Text Box: Buhi celebrated its 2004 town fiesta in simple activities that marked the occasion.   Reeling from the impact of the just concluded local and national elections last May 10, the townspeople managed to take a breather through this year’s fiesta celebration.   Heading the list of its activities was the APO Run II held May 24. This was sponsored by the APO Fraternity and attracted some 40 participants in a route that took them to Iriga City and back to the Buhi poblacion.   In the afternoon of the same date, a boxing competition was also staged by the Buhi Amateur Boxing Association at the Buhi Millennium Center for local boxing aficionados.   A Disco Night was sponsored by the Municipal Planning and Development Office of the local government on the 24th and 25th of May for its numerous guests and visitors. It was held at the Social Terrace and served as the main course of the fiesta proper.   The sixty Niners Klan also held its PAKA (Arm Wrestling) contest in the afternoon of May 25th at the Social Terrace.   On May 26, the laying of the cornerstore was made for the proposed Parish Hall at the patio of the St. Francis of Assisi Church. The guest of honor of the occasion was Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legazpi who was also the main celebrant of the confirmation activities held in the morning of this day.   The Stardust Brotherhood Association also celebrated its 46th Anniversary on May 26 with a fitting occasion at the Buhi Millennium Center.   Drawing to a close the fiesta celebration activities was the KJS 47th year anniversary celebration. It was also held at the Buhi Millennium Center and featured 3 bands as the music providers namely the Lagrimas Band of Nabua, the Sanewing Band of Nueva Vizcaya and the Buhi All Star Band.
