God of Dharma
Lord Rama is a very important avatar of Lord Vishnu who descended to present an example of a perfect man, proper leadership, right action, and the ideals of dharma. His adventures are told in the Ramayana, a very important holy text of Hinduism. His pastimes are greatly celebrated in Hinduism.
Rama's Companions
His wife is Sita, an avatar of Lakshmi. She represents the ideal wife. He is also normally pictured with his brother Lakshmana, and the monkey god Hunuman, who represents spiritual devotion.
