Allana's decision to leave the competition meant both Chloe and Zoe survived being in the bottom two at the elimination – a great relief to all the girls.
Although, Zoe wasn't happy about the reason she was placed in the “bottom two”. She felt her night out on the town shouldn't have jeopardised her chanced of winning the competition and was very unhappy with the judges.
Alex Perry made a surprise visit to the house to question whether the girls had been practising their runway skills. He encouraged the girls to try to be great at everything they were doing and view every challenge as a casting they were trying to get booked for.
After the impromptu runway show, Alex declared he wouldn't have booked anybody! He explained that when she casts girls and asks them to walk for him, they should then ask him what style of walk he is looking for. He said the girls needed to have more then one walk in their repertoire.
An Erika-mail arrived over lunch and it got Sam excited about the prospect of getting a fake tan… which would have been fine, had they been going to have fake tans. Needless to say Sam was a little upset when public relations practitioner Prue MacSween arrived at the house to teach the girls how to seel themselves as a brand. Prue encouraged the girls to remain level –headed and reminded them that as a model they were dispensable.
The exercise Prue gave them was to sell a men's deodorant to men. Sam went first and deliberately avoided the typical “sex sells” message – until Prue put her on the right track and then she sizzled. Chloe struggled and just couldn't seem to find the words to sell the product. Prue told Zoe she needed to believe in what she said and be able to convince people out there that she believe it. Gemma was a little contrived, but still good. Shannon was brilliant and nailed it. Simmone treated the camera as an enemy, and wasn't able to take the exercise seriously.
Prue felt all the girls had a long way to go in understanding the need to sell themselves along with the brand.
The next event surprise visitor was PR consultant Nikki Andrews who was to teach the girls how to handle themselves in an interview. Nikki enforced that eye contact was key and the girls should also be enthusiastic with their body language. She re-iterated that the media side of building their career was so important, because the media could make or break a career.
Nikki then gave the girls an exercise that saw them break up into groups and ask each other some curly media questions… Simmone struggled with the unfamiliar terminology that Sam threw at her while Sam got top marks for diplomacy; Shannon had a major problem answering questions without “umm-ing”; Gemma didn't cope well with the questions she was asked with closed body language and tears. After being reprimanded by Erika, Gemma revealed she has suffered from depression for the past six years and as long as she was on medication, she was fine.
The next Erika-mail saw the girl headed out to Epson Day at Randwick Racecourse, where they were told that they were not just there to enjoy the frivolity of the races but that they were to form part of the entertainment – they were about to be let loose on the Australian public as professional models in a fashion show.
Styled by Michael Azzolini and Joh Bailey the girls were pumped about their first official fashion show and working alongside professional models.
Up on the catwalk, Gemma tried to do something different with her walk and Chloe was worried her boobs were going to gall out of her dress. Zoe was surprised to see how well everyone blended in with the professional models and Sam revealed a little more than she had planned to the gawking males. At the end of the show Alex Perry declared the girls had done a great job so they were allowed to mingle and place a few bets.
But not for long! The media training was put to the test when CLEO magazine editor Nedahl Stelio met with the girls and interviews them one on one. Nedahl thought all the girls did really well but she have them to have given a little ebit more of themselves. Nedahl thought Sam came across as very confident and bright, but a little rehearsed and the Gemma needed to let go of what she thought a model should be and let her own personality shine through. Nedahl thought Shannon was great and real, that Chloe was sweet but a little shy and she thought it was great that Simmone wasn't shy to show her she really was. Nedahl declared the winner f the challenge was Shannon and Shannon when picked Simmone to share the reward with her. Both girls were looking forward to visit from their loved one, Shannon 's boyfriend Matt from Perth and Simmone's friend Casey form Melbourne .
An Erika-mail announced an early morning photo shoot the following day. The girls arrived at a wharf location in Pyrmont where they were told they would be working with a mystery male model. Photographed Michelle Holden was looking for very strong sexy imaged with a lot of skin.
As the girls headed to make-up they were introduced to their mystery male model, Olympian Geoff Huegill. The first job the girls has was to help Geoff remove his chest hair by rubbing “Nads” cream all over his torso. Some of the girls enjoyed the experience more than others! Then it was off to wardrobe to prepare for the coming photo shoot, which was being styled by ANTM judge Ken Thompson.
CLEO magazine editor Nedahl Stelio was the guest judge at the elimination and she posed an impromptu challenge for the girls to again test their interview skills.
Zoe was asked why she thought Simmone should be eliminated and she replied that although she thought Simmone was gorgeous she didn't have much confidence and direction in the house as the other girls. Simmone was asked why she thought Sam should be eliminated, to which she that she thought Sam was too over the top. Sam was asked why she thought Gemma should be eliminated and she replied that Gemma hadn't really challenged herself and that there were a lot of emotional area to worry about. Gemma was asked why she thought Chloe should be eliminated and she replied that Chloe wasn't very confident and comfortable selling herself. Chloe was asked why she thought Shannon should be eliminated from the competition to which she replied that Shannon's photos hadn't been as strong as they could be of late and she was missing home a lot, which you cant afford to do as a model.
Shannon was asked why she thought Zoe should be eliminated and she replied that Zoe was beautiful but not particularly versatile.
Regarding the photo shoot with Geoff Huegill – Zoe was assessed positively with the judges saying she looked like she was in control of the shot; Simmone was told she was sizzling, although she had taken a little time to warm up; Sam was told that she communicates well with her body but needs some more versatility in her face; the judged told Gemma she looked gorgeous; Chloe was told that she looked strong and wild and Shannon that her butt looked great, however her face wasn't versatile.
The judges deliberated and when the girls talked back in Erika stood before the siz of them with only five pictures. The first girl she called, who was still in the running to become Australia 's Next Top Model, was Chloe, followed by Sam, Simmone and Gemma.
Shannon and Zoe were asked to step forward for their assessment. Shannon was told she needed to practice and show some more versatility in her look. Zoe was told she had to put in more of an effort as her work had no depth.
Erika then announced that Shannon was still in the running to be Australia 's Next Top Model and asked Zoe to leave the house.__________________________________________________________________
