Green Magick
So what do you mean by green magick?
Green magick unlike black and white is not based on ethics or intent but on the source and basing of the magick the earth and its sprits that work with it. Green magick is a style based entirely around working with nature sprits and the sprit of the earth itself.
Why have I never come across this type of magick before?
Chances are you have green magick comes in many forms and styles from Fay and nature sprit magick (gnomes, undines etc), tree magick, spells to the earth, talking to trees, herbal medicine/magick, sea/sky/woodland/volcanic magick’s.
What is the best way perform a green magick spell?
Apart from herbal medicine and potions it’s best to perform the magick out doors. When looking for a place to cast spells I find that looking for a place with high energy in a woodland area best, although there’s no reason you cant just go around your garden and do it. But it’s better to be somewhere remote so no one will interrupt the ritual.
Once you have found a good place its good to prepare in the normal way for the type of spell you witch to do (i.e. cast a circle, invoke the gods etc). I personally like to leave an offering to the local wildlife; once you come to spots more often you learn more about the animals around and can pick the offering to suit the area i.e. meet for foxes, breed for birds, apples for small mammals etc.
Why perform green magick?
Green magick provides a love of nature and wildlife that’s hard to get anywhere else, even after one spell you feel left with a sense of aw and wonder. For pagans and non-pagans alike this is very spiritually fulfilling to see nature in its full glory and strength. Not to mention I have found with time it can the most powerful magick there is.
