The Pen Is Mightier Than the...Keyboard?

One of the things that helps keep the girl from going stark raving mad (well, most of the time, anyway) is writing. When she's depressed, she writes about the cause of her depression. When she's happy, she writes about whatever's on her mind. This, somehow, translates into three categories: Moans, Rants, and Poetry. Moans are unhappy bitching about problems, Rants are a combination of social commentary and humor, and Poetry is, well, poetry. Duh. Pick your poison, and off you go.

Moans

Midnight · "In typical fashion for one my age, I want everything, and I want it now. My rational mind tells me to be patient, to plan, to do what I can and wait for the rest."

Waiting · "Always be practical and polite, that was what my mother taught me. Practical I’m working on, but my impulsive nature keeps getting in the way."

Those Eyes · "My favorite look, the one that makes me laugh when I remember it, was the one of joyful surprise. I saw that look three times, and each time it made me happier than I had ever been before."

Rants

Stump Things · "The surprise and excitement pulsed through the forest, and had anyone been present they would have felt the ground trembling."

Poetry

No Coffee · "always ace exams / never skip class" (mp)

Hollow · "with every tear, i asked why / with every tear, i understood"

Graveyard · "Nightmares remind me that / I know what pain feels like."

Harmony · "create a monument to life / or a silhouette of death" (mp)
