Gaming Gold Generations
Award
2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards
This year's closest race in the QB Gaming
Gold Awards is in the Gaming Gold Generations award, where unfinished but
highly entertaining QB demos are honored for their progress, in hopes that
a complete product will someday be realized. And the future looks bright,
with a kingdom in peril, a world to be built, an assassin to be hunted
down, spiders to frag, asteroids to surpass, and race tracks to conquer.
The Nominees for the Gaming Gold Generations
Award
are:
The ARC Network (Abstract Productions)
The second chapter in The ARC Trilogy
continues the adventures of the archaeologists, with worlds more detailed
and dangers new and unexpected.
ProjectRPG (BlueFire Productions)
Bluefire Productions intends to make the
ultimate QBRPG building engine, with fully functioning towns and battle
systems for any dreamer to put together.
Untitled (Tsugumo and FrozenEmu)
While walking in a rainy and dark forest,
a man named Rumas is about to journey into an RPG adventure that no mere
human could ever comprehend...
QBKaboom (Dieter Marfurt)
First-person shooters in QB? Dieter Marfurt
puts the crazy dream one closer to being realized while creating the world
of Kaboom.
Project: Zeta (Aethersoft)
A high-resolution space game, Project
Zeta raises a new bar of expectations for QB arcade game sounds, music,
and visual quality.
Ghini Run Expo Edition (Piptol Productions)
Until Ghini Run, it seemed impossible
to produce any form of 3D-type racing in QB. Ghini Run manages to do so
by combining multiple QB libraries, and it only gets faster with every
new demo release.
And the winner is...
Ghini Run Expo Edition!
