Ahmedabad - Getting
Around
|
To/From
the Airport
The
airport is 10km north of town; an auto rickshaw costs about Rs. 90.
Auto rickshaw
Most auto rickshaw
drivers are willing to use the meter (it's the dial by their left
knee); make sure they set it to zero at the outset. Traveling
from Ahmedabad train station to Sidi Saiyad's Mosque costs about Rs.
10, though drivers will sometimes quote much more, especially from
the station.
Local
buses depart from Lal Darwaja. Ahmedabad has lot better local
bus service than many other ciities in India. These buses are
called AMTS buses. |
