Say Cheddar!

The girl isn't a very good photographer, and she admits it. However, she still loves to snap pics whenever she can afford to put film in her camera, and she wants to share some of those pics with you. Remember, most of these were either taken with a crappy little point-and-shoot thing with APS film or a webcam, so the picture quality isn't nearly as good as it could be. In the sleep to dream her section you'll find pics taken of the girl rather than by her. You can click on any pic on this page to see the full-size version in a new window.

One Sweet World

More landscape and miscellaneous pics coming soon. Check back in a week or two.

CliveWhen the girl was in the hospital recently, her sister brought her a sand-filled stress ball. The ball proved to be too stiff, so sis replaced it with a gel-filled one, seen at left. The girl named the ball "Clive" and squeezes it whenever she's frustrated.

Nigel the KiwiMany years ago, when she first saw The Hunt for Red October, the girl became a fan of Sam Neill, the actor from New Zealand. When she finally got around to connecting to the internet, the girl found several fan mailing lists devoted to Sam, and she joined up as quickly as her mouse could click. One of the groups she's in, SamNeillFans, adopted the kiwi beanie baby doll ("Beak") as its mascot, and most members proudly display the little guy near their computers. The girl is no exception; her kiwi (affectionately called Nigel, Sam's original first name) sits on a purple hula hoop hanging on the wall above her desk. The girls favorite Sam movie is still The Hunt for Red October, even though she's seen more than 50 other films starring the dashing Kiwi. Little Thing

SassafrassAs as 18th birthday present to herself, the girl adopted a retired racing greyhound called Pullett. The girl changed the dog's name to Sassafrass (Sass or Sassy for short) and got used to having dog hair all over everything she owned. Sassy is going on six years old, and doesn't seem to mind the two cats who curl up with her. She's one happy 40-mph couch potato. Now if she could just learn that the girl doesn't like having a 65-pound weight on her legs when she sleeps, life would be darned near perfect.

UmaWhen the family rabbit died, the girl's sister decided to replace it with a new animal. Instead of another rabbit, she chose to go to the Humane Society and find a dog, so Sassy would have a playmate. Uma, a shepherd cross (mutt!), was the result of that trip. She's between one and two years old, very sweet, and not trained... yet. Sassy and Uma get along well, and once the cats learn that all Uma wants to do is smell them, they'll get along fine, too.

OsirisSethIn May of 2001, the girl and her Corbear got a pair of kittens. The Terrible Two were named Osiris and Seth after the Egyptian gods, and they took their names to heart. These brothers rule wherever they go, though they can be very sweet when they want to be. Both of the boys are talkative, though they only talk to certain people. Osiris talks to both the girl and her mother, while Seth speaks only to the girl and only when he wants something. Here you see Osiris flopped on the left, and Seth, mildly irritated at the papparazzi, on the right.

Mother Father

Genetic ConnectionsWhen the girl was three years old, she suddenly found she had a sister, an aligator, and a blue dress that itched like heck. The sister was no fun, the aligator was named Roger, and the dress is in the back of the girl's closet, waiting for the day she can torture her own daughter with it. This picture shows (counterclockwise from bottom left) the girl, her aligator, her sister, her mother, and her father.

Mom, Sis, and UncleIf the girl wasn't prone to seasickness, she would be in this picture. But alas, she upchucks at the drop of a wave, so she skipped this boating trip. Pictured are the girl's mother, sister, and mother's brother aboard his yacht.

MotherThis is the girl's mother many years ago, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Justin Guarini. Now if Justin could sing the way the girl's mother does... he would've lost American Idol. This isn't to say the girl's mother is a bad singer; she just doesn't have a pop style.

Sexy SisThis, ladies and gentlemen, is the girl's sister. Don't bother asking for her number, as she's happily dating a muppet (sorry, sorry... THE Muppet).

Small SisThis is the girl's sister before she... erm... matured. Wasn't she adorable? Who needs bubble gum when you can chew on your tongue? The child's hair at this age inspired the nickname "blondie", but that monniker had to be replaced when her hair darkened to a medium brown, much like her mother's.

Sleep to Dream Her

look, ma! four wings!Summer of 2000 saw a mini-convention of Star Wars fans from WEB. This mini-con (named the ConnCon because it took place in Connecticut) was hosted by the girl and her best friend, and had a grand total of four participants. During the fun-filled weekend, the foursome stopped at Denny's to refuel, and found that the restaurant had toys to play with. The girl created this X-Wing model, and Theronda created a Tie-fighter. Both models were short-lived thanks to kresie... apparently the models were mocking her and had to be destroyed. Anywho, this picture is all that is left. You can read accounts of the ConnCon here, and be sure to check out the fanfic and fanart at WEB.

don't make me get my riding cropsBefore she got into a life of kink, the girl had an interest in goth fashion. Thus, we see her here in all black, Death Glare at the ready. Once she adopted her new lifestyle, this became one of her favorite outfits, second only to one with knee-high vinyl boots and a leather vest (among other things, of course... the girl is not an exhibitionist). red roses for a blue lady

This is the girl's favorite picture of herself.
It's her favorite for two reasons: she looks good in it, and it's blue, like her mood. The original of this pic also included her ex-fiancé, but he decided to look at the video game he was playing when the camera snapped the pic, so he was duly cropped out.

Here are some new pics of the girl, from her trip to Washington, D.C. and environs. If you look closely you'll notice Eustace the spider who lives on the arm of the girl's jacket. In case you're wondering, the notebook the girl is holding does have something written on it: Do It For Fenton (a DMB joke). In the bag, she has a Hard Rock Café Halloween teddy bear (because it was... orange).
