Plot Summary
This film portrays the life of artist Jean Michel Basquiat (Jeffrey Wright) from the start of his fame in 1979 until his just before his sudden death in 1988 at age 27. Basquiat rises from being a graffiti artist to an international art sensation, sponsored by his good friend Andy Warhol (David Bowie). Basquiat is influenced by his institutionalized mother and his long-suffering girlfriend (Claire Forlani). Other stars in this movie include: Willem Dafoe, Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Tatum O'Neal, Parker Posey, and Courtney Love. Originally titled Build A Fort, Set It On Fire.

Claire's Role
Claire plays Gina Cardinale, a waitress and Jean Michel Basquiat's girlfriend.
