On the way back to the town, we dropped by
Changzhu Monastery, another famous temple.
Chia, Cheeh and I turned the ‘Sutra Wheels’ and
walked around the temple, and I felt that my
head was so heavy and slightly aching. Arriving
at the hotel, I called my friend -Wong, whom I
met 8 years ago as well. I was very happy that I
managed to contact him because we had never
kept in touch since my visit to China in 1992, and
he came to meet me that night after the dinner.

( Desmond Show)
We waited and waited for one of the members - Desmond, and were told that, he was in a salon
in town. Everybody was so surprised, and went to look for him. Unbelievable!, he was enjoying
his hair wash and forgot the dinner. We didn’t wait for him and went for our dinner. Returned
to the hotel, I rushed to the room and took my shower in a hurry and called Wong. He was
already in the hotel lobby, and he looked younger compared to 8 years ago when we met. He took
me to a Karaoke lounge, and we drank 2 bottles of red wine, and talked about our current life.
I was very worried consuming alcohol because the next day we had to reach a mountain with a
height of 4700m above the sea level. He asked me not to worry and ordered a lot of ' Hon Zen
Ten ' drink for me to prevent the ' Mountain Sickness '. We spent few hours there, and he sent
me back to the hotel. On the way, we passed a salon, and I saw Desmond inside, and unexpected,
I saw a very familiar face inside, too. Surprise! Ah Chia ! He smiled and smiled, and told me he
got his hair cut. Unbelievable ! Two guys spent so many hours to have their hair cut. They might
have enjoyed talking to the female hairdressers and forgot the time. Anyway, I introduced Wong
to them, and went back to the hotel. The night was short and rainy, and we said goodbye.

(Mt. Khan Pa La)
It was a tough day from Tsedang to Shigatse, via
Gyantse on the fifth day. It took about 13 hours by
the old road. All the way, we had to pass a lot of
mountains which were 4000m above the sea level
and our bus drove around the mountain using the
horrible loose road. It felt so dangerous, and we
felt just like sitting beside the death border. It was
so dangerous and felt that our lives could just end
without a hint. Mr.Chau, the driver, drove over a
few risky places. He is a skillful and experienced
driver. The scenery on the way was very spectacular. Unfortunately, we missed the chances to
take photos because we didn't stop. Desmond vomitted and spitted out from the bus. He felt very
uncomfortable, and slept quietly until we reached the snowy mountain 4700m above the sea
level called ‘Khan Pa La’.

The air and wind was very cool, and I felt cold this time and quickly wore a rain coat to keep
warm. Currently, the temperature was between in 1C and 4C?. ' Yamdrok Lake is famous and
an important lake surrounded by mountains just behind mountain ' Khan Pa La '. It was a
wonderful scenery and the water was so clear.
