very Arabian-like song that's a commercial for "Pokemon Stadium"
Umi (Surf)--sung to the SURF music!
Utau Pokemon Zukan:  NOOMARU Pokemon part 1 (Sing Pokemon Zukan:  Normal Pokemon Part 1)--describes Lucky, Pippi, Pikushii, Ivui, Purin, Pukurin, Metamon, and Kabigon Zukan-style!

International Songs-songs not in English or Japanese!  These are all sung to the tune of the first American OP.

    Brazilian OP
    French OP #1
    German OP#1
    German OP#2
    German OP#3
    Mexican OP

Pocket Monsters was not created by me.  It was created by Satoshi Tajiri and the crew at TV-Tokyo.  Pokemon is (c) Game Freak, Nintendo, 4Kids Productions, Hasbro, Bandai, and a ton of other companies. When you have a popular anime like Pokemon, lots of people own it so it's impossible to list every company who owns a piece of Pokemon.  No infringement of copyrights is meant by the creation of the web site.  All images were gotten from official websites (Nintendo, TV-Tokyo, etc.) unless otherwise noted (I don't steal images from other sites!).
