2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards
Chickens in the coop, elves running rampant, nuclear mutants by the hundreds, a kingdom in chaos, and the future in conflict with the past... this can be none other than the list of nominees for the Best Original Story in a QB Game. This year's nominees played around with everything from popular RPG clichés to newfound story ideas to add variation and surprises to their QB games.

The ARC Legacy (Abstract Productions)
The ARC Legacy is one of the first finished
QBRPGs to really take advantage of cutscenes to portray it's post-nuclear
storyline.
Mysterious Song (Darkness Ethereal)
Riddled in RPG clichés, Mysterious
Song blends classic storylines with original twists around the story of
Spear.
The Little Pixy 2 (TMB)
This suprise Christmas entry into the
Gaming Golds brings in a story about an elf and a major emergency in Santa's
workshop.
Chicken Jockey (Hafiz Kassam)
Hafiz Kassam's cockfighting sim produces
a different story about chicken races everytime, with heroes like "Smackdown"
and villains like "Stumpy".
Shadow Legend 2 (Random Projects)
Beginning at Archon's Kai, Shadow Legend
2 brings in the second generation of magicians destined to bring down the
ultimate evil.
