(Mi Lan Café)
Someone knocked at my door when I packed my
lugguage in the room. Lim asked me whether I
wanted to go to Holiday Inn, a former 3-star of
Lahsa hotel and the best hotel in Lhasa as well with
them. We went for the inspection, and somebody
would like to have a drink at a pub or café, and we
found ' Mi Lan Café ' in the town. Looking outside
of the window, it was still raining, but we had a lot
of fun there and enjoyed playing psychological
games until 2a.m.

As Stanley reminded us this morning, the toughest journey we had already experienced, and the
coming journey would be much easier. However, there were still 2 places which were over above
5000m above the sea level, so the tour leader still advised us not to be careless and got the
' Mountains Sickness ' in the last few days. Furthermore, Pa San told us, a part of ' Qingzang
Road’ was under reconstruction, and from Lhasa to north, we had to use a part of the village road
to Naqu. The road was uncomfortable, but we could see a lot of things, such as, green grass
scenery, snowy mountains, sheep, cows, and nomads on the way. We were really lucky having a
very good opportunity to visit a Tibetan nomadic tent and to understand more of their lifestyle.
Eventhough their life was simple, their faces told us
that they were full of happiness.

Another half way to Naqu, we were still travelling
using the village road. In some parts of the road, they
were not proper roads, and our driver had to look out
for direction and drive very carefully. We passed over
never ending nice landscape of snowy mountains,
and a few members really enjoyed taking photos.

Suddenly, our bus was slowing down, and the driver
stopped the bus near a village. The tour leader informed
us that there was something wrong with our bus and it
needed repairing immediately. We took this opportunity
to look around, and a few Tibetan children ran over from
the other side of the field. They were really cute, and they
were not like the children from towns who always asked
money from tourists. They were so curious to look at us,
and they could not speak Chinese, but they were friendly
and willing to take picture with us. Before we left, we
gave some sweets, chocolates, and money to them.

We reached a green meadow, and we had our  ready -
packed lunch on the green land.  The atmosphere was so
nice, and we really enjoyed our lunch picnic although
the meal was simple. Our driver, finally led us to Qing-
zand Road '. It was a more comfortable road leading to
