    Rocket-Dan Pokemon
    Musashi

    #023 and 024:  Arbo/Arbok

    Japanese VA:  Sakaguchi Kouichi
Getto Da Ze:  Arbo is with the Rocket-Dan in their debut episode (Episode 2, "Showdown!  Pokemon Center")
Evolves:  Episode 31 ("Full of Digda!")

Arbo is Musashi's pokemon.  It's a powerful pokemon, definitely with an advantage over Satoshi's early pokemon (they were mostly bug-types).  We mainly see Arbo use dig, poison sting, and glare attacks.  Arbo evolves into Arbok at the same time Dogasu evolves into Matadogasu.

Arbo is not available in Pokemon Red or Yellow.

    #108:  Beroringa

Getto Da Ze:  Episode 52 ("Fierce Fighting!  Pokemon Girls' Day")
Leaves:  Episode 146 ("Sonansu and the Pokemon Exchange!!")

Beroringa was a wild pokemon who wandered around freely when it came across Musashi-tachi during the Girl's Day Festival.  Hungry, it ate all the presents Musashi had bought for Sakaki (to make up for their failures), and a frustrated Musashi catches it just to get it out of the way.  When Musashi enters the Girls' Day Festival, she remembers her new pokemon and uses it to beat two of Kasumi's pokemon.  Beroringa is eventually beaten, so it does have its limits.  Beroringa is rather powerful, but like Utsbot, it's used only every now and then.

Musashi accidently trades Beroringa away during a Pokemon Exchange Fair in the Jouto Region.  Her Monster Ball gets mixed up with the Monster Ball of another trainer, and by the time she realizes this the festival's over and the boy's long gone.

Beroringa can only be obtained in Red/Blue/Green by trading, but in Yellow you CAN catch one in Myuutsu's cave.

    #090:  Shellder

Getto Da Ze:  Episode 66 ("When Yadon Becomes Yadoran")
Leaves:  Episode 66 ("When Yadon Becomes Yadoran")

While cleaning up on a beach one day, Musashi-tachi watch a message from Sakaki.  Nyasu, jealous at how Persian was being treated in the video (it was lapping milk from a saucer and was basically enjoying a cushy life), begins clawing the sand until he hits a Shellder.  Kojirou immediately goes to work and quickly weakens the pokemon, but Musashi steps in at the last minute and captures it for herself.

Later, Musashi-tachi break into Nishnomori-Kyoushu's (Professor Westwood) laboratory to steal a Yadoran, but all he has is a Yadon.  The trio try to force the Yadon to evolve by having Shellder bite its tail, and they eventually succeed.  Satoshi-tachi quickly send the trio blasting away as Musashi's Shellder remains clamped on Yadoran's tail, where it remains to this day.

    #202:  Sonansu

Getto Da Ze:  Episode 146 ("Sonansu and the Pokemon Exchange!!")

Musashi gets Sonansu by accident.  There was a Pokemon Trading Festival, a festival which focused on people trading pokemon.  This one boy, Teru, had a Sonansu which he wanted to trade with somebody so that he can train another type of pokemon.  The Rocket-Dan appear at the festival, trying to steal all the pokemon being traded.  Kojirou spots the guy who sold him the Koiking (waaaaaay back in Episode 15) and chases him around, and in the confusion, the Monster Ball with Teru's Sonansu and the ball with Musashi's Beroringaa get mixed up.

Sonansu, the "Bide" pokemon, won't attack until it is attacked and can use Reflect to double the damage done to it back to its opponent.  Sonansu is constantly popping up (like Kasumi's Koduck) spouting its cute "SoooooNANsu!"

Pocket Monsters was not created by me.  It was created by Satoshi Tajiri and the crew at TV-Tokyo.  Pokemon is (c) Game Freak, Nintendo, 4Kids Productions, Hasbro, Bandai, and a ton of other companies. When you have a popular anime like Pokemon, lots of people own it so it's impossible to list every company who owns a piece of Pokemon.  No infringement of copyrights is meant by the creation of the web site.  All images were gotten from official websites (Nintendo, TV-Tokyo, etc.) unless otherwise noted (I don't steal images from other sites!).
