They thought the nightmare was over. Nancy stays in the room, and Freddy reappears . However Nancy realizes that he was only a nightmare and nothing more. She took all the power she had given him and Freddy vanished. She walks out the door seeing a great day ahead of her. Her friends and mother were there as if nothing occurred. Nancy gets into Glenn's car, but something went wrong. Nancy and the others were stuck as the car drove away while Marge was pulled into the house by Freddy as the nightmare continues.
1. This movie, made by Wes Craven, was inspired by these events:
- As a young child Wes was looking outside one day and saw a man much like Freddy. He dangled his fingers on a fence as he looked up at Wes saying, "Yes, I'm looking at you."
Wes panicked as the man entered the building. Wes waited by the door as he heared the man go up the stairs. He told his brother who got a baseball bat and was waiting for him, but disappeared. The figure still fightens Wes to this day.
-Wes thought of the nightmare idea by an article in the Los Angeles Times. It talked of mysterious deaths of children dying in their sleep.
-The name idea was brought up by two different things. "Freddy" was thought up by a childhood bully. They got into fights everyday and shared the same paper route. "Krueger" was thought up by his first piece, "Last House on the Left," as he named the varation by the character named Krug off "Last House on the Left".
2. About the movie and behind the scenes.
- This work of Wes Craven was originally supposed to be a nonsequel movie however it did so well that Bob Shaye (Producer of the Nightmare movies) had to do more sequels.
- In the first movie the town of Springwood was in the state of California. However in "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" the State was changed to Ohio.
- Wes and Bob argued in the ending sequence of the first movie. Wes wanted a happy ending as Bob wanted a suspense ending. In the end a suspense ending was won over.
