After crossing ravine...
Now you can take a good rest, and you should have spent about 2:45 hours to get here from La Mucuy's portal.
But I'm sorry to tell you that from now on, the trail gets stepper :-) ...
... And also, the floor is irregular, so you should be careful about loose rocks in unstable positions. The first flat area is half hour after Quebrada del Oso.
And an hour later, vegetation starts to change. Tall trees get replaced by smaller ones and a lot of bamboo.
Also, the track changes because a part of Quebrada La Coromoto often flood the road, making harder to advance. When this happens, you have to get out of trail and get into the woods to surround the water. You can do that taking small shortcuts at your left side, but be aware that you should not get too far from river, and the floor of such shortcuts is very slippery.
When you get to bamboo zone there is one hour and a half left to get to lagoon. The road is rocky and sometimes is covered by mist, and temperature drops a lot. You'll find here a beautiful corner where river forms a natural pool called "Pozo Encantado" (Enchanted Pool). It would be perfect if water were not so cold. Now you've walked 2:20 hours from Quebrada del Oso.
There are some slopes left, like the one at right (the last one!). You'll realize that the canyon you've been walking through is getting wider. You're almost there!...
