15th July 1793             

                                       This Indenture made this 10th day of May and in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred & ninety three. Between William Bratcher Senr of the State afor said and Ninety Six District and Laurens County of the one part and William Bratcher Junr of the same place of the other part, Witnefseth that him the said William Bratcher Senr for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds Sterling money of the state aforesaid to him in hand paid by him the said William Bratcher Junr before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof him the said William Bratcher Senr doth hereby acknowledge himself therewith fully satisfied and paid, Hath Given, Granted, Bargained, sold, aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, Sell, convey & confirm unto William Bratcher Junr his heirs and afsigns forever a certain plantation or tract of land situate lying and being in Ninety Six district of Laurens County on both sides of Bullet branch of Reaburns creek beginning on a post oak & runing Thence N 25 W to an agreed on corner black oak corner, Thence E. along an agreed on line between William Bratcher Senr & William Bratcher Junr to an agreed on pine on the original line, Thence South to a stake, Thence West to the begining containing one hundred & fifty acres more or lefs, and is part of a Tract of land Originally granted unto William Bratcher Senr by his excellency Charles Pinckney esquire Governor & Commander in chief in & over the said State bearing the date the fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred & ninety two Together with all & singular the said tract of one hundred & fifty acres of land lying as aforesaid, including the plantation whereon the sd William Bratcher Senr Junr now lives, Together with all the waters, water courses, profits, commodities, advantages, Emoluments, hereditaments, appurtences to the said belonging or in anywise appurtaining and also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, pofsefsion, property, claim & demand whatsoever either in Law or Equity of the sd Wm Bratcher Senr in to or out of the said premises, To have and to hold sd tract of land hereby granted with all appurtenances unto the sd William Bratcher Junrhis heirs & afsigns forever and the said William Bratcher Senr for himself his heirs & afsigns do covenant and agree to & with the said William Bratcher Junr his heirs and afsigns that it may to be Lawfull to and for the said William Bratcher Junr his heirs and afsigns to enter into, hold, occupy, & Enjoy the said land premises without any Let. Suit. or molestation from him the said William Bratcher Senr his heirs or afsigns or any other person whatsoever claiming any right, to the said land and premises but by virtue of these presents doth and will Warrant and forever defend the said land to him the sd William Bratcher Junr his heirs and afsigns forever. In Witnefs whereof the said William Bratcher Senr hath hereunto set his hand & seal.
