reached Chengdu at 5:15p.m. and we rushed to visit ' Wu Monastery '.
To make up the blunder, Stanley arranged
our dinner at a traditional herbal Chinese restaurant.
I contacted Xiao upon returning to Chengdu,
and we met that night again. She drove me round
city for me to recall my memory in 1992,
and she sent me back to hotel after few hours night
sightseeing.
The last night at Chengdu, our members
had a small gathering at a restaurant in front of the
Lahsa hotel. We drank and talked there
until midnight. Early in the morning, we were informed
that the gathering time was changed due
to our rescheduled flight. We waited and waited at the
lobby again, and once again our tour leader
had disappeared. The tour guide said that he was at
the airport since last night to arrange
our flight back to Malaysia. The filght was rescheduled a
few times, and Siao Yang, our tour guide
took us to visit ' Du Fu's Thatched Cottage '. Calling to
airport once again, and on the way, we
turned back to the town because the filght was delayed
again. We requested a visit to a book
store to buy books and Siao Yang only gave us 30 minutes.
We shopped in a hurry and rushed back
to the bus.

Reaching the airport, someone said that
we could
checked in, and another tour leader said we had to wait for another flight from Lanzhou. During that time, the situation was so confusing. Since the plane was not ready, we requested for our lunch break instead of just waiting. Finally, the flight was confirmed and the
