for and in consideration of

pounds 4 1/2
sterling money
paid by Joel
Bratcher
into the treasury
for the use of this State,, We have
granted,
and by these presents
do grant
unto the said Joel
Bratcher
his
heirs and assigns ,
a plantation or tract
of land containing two
hundred and twenty three acres/ surveyed for Henry Barton the 19th
day of February 1789/ Situate in the District of Ninety six on the
Branches of big Generostee a Branch of Savannah River bounded NW on Land
unknown on all other sides by vacant Land
having
such shape, form and marks, as are
represented by a plat
hereunto
annexed, together with all woods,
trees, waters, water=courses
profits , commodities , appurtenances ,
and heriditaments whatsoever
there=
unto belonging , To
Have and to Hold
the said tract of
Two hundred and twenty
three
acres
of land, and all singular
other the Premises hereby
granted
unto the said Joel
Bratcher
heirs and assigns, for ever, in free and
common soccage.
