Plot Summary
Based on the best-selling book, this movie explores the first three decades of JFK's life. Patrick Dempsey plays JFK as a young man until his first political campaign. Not only does Dempsey portray the "reckless youth" side of JFK: the naval hero, womanizer, and political misfit, but he also shows us JFK the thinker, writer, and speaker.

Claire's Role
While Claire Forlani's role as Ann Cannon is brief, her scene makes a significant contribution to the premise that JFK led a much livelier and reckless life in his youth than many had previously thought. JFK invites a college acquaintance, Skeeter, to the Ritz Carlton in order impress him. Shortly after JFK meets Skeeter's date, Ann Cannon, JFK has one of the waiters inform Skeeter of a phone call. With Skeeter out of the dining room, JFK askes Ann to dance. Then the two discreetly leave the room.
