Best QB Programming Team
2001 QB Gaming Gold Awards

Platform games. Space games. Puzzle games. RPGs. The programming teams nominated in this year's QB Gaming Gold awards all have different ways of unlocking the gaming potential of the QuickBasic language, and all have their means of getting there. Some will use pure QB code, while others combine QuickBasic with the latest technologies out there, introducing new technical bounds and new programming challenges to conquer. But no matter what method, the ultimate barometer in this category nests solely on the determination of these nominees and the quality of their respective games.

The Nominees for Best QB Programming Team are:

TMB
With many platformers under their belt and a top-down shooter in their library, The Making Brothers have proven that they have a grip on how to combine great graphics with QuickBasic.

Aethersoft
Aethersoft's incredible project, Zeta, continues to amaze by breaking bounds in graphics, gameplay, and network play.

Random Projects
The makers of the Shadow Legend series, Random Projects is one of the few QBRPG companies to really take the usual gameplay elements of RPGs and challenge them successfully.

Hyper Anime Studios
Hyper Anime Studios is one of those quickly developing QB coding groups, with two puzzle games, a shooter, and a fighting game in one short year's worth of development time.

PHAT Games
In what could possibly be their last year of QB programming, PHAT Games completes the first chapter of their QBRPG, Kids of Karendow.

And the winner is...

PHAT Games!
