385,000 copies of his new single on its first day of release yesterday and
industry experts claim the single is well on course to sell a million copies in
its first week.

Help!
I'm a bit confused about the video. With
Anything Is Possible/Evergreen coming out on Monday
I would've thought I'd have seen the videos by now,
and I've been looking out for them but haven't seen
them or even a way to vote for them on The Box or
something. So if you know please tell
me!
I'm watching Will Young - Pop Idol at the
moment, and I was going to get lots of screen caps,
which I did, but they weren't saving, so I can't get
pics of the show, sorry! Believe me though,
I'm more annoyed than anyone about it!
After the first 45 minutes of the show I worked out
a very slow, annoying way of saving them (I had to
copy and paste every (over 80) picture into paint
and then save from there! I don't think I'll
have time to put them up til' either Monday or
Tuesday but I'll try, 'cause I'd like to put them
all up at once (about 60 are on the right pages).
(sorry if I'm going on a bit!)
This isn't about Will but I thought it was kind of
funny: during a webchat Pop Idol contender Darius
Danesh had 216 marraige proposals!

Travis frontman Fran Healy has slammed Pop Idols describing the hit TV show

All Pop Stars addicts will remember that Hear'Say were rushed off to the
likes of Sheffield and Lapland to work on their debut album before the ink had
even dried on their contracts. As a result they failed to produce a pop classic.

US Pop Idol show to net £35m
Pop Idol guru Simon Fuller is set to earn £35m by selling the Pop Idol show to
America. The former Spice Girls manager has signed a deal with US network Fox
TV, which will screen American Pop Idol later this year.

Young went on a eight-hour bender in Cuba this week and woke up with the mother
of all hangovers.
The 23-year-old has been staying in the island's capital Havana recording the
videos for his debut double A-side single Evergreen and Anything Is Possible.

Stacey says the TV pop talent show format has run its course and television
bosses shouldn't entertain the idea of doing a new series of Pop Idol.
Speaking to worldpop, Warren said: 'I don't think they should have another Pop
Idol. The idea is great but I think we need something different. It's been
rinsed a little too much. Pop Idol should be the final word. It does make great
TV though. It doesn't represent the whole music industry but it seems to be the
new craze for finding bands. It happened with O-Town and Making The Band and
Eden's Crush, the US Popstars band.'

WESTLIFE have dismissed the song chosen to launch Pop Idol Will Young's chart
career as the "weakest" on their recent album.
The Irish quintet were the first to record the mediocre tune, Evergreen, when
they put it on their third LP, World of Our Own, which was released in November
last year...

Becks voted seven times for Pop Idol Will
Victoria Beckham has revealed that husband David was so desperate for
Will Young to win the Pop Idol final on Saturday night that he voted seven times
for the singer. Victoria said: 'David phoned me up and said, 'Have you
voted babe?' and I said no because I couldn't get through. He said 'That's OK
because I've voted for you - I've voted seven times.' Victoria said that after
David got through once, he kept hitting the re-dial button to vote again.
Will was also Victoria's choice to win throughout the contest. 'I think he's
really talented and he's got a unique voice,' Victoria told worldpop recently.
Victoria added that Will's debut single would undoubtedly go to No 1. 'The
single, whether it's good or bad will undoubtedly be a No 1 but can he sustain
it?' she said.
