The 3rd Session begins your introduction to Searching the Internet. You will be learning to use several of the popular Search Engines with a few exercises from the 'White Papers' section. Please do all the suggested searches to get a real "hands-on" feel of the search engines.
Some of the listed searches are fairly involved, so there are sets of instructions on how to proceed. Try them, you'll be surprised with the results.

The 'White' paper I've called "Intro to Searching" can be printed out, it is a six page Microsoft Word document that walks you through the different 'Boolean Operators' and Searching techniques for several Search Engines. It's a good exercise and is a must do activity if you expect to understand Searching on the Net.

There are other papers listed in the next column that describe in some detail how to use different Branded Search Engines. Check them out, the information may help you.

The papers listed as Mid-Terms are just exercises in Searching with a lot more focus. It would be in your best interest to attempt these projects, you'll be surprised at the information that it will return!
