           S T A T E  OF  S O U T H - C A R O L I N A.

                 To all to whom thefe Prefents fhall come, Greeting:

KN O W  Y E,  That for in Confideration of    Six Pound

       Six Shillings                                                        Sterling Money paid by

             William Bratcher

into the Treafury for the  ufe of this  State, We have granted, and by thefe

Prefents do grant unto the faid    William Bratcher his

Heirs    and    Affigns,   a   Plantation   or   Tract   of    Land,    containing

      Two hundred and Seventy                                                   Acres

Situate in the district of Ninety six on both sides of Dutchmans Creek

having  fuch  Shape,   Form  and  Marks,  as  are  reprefented  by  a  Plat

hereunto  annexed,   together  with  all  Woods,   Trees,  Waters,   Water-

courfes,   Profits,   Commodities,   Appurtenances,   and    Heriditaments

whatfoever  thereunto  belonging,  To  have  and to  hold  the faid  Tract  of

 Two hundred and seventy

Acres  of   Land,  and  all  fingular  other  the   Premifes   hereby  granted

unto  the  faid   William Bratcher his

Heirs  and  Affigns,  for ever,  in  free  and  common  Soccage.

Given under the Great Seal of the State.

                   Efquire, Governor and Commander in Chief in and over the  faid State, at Charlefton

                   this    fourth                                         Day of         December                Anno

                   Domini, One Thoufand Seven Hundred and     Eighty six                 and in the
