GUN CONTROL:
The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

I Can't resist this piece of good news to end the year(Nat.Post West to East)
Ontario: Most gun owners have not registered weapons: RCMP OTTAWA - Only a fraction of gun owners have registered their firearms since the mandatory federal gun registry took effect three years ago, RCMP figures show. Only 311,000 of at least two million gun owners had registered by November and the system is backlogged with several hundred thousand application forms. (The "THANKS BUT NO THANKS" Promotion from the NFA looks like it's working. Keep the Ball Rolling throughout 2002 Once Dec. 31 2002 comes, there will still be amnesty after amnesty, extension after extension, in the effort to get 'someone' to register 'something' (There have been FIVE extensions to the prohibited amnesty already). When you finally fill out your registration form, beware of the pitfalls, and fill it out EXACTLY as the NFA suggests, just to make sure you don't make an error that will land you in jail, or get your firearms confiscated. Even the government has 'unofficially' acknowledged that there are millions of more guns in this country than they 'officially' want to admit. Right now, those figures above, looks like a 15-16% compliance rate!! Not exactly the "Phenomenal Success" they keep bragging about.. "The Emperor HAS no Clothes")

Unless something incredible happens over the holidays, this will be the last update until the new year. I would like to wish the readers of this page All the best of the season, and a return to freedom from the firearms farce in 2002.

A letter from Gary Mauser to the National Post: Dec.24/01
If availability of firearms precipitated violence, then South Dakota, which has the most firearms per capita in the United States, would have the highest homicide rate in the United States, not the lowest. In Canada, the rural areas have the most guns per capita, but they also have the lowest rates of criminal violence. (If Guns were eliminated tomorrow, the 62,000 times per year that Canadian use them in the defence of life or property would also be eliminated. If only ONE life in 40 was actually saved, then firearms SAVE more than 1540 lives annually.. Which is by the way, is  MORE  than the Total Average number of MURDERS and ATTEMPTED Murders, Combined per year in Canada, over the last FIVE YEARS.  Average number of Murders & Attempted Murders = 1300  (Stats Can link)
Recent parolees implicated in Mountie's death
"This is certainly a very grave and tragic incident involving two federal offenders," Tim Krause, a spokesman for the Correctional Service of Canada, said in an interview from Saskatoon.  "We are going to be conducting a detailed joint investigation along with the National Parole Board into the community release and supervision of both these offenders." (Perhaps what is needed, is to direct moneys saved from the inevitable dumping of the C.F.C. into Paid Accommodations for Parole Board Members and their families, within a gated community.  Where, they will co-reside for at least 2 years within this gated community, with people whom they parole, and deem 'rehabilitated' enough to join society with 'US'!! I'm sure a lot more thought would go into the release of these 'rehabilitated' offenders if the consequences 'may' affect them directly )
Guest shot dead, groom injured at B.C. wedding reception
"We're confident this undoubtedly is gang-related," he said. "We're hoping individuals are going to come forward to assist us in putting some of this gang-related activity to a halt." (Do you think maybe a diversion of funding from the C.F.C. to combat 'criminal gun users' instead of Law Abiding Gun Owners might help Eliminate problems such as this? Do you think that if the Canadian Police Association had withdrawn their support for this waste of money when they had the chance, that MORE funds may have been directed towards REAL Crime Control instead of this POLITICAL Agenda.. Think about it... Direct the Crime Control Money Where it SHOULD be going.. CONTROLING CRIME - NOT PEOPLE)
Firearms are a big hit as gifts this year
This is 'Obviously' an American Headline.. As all Canadian Shooters know, The Canadian Government says if 'Santa' were to give guns for christmas, we would all be shooting ourselves in the street by boxing day.. Santa of course would be immediately arrested for the importation, possession and transporting of firearms without a licence. But I'm just as sure, a fine old family heirloom rifle will still be given to a Canadian son or daughter somewhere in this country as a christmas gift.. To the Recipient of this fine firearm I say, WAIT.. Wait until the VERY LAST MINUTE POSSIBLE to fill out a registration form advising  the Government where they can find this fine firearm, when the time comes for it to be confiscated.)
Peel Regional Police - Loaded gun seized during ride spot check
The driver of a 1991 Honda Civic entered the designated RIDE program, and was subsequently investigated by police. During the investigation, police observed a firearm protruding from underneath the drivers seat. The driver was arrested, and search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .357 Colt Magnum handgun with six hollow point rounds of ammunition, and a butterfly flick knife.(THIS is what 'should' be happening. If the police had the money that has, and continues to be wasted by the C.F.C on Law  Abiding Citizens, more punks with illegal guns such as this could be purged from our streets. THAT would 'finally' produce a "Culture of Safety". In this case, as have most of the others, the courts will dump the gun charges, and release the guy in a few months.)

‘Turban Chaser’ Rifle Alarms Gun Control Advocates
The Ithaca Gun Co. is selling a line of “Homeland Security”  pump-action shotguns “in our current time of national need,” according to the company’s Web site. Another Web link that Aron and Waxman displayed comes from Tromix Corp., which is advertising a .50-caliber “Turban Chaser” rifle on its site. (ANY Rifle will Alarm the gun control advocates!! There have been so many hits on the Tromix Site, it's temp. closed )
(AGS) Americans For Gun Safety
It's time for full disclosure. Americans for Gun Safety has zero Americans for members, and nothing to do with gun-safety programs. It's a billionaire's pet project, staffed by the architects of the anti-gun agenda of Bill Clinton and Sen. Charles Schumer. (Anti gun groups such as Canada's "Coalition for Gun Control" have always relied on warped statistics, and false claims to get their point across.. Canada's gun control group (which looks like will be dissolved this year for non-disclosure) was formed because In 1989, Marc Lepine carried a rifle and entered the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal and shot over twenty people - most of whom were women. Fourteen women died. He then killed himself. All of these people died because of three reasons, and ONLY three reasons. #1  Marc Lepine was crazy, #2 Marc Lepine was the ONLY one armed, #3 The police (Gathered outside)  did NOT enter the building until more than 30 minutes after the first shot was fired. )
In One of MANY "Isolated incidents" The C.F.C. STILL Can't get it Right(Ottawa Citizen)
Gun owner fears registry lacking, Ottawa man receives someone else's papers: Dennis Young, parliamentary secretary to Canadian Alliance MP Garry Breitkreuz, a gun registry critic, says this type of mix-up "happens all the time." Mr. Young says he's heard stories of people receiving multiple licences or licences with incorrect photo identification. In one case he says a member of the Hells' Angels biker gang received a person's (Registration) package by mistake, drove up to the person's house to return the certificates, and said he didn't have any guns, but he would know where to come if he ever did.( Once the biker club member has 'found' some guns, he only has to print up one of those 'new' 'El-Cheepo' Registration certificates(?)'.. As long as no one takes the time to check it out, it will be accepted as a valid firearms registration certificate)
PETA Approved: Finnish Fishmonger Fined for Flogging Fresh, Flopping Fish
Ekstrom whacked his fish to prove they were dead, but when the fish continued to flop around the dissatisfied vet called in the police who arrived on the scene with wailing sirens.(There!!! See!! ALL the insanity is not just in Canada! The Moral of this story? Be very careful about who sees you whack your fish!)
Armed forces 'well-equipped,' Chrétien fires back
"Many critics of defence spending are lobbyists for arms industry: PM"
OTTAWA - Jean Chrétien yesterday dismissed widespread criticism that the Canadian Forces are underfunded and ill-equipped, blaming lobbyists for the armaments industry and generals with a "1939" mentality for creating a false impression of Canada's combat readiness. (It's a 'False' impression? Oh god.. I feel so much better knowing that our military can't do their job properly, simply because of a 'false impression'...
I think most Canadians would be satisfied if the Liberals allowed what's left of our underfunded military to make ANY impression at all.. As for the arms industry? Hey "PeaceKeeper Jean" We don't HAVE a "Arms Industry anymore!!")
Canadian troops may be kept back from UN mission
Britain has agreed to act as lead nation for three months and asked Mr. Annan to help identify a successor. Canada had been mentioned as a possible successor, but Canadian officials quickly scotched that idea, citing capacity problems. (The Liberals have taken Canada to the next step of international insignificance. Doesn't that make your heart swell with national pride?)
PM balks at hitting Iraq next
Jean Chrétien, the Prime Minister, has warned the United States that Canada will not support an attack on Iraq if the issue of UN weapons inspectors is used as the justification. (Here is a man who is more than willing to have 'his' gun cops kick down 'YOUR' door, and inspect 'YOUR' home for firearms, but 'Balks' at doing the same thing to a hostile regime?? I'm sure Bush is very worried that he has been 'warned' by Chrétien that Canada will not support ridding the world of another terrorist threat.. How will he back up this 'warning'? Pummel him with Tim Bits? Because of Chrétien and his under funding policies, Canada does not have the international ability, or credibility, to make any warnings on a world stage.)
Ottawa extends gun amnesty for fifth time
CALGARY -- The federal government has extended its amnesty on illegal firearms for the fifth time, a move critics call proof that Ottawa's gun-control program isn't working. "Instead of just proclaiming amnesty after amnesty, why doesn't she just  admit the government was wrong to ban them all in the first place?" said Garry Breitkreuz, gun-control critic for the Canadian Alliance. "If it's so dangerous to have these guns in the hands of people, why pass these amnesties?" Mr. Breitkreuz estimates, based on import and export documents, that there are at least three million gun owners in Canada and 16 million to 20 million  guns. The National Firearms Association estimates the number of guns at 20 million to 25 million. (The Government, needing their numbers to look good, naively stick to their estimate of only Seven Million Guns. Because, if they admit their numbers are wrong, 'and even they know they are',  that would mean they have created MILLIONS of new Canadian Criminals out of formerly law abiding citizens, and All of their rules...All of their Laws...ONLY affect firearms in the hands of the law abiding, and NOT the criminal use of guns which are the REAL problem. But, as long as the uninformed, unknowledgeable, and uncaring masses turn a blind eye,  they will continue this wasteful farce, endangering your lives from REAL criminals, and wasting millions more of your tax dollars. Welcome to the Liberal "Culture of Safety")
Gun Ownership – Are We Fit to Be Free?
Had pilots on the three hijacked planes on Black Tuesday been armed, there is every chance that the twin towers at the World Trade center would still be standing, the Pentagon would be intact, and thousands of innocent victims would still be among us, alive to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. That they aren't is largely the fault of the fascistic anti-gun fanatics who have used dishonest statistics and outright lies to blame  firearms, and not those who criminally use them, in order to create a national distaste for firearms. (It has already been shown, because of restrictive Gun Control Laws, Canada has a much larger percentage of home invasions and break-ins than the U.S.A. Why?  Because up here, their not as likely to be shot by the homeowner, and as a result,  we just have another victim. How's our current  homeland defence against terrorism?  The Liberals, and their "gun-o-phobia" policies have just Armed Our front-line border personnel with ..are you ready for this!!... HANDCUFFS.. Do You Feel Safer? I hope Not!!)
Government changes tack on gun registry
Ottawa - The federal government is trying to put a lid on its costly gun registry program. The Justice Department granted firearms owners another extension Wednesday. Owners of restricted firearms get another year to register them and owners of prohibited firearms get another year to turn them in. The government is looking to contract out part of the program to a private company. Costs have ballooned to nearly $500 million or almost six times what it was supposed  to cost. (HA!! its closer to a BILLION) With massive cost overruns, the government has now decided to look at contracting out major portions of the operation. It's also considering scrapping its customized forms and database, and replacing them with an off-the-shelf form. That would require an entirely new  computerized system, and the transfer of vast volumes of data. The Firearms Centre says it plans to keep the actual  screening of gun owners and licences in government hands. But almost everything else is up for bids.( This entire mess could be replaced overnight with  proven, cost effective, legislation currently all ready to go, but they would rather just keep on wasting taxpayers money, in this massive bureaucratic nightmare.)
Laminating Your New 'El-Cheepo' Registration Certificate
Lawyers in the Library of Parliament Research Branch provided the following legal opinion to Garry Breitkreuz's Office
Quote: There is nothing in the Firearms Act which expressly prohibits a person from laminating their
registration certificate. The only provision which appears applicable is section 107 which provides that it is an
offence to "alter," "deface" or "falsify" a firearms document, including a registration certificate, without lawful
excuse. These words are not defined and one must rely on the ordinary meaning of such terms. This provision
would seem to be concerned with the fraudulent acts which would result in a material change to the document.
Laminating a registration certificate would not have such an affect and the courts may find that such an act is
not altering, defacing or falsifying a document. (Seeing that its ok to laminate your new "Bottom of the Barrel Quality" piece of photocopy paper, the feds laughingly call a 'lifetime' Firearms Registration Certificate. Any document protection they might want to include in the future, from embossing to even a rubber stamped signature, will be unable to be verified by a police officer on the spot, without calling the C.F.C for verification. So, until some verification scheme is included in these 'photocopied raffle ticket' quality 'Documents' Gun thieves will be able to easily produce an equal quality false 'certificate' for each stolen firearm. They won't be detected, until someone actually calls the C.F.C. to verify the name or runs the firearm serial number on CPIC)
U.S. Firearms Injuries Decrease Dramatically
Analysis of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data from the Firearms Injury Surveillance Study for 1993-1997 show a dramatic decrease in non-fatal firearms-related injuries for all age categories for children and adolescents. This decrease coincides with a similar drop in accidental firearms fatalities, which reached an all-time low in 2000. (Well what do you know!! Since the Liberals introduced stricter gun control in THIS country, firearm murders have increased by over 20% )
Everyone Wants a Gun From Grandmothers to Gun Supporters
Since the Sept 11 attacks, firearm sales have increased and continue to rise, reports El Latino. According to the FBI, permit requests for weapon purchases are up 20 percent, and National Rifle Assocation (NRA) reports that the fire ranges are packed mainly by women. (The gun club I belong to has seen a welcome increase in the number of women shooters. Our last open house (before 9/11) was packed with people wanting to fire a gun, and we signed up 27 new members. No, it's NOT only Americans that want to feel safer, particularly in Liberal controlled Canada.  A place where where the government has assured the criminal, that he will 'usually' be the only one armed.)
And ANOTHER Liberal Fairytail Based on Uninformed Responses
News Release December 19 2001
"Would you favour or oppose a law that would require all firearms in Canada to be registered with the federal  government?"
Toronto, On – 1995’s gun control law requires that all firearms in Canada be registered by the year 2003, an idea  that has received increasing support among Canadians since 1995: 64% of Canadians in a Gallup Poll conducted  in June 1995, 72% in October 1998, 73% in October 1999 and 70% in October 2000. The highest support was  noted in November 1994, with 83% in favour of a National Firearms Registry. This year, according to a Gallup Poll conducted this month, 76% of Canadians support a national firearms registry, up slightly from 70% last year. Twenty-three percent (23%) oppose registering all firearms with the federal government, while 2% hold no opinion on the question.(The print is small because it's really not worth the space.. This poll was done 'before' 9/11, and 'before' they spent almost a billion dollars, took police off the streets, and wasted funds that would have saved many more lives if spent on police, hospitals, or our under funded military. I wonder what the results would be if the question asked was More  informative, and Truthful?  "With the knowledge that this law is NOT supported by front line police officers, and will NOT take guns out of the hands of most criminals, and WILL remove  some police officers from their normal assigned duties,. Would you favour or oppose the government spend a Billion Dollars to licence and register the firearms of law abiding citizens?"I would imagine that any 'thinking' Canadian would tell them to blow it up their wazooo"
Minister Of Justice Extends Amnesty Period For Firearms
OTTAWA, December 19, 2001 — The Honourable Anne McLellan, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, today announced that the amnesty for prohibited handguns and unregistered restricted firearms will be extended to December 31, 2002. The extension of the amnesty, which began December 1, 1998, gives people until the end of next year to dispose of certain prohibited handguns that they cannot legally keep. In February 1995, the government responded to concerns from the public and the policing community by announcing the prohibition of short-barreled or .25 and .32 calibre handguns. However, all individuals who had registered, or had applied to register a prohibited handgun at that time were grandfathered and can continue to use their firearm with the appropriate authorization.( Ohhh look!!! another Amnesty... And of course, in this liberal fantasy, all the criminals will be turning their guns in, along with the law abiding folk.  They target the law abiding, because they make such a good example for the criminal element to follow.. And they will follow... all the way to your house, and steal what's yours at gunpoint!.. Canadian Gun Control!!! Like the energizer bunny, this farce keeps going...and going...and going.. Soon, it will be out of money, and GONE!  Why would a person who is currently grand fathered under this stupid law be more trustworthy that any other law abiding licensed firearm owner simply because 'They had one when this farce started" I've owned handguns for over 30 years, but these paranoid liberals say I can't own/trade/aquire a short barrelled gun, because I didn't own one in 1995.. now 1998.. If I knew this asinine law was coming, I would have went out and bought one. If I have been trustworthy for 30 years, why not now? And why should I trust a Government that won't trust me?)
Afghanistan Peacekeeping
OTTAWA - Canadian troops could be in Afghanistan before Jan. 1 as part of an international peacekeeping force, although Canada's contingent could be less than the 1,000 originally pledged, Jean Chrétien said
yesterday.("PeaceKeeper Jean" The Canadian inaction figure, probably can't locate enough equipment for 1000 men after the generous 1% Liberal funding increase to military equipment spending.. Why do they even go through the motions? Our under funded military is becoming a liability to other countries.)
Have You Seen The 'NEW' Registration Certificates?
This is 'good' news, and 'bad' news.. The CFC has obviously hit the bottom of the barrel as far as secure, tamperproof  firearm registration is concerned. The new certificates which they tell you to laminate (at your own expense) are printed with black toner or ink, on ordinary 20 lb photocopy stock, and can be reproduce by any 10 year old kid with a cheap text program and ten minutes to spare. There are NO security features whatsoever, anyone with stolen guns can simply print them up.. Hell, there isn't even a need to 'photocopy' one in the quest to make it look authentic. Unless the police or conservation officer 'runs' each and every registration 'certificate' they are looking at, there is NO WAY to tell if its authentic, particularly when laminated. This is what the taxpayer is spending a BILLION dollars on???? What a crock.. If they printed the damn things with a rubber stamp, and filled in the info with a pencil it would be more secure than the joke they are passing around the Liberal "Culture of Safety" as a firearms registration certificate. At least a 'rubber stamp' would slow a gun thief down a bit, until he had one made.. The damn thing looks like a 9 year old child's paper invitation to a birthday party.. Same Quality.. Isn't it TIME to call it quits, and run this entire farce through a 'secure' paper shedder and give it a proper burial?
Canada beats U.S. at theft, arson

Expert links gun control to high rate of break-ins
Canadians steal more cars — especially sport utility vehicles — commit more break-ins and burn more buildings per capita than their American neighbours, according to a new study.  A comparison of 20 years of crime data in Canada and the United States shows that while violent crime rates in the U.S. remain far higher, largely because of the use of guns, Canadians are the victims of more property crimes per capita, Statistics Canada said yesterday. Guns not only explain the higher level of violent crime in the U.S., they also account for our higher property crimes, said Marc Ouimet, a professor of criminology at the University of Montreal. "One study found that a burglar in the U.S. has a better chance of being shot than of going to jail," he explained. "Americans are more likely to defend their own goods, so it's more dangerous to burglarize or steal a car."
(The Population of the U.S. is 10 times higher than Canada's, and they have 70 times as many guns. Violent crime rates in the U.S. are NOT 10 times higher than in Canada's, because MORE GUNS =LESS CRIME..  In Every one of the 34 states in the U.S.A. which allow their citizens to carry a concealed firearm, the crime rates have DROPPED drastically, and continue to drop, while Canada's increase. Over a 20% rise in handgun murders alone in the last 5 years, and handguns have been registered and licensed in Canada since the 1930's. The defence of your home and family should be a Canadians Number 1 Priority. BUY A GUN .. keep it handy.. USE IT if you have to)
If it Embarrasses the Liberals, Censorship is alive and well in Canada
TORONTO - A book published in the United States that argues Canada is an  ideal launching pad for international terrorists has been turned back at the border by Canadian authorities, says the volume's author, an Ottawa-based public-sector official.(Remember.. Just like the P.M. Said after 9/11 "Dare are NO Terroist Cells working from widin Canada".. An Dats Da Trut...)
This is why Jean Can't see the terrorists in Canada.
Jean Chrétien added intellectual insult to moral (and probably physical) injury by explaining that there is a difference between the political and terrorist wings of Hamas. This is nonsense, for the political wing wins hearts and minds for terrorism. As George W. Bush said, the money is "used by Hamas to recruit suicide bombers and support their families."( Ahh the P.M. and his 'Rose' Coloured Glasses... Well it at least smells like someone dropped a 'Rose' )
Toronto police officer shot on duty
Constable Tony Macias, a 12-year veteran of the force, was shot at 9:40  p.m. in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue area. A police source said Const. Macias was hit in the shoulder by a gunman who  appeared to be in his teens. The source said the officer walked up to a suspect, asked him what was going on and was immediately shot. The bullet passed through the top of his protective vest, collapsed a lung and nicked an artery. A registered nurse at a bar across the road from the shooting said she  rushed out to see the officer lying on the ground. "I heard like four or five shots fired and I ran out to go across the street to help," said the woman, who would only give her first name, Diane. She said the area is a rough one. "It's Weston Road, enough said," she said.(I Spent a good portion of my youth in the Weston Road Lawrence Ave. area where this took place. I bought my first rifle for $8.00 when I was 14 years old at the Surplus Store on the corner of Lawrence and Weston Rd., A cooey 'pattern .22' training rifle.   But this was the 50's, and no kid I ever knew, or heard of, carried a firearm of any kind.. Punks with guns, THIS is what the law should be cracking down on, NOT the law abiding. If Caught committing a crime with a gun, you go away for 10 years minimum consecutive sentence, NO deal making, NO plea bargain, NO sentence reduction. If not a Canadian Citizen, your deported when the COMPLETE  sentence is done. Its time the Government cracked down on the REAL Problems concerning firearms, and leave the law abiding alone. I'm sure that when police officers are approaching a punk with a shotgun in a parking lot at night, the thought "I wonder if this is a Duck Hunter" never enters their minds.)
The world did change on Sept. 11
On the domestic  front, the first victim among Democratic policies has been "gun control." In some parts of the U.S., firearm sales are up by as much as 22%, especially sales to women. But even this trend  shouldn't have surprised anyone: A few months before 9/11, the head office of the "Million  Mom March," the fluffiest, most media-friendly "gun control" group, laid off 30 of its 35 staff. Gun control is a dead issue in American politics: Politicians can't tell the citizenry they have to be on full alert and then turn around and announce new restrictions on the ability to defend yourself. And any Democrat who thinks otherwise is welcome to try running in a competitive  election on an anti-gun platform.(In Canada, the cutbacks are being felt at the C.F.C. They now issue paper registration certificates to those who have bought new guns, or have soldout their future freedom for $18.00. New polls are made on the basis of dumb questions in the ongoing attempt to make the number of firearms owners seem millions smaller than it actually is., And inturn make their embarrising failure seem less to those who have little knowledge or understanding of the firearms issues in Canada.
THE LONG, LOVING MARRIAGE OF BOYS TO GUNS
Retail reports say that this season's hot toys are various versions of GI Joe, along with assorted lethal accessories like machine guns and M-16s. The reason, of course, is the war in Afghanistan and the heroics of the Marines, carrier crews and special operations troops. Various feminist, education and feel-good groups who regard small males as aberrations in need of correction - "We share, we don't shoot" - are horrified but have no choice but to keep quiet. The public mood is pro-military. On Christmas morning, I hope the little boys - and little girls, if they're so inclined - take their GI Joes and war toys outside and spend the day playing "Capture the Taliban." It will be more fun than a video game. Besides, a little rain won't kill you, but youthful inactivity may.(Here in Canada, Canadians have been so embarrassed by our governments desecration of our once proud military, that it would be hard to imagine 'Canadian' war toys! Perhaps Helicopters that fall randomly from the sky, striking fear in the hearts of the enemy . Or how about  F-18's , no batteries and only a 'left' wing,  with no spare parts to attach the other one.  How about the inaction figure "Peacekeeper Jean" that doesn't come with firearms, ammunition, or 'issued' equipment that actually works.  How about a colourful crest for "Peacekeeper Jean's" uniform that shows a Beaver with a pop gun, and the motto: "God help us ...We're Canadian"
I'm Sure Some of you have already Discovered This But:
Thank you for your correspondence.
Yes it is true, please note that we are now producing registration certificates in paper format rather than in plastic as the paper format is a faster method of producing certificates.  You may laminate your certificates if you wish.  Yours truly, Communication Group Canadian Firearms Centre(This was passed onto me: I'm sure some of you are aware of this 'cost' saving cutback. I am curious about the legality of laminating legal documents. You are not allowed to laminate a birth certificate (although they used to 'come' laminated by the government) Once laminated, it would be very difficult to determine if it was a forgery or not. Unless there is a portion of the registration certificate that was un-reproducible, and capable of exposing a fraudulent document (such as cheques have, and THIS can be reproduced with U.V. inks), they could be reproduced at will by anyone competent with a computer. (At least the plastic required some specialized equipment) So, if your guns are stolen, looks like the government has created a whole new underground industry for the ambitious criminal, and the illegal firearms business. Once again Security takes a back seat to this farce. In the future, The police and conservation officers will have to absorb the cost and time to  'run' every certificate they check,  just to determine if its a forgery or not. And, if they don't, the thief will never be caught with your stolen guns)
B.C. Joins the Other Provinces, and Opts Out
OTTAWA, Dec. 14 /CNW/ - The Honourable Anne McLellan, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, today announced that the Government of Canada is preparing to administer the firearms program in British Columbia. "British Columbians support and deserve an effective firearms program that is already delivering on its important public safety objectives," said Minister McLellan. "We will continue to work with the provincial government to ensure that a high level of client service is maintained." The transition will take place on April 1st, 2002. As a consequence, the British Columbia Chief Firearms Office will be consolidated into the Northwest Region Office in Edmonton. The federal Chief Firearms Officer, who already administers the program in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the three northern territories, will have responsibility for British Columbia as well.(Well, here they are!! the liberals are painting a turd to make it look more acceptable!!. And as usual they end their little story with the latest statistics from their misleading polls to tell the poorly informed/misinformed/uninformed of how well their doing.. )
Privacy concerns at Canadian Firearms Program
With respect to the collection and use of personal information, my review revealed that the controls limiting
access to the Police Information Retrieval System, for example, are inadequate. Firearms officers have access to more information than they need to make decisions about the eligibility of applicants. They also have access to personal information about other individuals, such as witnesses, acquaintances, and victims. These individuals are not applying for licences. The information about them would not normally be relevant to program requirements.  Another problem is that firearms officers rely on information collected from the Police Information Retrieval System database without verifying the accuracy of the information with the originating police agency. This is contrary both to established RCMP policies and to section 6(2) of the Privacy Act, which requires that personal information be accurate, up-to-date and complete. The review also revealed that some of the information being collected from police databases for the Firearms Interest Police system relates to incidents that do not qualify under section 5 of the Firearms Act or that are based on unsubstantiated information. (Perhaps, just perhaps, defective information systems such as the FIP database referred to here, is the reason that a lot of people 'Don't want to become involved'  when they witness a crime. Their personal information also ends up in this 'data dump' and may come back to haunt them someday in a completely unrelated context.. The FIP is the 'least' of your problems in sharing personal information with this governemnt. You might also want to  see what happens when your firearms licence information gets stolen..yup, it happened.. AND, Click here to read the amount of YOUR personal data that has been SOLD by a private shedding company. They even sold some of it to China. )

Humorless Jeans Pie Thrower WINS his Appeal
Brown's lawyer argued that the sentence was too severe and seemed to place too much emphasis on deterrence. On Thursday, the provincial Supreme Court agreed with that argument. Justice Jacqueline Matheson noted that there hadn't been a rash of pie throwing at  politicians on the Island, either before or after Brown hit the prime minister. She reduced Brown's sentence to the time he had already spent in jail. (I'm surprized the 'pie' was not called a 'weapon'... 8 days in jail is still too much for applying a simple, cosmetic improvement to any politician that truly deserves it)

MILLIONS MORE GUNS IN CANADA THAN THE GOVERNMENT WILL ADMIT
Ottawa – Today, Garry Breitkreuz, the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, threw another monkey wrench into the Liberal’s problem-plagued gun registry.  No matter how you count the number of guns in Canada, the government’s own reports show that there are millions more guns in Canada than the government is willing to admit.  “This research will be an embarrassment to the government because the Justice Department is busy conducting new polls to once again lower the estimate of the number of firearms they have to register before the end of December 2002,” said Breitkreuz. (Click here to see Garry's research,  also see Gee How many Guns are there? below.. Now, apparently they are no longer issuing 'plastic' registration cards, but have reverted back to the old paper kind With no doubt, a replacement fee, when they wear out. The Government has been advised, to cut their losses, and start over with a clean sheet of paper. Its not likely the arrogant yuppie bureaucrats that conceived this mess will concede defeat, but THAT'S the ONLY thing that will curtail the ill conceived waste and slap down the stubbornness that runs rampant in this government.)
Oooo TeeHeee..Silly Mistake..Officer forgets gun in school washroom
Realizing his holstered revolver, attached to his trousers, would be visible under the stall, he removed the gun from the holster and placed it on the back of the toilet so children would not be alarmed. But he forgot the gun and returned to the classroom. A few minutes later, a Grade 2 student using the washroom spotted the gun on the back of the toilet. The boy informed a teacher, who sought out the police officer and asked him whether he had his revolver. "The officer said, 'Of course,' then he felt where it was supposed to be," Ms. Pross recounted. "He realized what had happened and rushed off."(Unsafe storage of a loaded firearm, endangering the life of a child, What the Hell Where You Thinking??? When people TRUST a police officer with a loaded firearm, they at least think he's competent enough to have earned that trust. This man should be relegated to a desk job, required to take further training and re-qualification, in the proper use, storage, and handling of a loaded firearm before  he is trusted to carry  in a public place again. Better yet! he should just be Fired for being incredibly stupid and complacent regarding the possession of a firearm in school full of children).
Canada to set up air base
Defence Minister Art Eggleton said yesterday. "I think we're pretty close to having a lock on the United Arab Emirates in terms of our air base of operations," he said. "It hasn't  been finalized, but we're close."(Hey Art!! has anyone told you that you need 'aeroplanes' at a 'airbase'? The 'last' Canadian conflict, required our pilots to run around and borrow batteries from the Italian Airforce so they could get off the ground! Maybe you should sign a deal with Energizer. Our pilots may not have the necessary onboard electronic equipment to keep them safe, but will be assured by Liberal 'feel good' policies that they at least have "The Bunny Inside")
Making it up as he goes along, Martin on spending spree
This year's instant trash concept is the contingency reserve. In May,  Paul Martin reiterated his commitment to the contingency reserve as an annual $3-billion pool that would be used to cover forecasting risks and other economic errors. "It is not a source of funding for new policy initiatives. If not needed, it will be used to pay down the public debt." Yesterday, Mr. Martin rewrote the rules. Not only will the debt not be reduced, all $3-billion will go out the fiscal door this year,  blown away in a great Liberal hurricane of new spending initiatives.(This "Fugdet" and Government incompetence is going to leave our country in the same fiscal 'Liberal' condition it was in when Trudeau was finally kicked out of office. There's not a hunter in Canada that cannot tell this wasteful pack of trough wallowers where they can find some extra money. This semi elected band of out-of-touch yuppies, has allocated more money to the Continuing Failure Centre, than the latest budget funds allocated to our dilapidated Military. DUMP THE C.F.C ITS ONLY ASSURING THAT CRIMINALS WILL BE ARMED, WHILE YOUR NOT!!.."CULTURE OF SAFETY" MY ASS)
Do rural homeowners need guns for self-defense?
He’d had the wife down on her living room couch when the husband, hearing her screams, grabbed his Walther .32 auto from his night-table drawer and ran to her aid.  The guy heard him coming, and threw himself to his feet to take the husband. The guy was big. Then he saw the pistol…and got small. (This is a U.S. story, but the ONLY difference here, would be the husband and wife are killed by the intruder because The Liberal Government has deemed the .32 auto as a "prohibited" weapon of which only "Some" people are trustworthy enough to own. What makes them more trustworthy? Well they had one when the law was enacted. That makes them much safer than those that didn't ??? In this case, the criminal became immediately aware of a 'sudden and acute failure of the victim selection process.')
Like the War Measures Act, only worse
C-42 introduces the concept of "interim orders." In effect, those are emergency regulations that ministers can make unilaterally. They are not obliged to tell Parliament. They are not obliged to tell Cabinet for 90 days. They can adopt these secret regulations, enforce them immediately, but not publish them for 23 days.(The fact that the Liberals 'also' want to know the where-abouts, type, location, of all firearms and their owners as well as these extraordinary powers. Requires an amount of trust in this government, that most Canadians are unwilling to concede. But of course, the Liberals have a huge majority, and because of this, they also feel they have the mandate to relieve you of many rights to which you mistakenly thought you had entitlement. what's next? Well, seeing that there are no current viable opposition parties, why bother with having another election in the future)
UNINFORMED POLL RESULTS NEXT TO USELESS
The question Environics asked was this: “The government of Canada has passed a law concerning the
ownership of firearms.  This law requires that Canadians register each firearm that they own, prohibits certain
kinds of firearms, requires that owners pass a safety test and a safety check, and that firearms are stored
unloaded in a secure place.  In general do you strongly support, somewhat support, somewhat oppose or
strongly oppose this law.?” The Environics poll question is misleading because it confuses the issue of registering each firearm (passed in 1995) with measures that had been part of previous Criminal Code provisions requiring safe storage and safety tests to acquire firearms.(Remember, if you DON'T Support this Question, as worded, you ARE (among other things) supporting the Storage of Loaded Firearms, where children can find them... They Demand Quebec have a clear Question in their next referendum, but support a bullshit question such as this for their own benefit. This is why the government states that the majority of Canadians are in Favour of  Their 'Gun Control' legislation. Right now, they have spent and budgeted MORE money on this ongoing boondoggle, than they have on the Canadian Military, who's rag-tag bag of outdated equipment is the laughing stock of  NATO..But, Toronto HAS been made safe from renegade Duck Hunters..Their still working on the terrorist thing...)
Private Members Bill To Give Canadians 'Property Rights'(NFA Alert)
Mr. Garry Breitkreuz MP will be trying to convince Parliament to have his Private Member's Bill declared votable. Contact your MP, by e-mail, or fax or phone to tell him or her that YOU want your right to OWN Use and Enjoy your personal private property protected in law... Visit... www.parl.gc.ca to find your MP's contact information.( A lot of Canadians are totally unaware that they do not have the Right to own property. The Government ,may , at any time, even by bypassing parliament with orders in council, confiscate your personal property without compensation, in contravention of of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 17) of which Canada has signed onto, but ignores.)
Five calls to 911 couldn't stop sisters' killings
WINNIPEG - Fifteen police interventions, several restraining orders and -- on her last night alive -- five calls to police could not rescue a woman and her sister from years of abuse from her boyfriend, an inquest heard yesterday. Among the five calls placed by the women to 911, the third and fourth were particularly troubling. On the third call, received around midnight, the police operator admonished them for allowing Dunlop into the house and telling the women they were as guilty as Dunlop for breaking the court order. The  operator called the women liars and chided them for drinking. "Don't let him in. I know he took money and he's going to buy beer, so don't let him in to share the beer," the operator said. At the end of a four-minute lecture and despite the pleadings of the women, the operator did not send police. (I don't expect anyone to be charged with any offence over this, "statutes and court decisions consistently hold that the police generally have "no duty" to protect individual citizens. When it comes to personal self-defense, citizens are on their own." A Quick read of the Book Dial 911 and Die will clear up any misconception you may have regarding the police coming to your rescue.  From: Use of Guns for Justifiable Self-Defence:  A World Wide Directory of Research "In 1989, Marc Lepine carried a rifle and entered the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal and shot over twenty people - most of whom were women. Fourteen women died. He killed himself. The first emergency call to the Montreal Urban Police occurred only a few minutes after the first shot was fired. The police arrived and positioned themselves after several more minutes. BUT THE POLICE DID NOT ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR AFTER THE FIRST SHOT WAS FIRED.  By that time, Marc Lepine had already long finished his barbaric slaughter, and was himself dead. The Quebec coroner assigned to hold a provincial inquiry into this infamous event noted, among other things, that the delayed entry by the police was a significant contributing factor that so many people were shot, and that police procedures on events such as these should undergo major review and overhaul by the Police Chief, and city authorities.
The Liberals Military Spending, Only 'Slightly' More than wasted on the  C.F.C.   Read the Entire Budget here..pdf file (TheStar.com)
OTTAWA - Paul Martin offered prayers and $1.2 billion over the next five years for Canada's armed  forces."It isn't what was needed. It isn't what was promised. It isn't what it seems," said Joe Clark, the Tory leader. "Only half a billion is going to be directed to the Armed Forces as such. The rest goes into new kinds of research and other things which are commendable in themselves, but they are not normally considered to be contributions to national defence."( 1.2 Billion over 5 years!!! 240 million per year!!! And most of THAT is smoke and mirrors That will NOT replace aging equipment. At best, Thats only 73 million dollars more a year, defending the Entire Country with a dilapidated military, than the Billion they are spending to get that dangerous 'duck gun' away from law abiding farmers and hunters. And, after ALL the waste, 16 BILLION DOLLARS WORTH, Found by the Auditor General. There's NOTHING left to pay ANYTHING off the National Debt first created by the Trudeau Liberal Government. Damn good job Martin offered 'prayers'... We're bloody well going to need them until the Liberals are once again GONE.)
Gee!! How many Guns Are There?
The Liberal Sponsored survey based on year 2000, and published Jan. 25/01 estimates there are 2.46 million firearm owners in Canada. It also reveals that 140,000 owners intend  to get rid of their firearms, leaving a net active base of 2.3 million owners. (Remember, According to the Government, that only .3 million did NOT get Licences)
THE RCMP FIREARMS REGISTRAR'S ANNUAL REPORTperiod from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2000
Deactivated, Destroyed and Exported Firearms (PAGE 21)
"Reported a total of 713 firearms deactivated, 6,097 firearms destroyed and 44,067 firearms exported." (The survey Said: 140,000 owners were getting rid of their guns. Actual number of guns "gotten rid of" = 50,877 Hmmm only 36.34% of the actual survey results! Which mean the government survey has an error of 63.66%.. I'm just as sure the figures for 2001 will NOT make up the additional 90,000 firearms missing from the actual results. If you extend this same error across the survey, there are a minimum of  3.977 million firearm owners, owning a universal average of 3 firearms each, means there are  11.93 million firearms in Canada, almost 5 million MORE than the much touted liberal survey reported. Only 2 million or so licences have been issued, so it looks like the liberals have actually created 1.977 million new criminals, NOT 300,000 as they would like the media to believe.  Their estimate of the number of firearms is accurately off  by at least  5 million. After all, THEY say  "A survey of this size is accurate within plus or minus 1.25  percentage points at the 95 percent confidence level." Which means, firearms owners are pretty damn confidant within "plus or minus 1.25  percentage points" that this survey is 95% crap)
Were Winning
David Austin, spokesman for the Canadian Firearms Centre based in Miramichi, said the supplementary request was due to increased costs to the ongoing implementation of the program.  The additional costs are due in part, he added, to deliberate delay tactics used by firearms owners in their ongoing effort to discredit the program. (Ha.. The 'Spokesperson' Actually thinks we're the only reason the 'program' has been discredited.. Welcome to the C.F.C Fantasy Land...)
Antiterror fight, economic stimulus overshadow Liberals' long-term agenda
In order to make ends meet, the Finance Minister will have to eat into his financial cushion for the next two years. That means that the annual $3-billion contingency reserve set aside every year for emergencies will be
cut back significantly. It also means payments on the country's $547.4-billion debt will be minimal, and possibly non-existent. Most election promises will be given some lip service, but deadlines set during the election campaign will not be met, and the amounts of money initially pledged last year will be scaled back too.(This 'HAS' to be the end of c-68.. To force the country into a recession just to register the guns of shooters and duck hunters would have to be the pinnacle of stupidity.. But hey! they ARE Liberals...Tax/Spend Big Government/MoreGovernment..etc..etc..etc..)
Hey Western Canada!! Wanna Sell Your Freedom For $18.00? New incentives for 'some' gun owners to register
OTTAWA - Justice Minister Anne McLellan has announced incentives for owners of firearms in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Yukon to register their guns. Licensed firearm owners in those jurisdictions will soon be receiving a simplified and  personalized registration form in the mail.  The form provides gun owners with a limited time to register their weapons free of charge.  All those who have already paid a fee to register will get a refund. (Ha.. I'm sure the western gun owners are going to be lining up for 'this' Remember THANKS, BUT NO THANKS. What ever, the new budget has 'left over' for the C.F.C. they'll NEVER survive the extra costs in having to verify every single gun submitted at the end of the year. If registration is forced on us, we will force 'verification' of every single firearm we own, THEY have to obey their laws too. Particularly the restricted/prohibited/banned guns that have only green slips now. As the NFA says, the old registration system is FULL of errors and omissions ready to trap you as soon as make an variant 'error' on your registration form. Demand verification at the END of next year. $18.00 well spent..)
Hey Quebec!! Wanna Sell Your Freedom For $18.00?
In the coming days, licensed firearm owners in Quebec will receive a simplified and personalized registration
form in the mail. This personalized form provides firearm owners in the province with a limited time to register their firearms free of charge. All those who have already paid a fee to register their firearms will receive a refund. "The Government of Canada is committed to making the firearm registration process more convenient and user friendly," said Minister McLellan. (In the Liberal quest to protect criminals from your firearms, you can get 'free' firearms registration for future confiscation, or "Maybe" pay $18.00 next year, if this Liberal 'feel good' legislation hasn't self-destructed by then.. Do your part to help sink this 'yet ANOTHER' Liberal waste of your tax dollars. Read: THANKS, BUT NO THANKS)
Harris Conservatives accused of being anti-puppy
"There's a mistake in assuming that licensing equals good breeders," she said. Doug Galt, a Conservative MPP and veterinarian, likened Mr. Colle's licensing scheme to the federal Liberals' controversial gun registry. "Bill 100 ... [would] increase administrative delays, red tape and inefficiencies by forcing legitimate animal breeders to obtain a licence in an unnecessary regulation. "Comparison can be made between breeder licensing and gun registration. It's costly, it's ineffective and it would target only the law-abiding," Dr. Galt said. (Liberals, whether provincial or federal always promote targeting the'law abiding' in their ongoing quest for Big Government/More Government,  because it give people who are 'inattentive' to their actions the false belief that they are making a difference. And, as every Liberals knows, False belief is better than no belief at all.. Just keep voting them in, and next you will need a licence to have children.. Just like in China)
World's leading sailor, shot dead in attack by Amazon pirates
When the gang, wearing motorcycle helmets, made their demands, Blake reached for his gun and shot one of them, according to Brazilian police. In retaliation the robbers opened fire. Blake died from gunshot wounds. Two other members of the crew were injured. Blake was travelling with 14 crew, including his daughter Sarah Jane. Nine people were on board the Seamaster yacht when the attack happened, just after 10pm on Wednesday. (The shot he took may have saved the others, including his daughter. This is definitely an area where the posting of a guard on the deck with an automatic weapon would have deterred the criminals)
Geraldo Rivera ducks to avoid sniper fire in Afghanistan
Rivera, who quit his CNBC talk show last month to report on the war for Fox,  revealed last week that he was carrying his own gun for protection in Afghanistan, but he didn't return fire. The network showed tape of the incident Thursday. Rivera has suggested he would try to kill al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden if they ever met face to face.(They have this accurately  listed under 'Entertainment'.. If Geraldo had of encountered a 'real' sniper, he wouldn't have much to worry about now.. And I guess proclaiming that he would kill Bin Ladin if they ever met face to face sorta rules out any future interviews.. So, I guess all fox is left with is the pending documentary "When blowhards attack" or "pee themselves while running away" which ever makes the most insipid headline..)
Liberal Legacy: Canada ranks second last in military spending.
"We beat the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg"!!!
None of this disgraceful incompetence and incapacity comes as a surprise, for the Auditor-General's report follows the comprehensive review issued last month by the Council for Canadian Security; it concluded that Canada was "on the precipice between truly viable combat-capable forces and a constabulary force." It is proper to have this finding confirmed by an officer of Parliament; what a pity, though, that the Minister of Defence is still in denial. Canadians want a military that can fight. Mr. Eggleton's strategy -- pretending against all evidence that we already have one -- is irresponsible.(Disarming Canadian Citizens at home to promote the bogus Liberal "Culture of Safety", has also been applied to our 'dis'-armed forces. Liberal thinking? A Disarmed  Military, like disarmed citizens,  will result in a 'World Wide'  bogus "Culture of Safety".  Does the fact that Canada is now totally incapable of defending itself, make it citizens 'feel' safer? Does the fact that Canada's citizens are being systematically disarmed by legislation, make Canadians feel safer? Ya sure, maybe in Liberal fantasy land, but WE all live in the 'real' world. As long as criminals know that 'SOME' of the people in your neighbourhood are still 'legally' armed, your whole neighbourhood is safer. But as long as 'he' knows that 'he' will only get 6 months for a break in, and his 'victim' will get 5 years for brandishing a firearm to protect themselves and capture him, the Liberal "Culture of Safety" says 'HE' has a reason to feel pretty safe.. )
Ontario: Rapist who recorded victim's cries sentenced to 33 months
WINDSOR - A Michigan man who taped on a cassette recorder the anguished cries of a woman as he choked and sexually assaulted her was sentenced yesterday to 33 months in prison.  Lashwan Coleman, 24, of Detroit, had pleaded guilty to what Justice Saul Nosanchuk called a  "senseless, brutal and violent attack."(Had this happened on HIS side of the border, this animal would have been locked up in prison until he was killed by another inmate!. OR, his American victim would have been armed, and shot the son of a bitch.. Do you think, perhaps, had his Canadian victim been armed, and he knew it, she would even had been attacked? Not likely, Criminals are cowards, they only attack the defenceless)
Elite Canadian commandos get marching orders
A spokesperson for the Department of National Defence says elements of the unit are deploying from Canada to an undisclosed location in the Middle East.  The spokesperson says soldiers from the unit will join special forces troops from other countries involved in the U.S.-led war on terrorism.( Well!!! Finaly!! Liberal Polititions have finaly been shamed into 'really' joining the fight, and letting our best troops do what they were trained to do. We don't know where their going, but hopefully they won't have to borrow supplies and equipment like our pilots had to, just to maintain their position..)
More in US carry guns; restrictions lose support
I think a lot of people who might have been antigun no longer feel that way," Dodson says. "And if they were already thinking about buying a gun, then [the terrorist  attacks] pushed them over the edge." Tom Burdon helps his wife fill out the application. The tall, white-haired Vietnam veteran says the permit became more desirable in the wake of Sept. 11.  "There's just too much stuff going on these days, from school shootings to these airplane attacks," he says. "Pull out a gun and  stick it in their nose. I'd call that an absolute deterrent."(So would I.  In Canada, an unarmed woman facing a criminal, or madman, has two choices.  (1):Call 911 and plead for her life while waiting, (2):Die... Today IS the anniversary of the shooting at L'École Polytechnique in Montreal which 'could' have resulted in far fewer deaths had someone other than the madman been armed, and/or the police took less than the 30 minutes they waited, to enter the building )
So? Are we Rid of Them Yet?
The Canadian Coalition for Gun Control faces dissolution this year unless it finally heeds government warnings to file a backlog of annual reports. The coalition created by Wendy Cukier, has apparently neglected to file a single annual report, as required by the Canada Corporations act, since it was registered in 1992. The filings are supposed to tell where the money comes from and how it is spent. Cukier refused to explain her organizations dereliction. (I Posted this in August, If anyone knows the current status regarding the dissolution of this bogus corporation please email me or leave a message in the discussion area.. Thanks..Bill)
Liberals 'eroding' Parliament(Nat. Post)
Ms. Fraser said good management appears to be the exception rather than the rule. "Based on programs we audited -- and we audited 16 departments and agencies -- almost  every one of them had a significant problem in one aspect or another," she told reporters. In the toughly worded report, Fraser blamed the  "chronic problems" with federal grant programs squarely on the federal government, complaining that too much money is being spent without the scrutiny of elected politicians. "I am concerned about the erosion of parliamentary control over how money is raised and spent," Fraser said in her first report to Parliament since assuming office last spring. She said Parliament is too often bypassed or side-stepped as millions of taxpayer dollars are collected and spent.(Will the report make any difference? Not likely. The liberals have control, they have proven themselves to be fiscally incompetent, and they will continue on the very same course until Canada is once again nearly bankrupt. A blatant disregard for parliament, and general democracy has has put the Canadian people last, Again. This government must be held accountable for everything. They must not be allowed to act on their own, or pursue their own ideological social engineering agenda,  paid from the pockets of 'hard' working Canadians. Those that CAN'T do the job should be replaced. Including the doddling old fart at the head of the table. If there ever was a time for Canadians to be really pissed off, THIS IS IT.  They've Squandered BILLIONS.  Not simply the waste at the CFC they have been warned about for years, but on everything they seemed to have touched. ("We are concerned that serious and correctible problems remain unexamined and uncorrected," Fraser writes in her first report. ) Read the Report It's time Canadians spoke out, and screamed I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.)
Prosecutor targets criminal gun use(What a novel Idea!)
Looking at a pile of about 15 guns confiscated in a recent shooting case, Perry said the task he faced was somewhat daunting. On the table in front of him was a cache of everything from higher-value Smith and Wessons to a tiny Derringer and cheaply made Saturday night specials. Almost all had serial numbers rubbed or burned off their casings. It's scary," he said, his eyes scanning the arsenal. "And I know it is (scary) for the police officers that have to work in that environment, knowing these are out there."  Everett said the new grant is an important step to build in the county's current attempts to reduce gun crime.  "This is not a problem of good citizens carrying guns," Everett said. "This is about people who have no good in purpose in mind when they go out of the house with a gun." (Perhaps if the idiots that designed Canada's gun laws directed them at the problem [Criminals] instead of a law abiding citizens, it would have had some backing from the 'real' public. They would not have had to lie, and invent bogus statistics to cover up and explain the waste. But then again, Lying and covering up waste has been a Liberal tradition for years.)
Girl makes transplant list, but can't hold on
CALGARY - A girl who waited three years for a heart transplant finally made it near the top of  the waiting list when her heart gave out. Jenene Ruth Morin was 16 when she died Thursday at Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary. Also Read:Calling Hippocrates!(I sincerely hope that those who would band the creating of human cells, that may, in the future, allow the laboratory 'growing' of a human heart from the patients own tissue, never have to watch their child die as a direct result of their actions. Cloning cells and tissue, is NOT cloning humans. We already grow real ears, noses, and skin in the lab! Why not hearts, kidneys, spinal cords? Until then,  being buried or cremated with donatable organs might just be the absolute pinnacle of selfishness. Sign your Donor Card Today.)
Teaching kids to hunt requires parents to put their fears aside
"Is hunting safe? The records speak for themselves," said Eric Aldrich, director  of public relations for Fish and Game. New Hampshire is one of the few states with no minimum age at which children can hunt with a supervised adult. Yet there has not been a single hunting-related shooting fatality in nine years, according to the state Fish and Game Department. With 84,000 hunters in the woods each year, there have been fewer than eight hunting-related shooting injuries annually since 1994.( I received my first hunting licence 40 years ago, and I eagerly await the day I can take my Grandchildren hunting. Both of their fathers were raised in a non gun environment, and both have been to the gunclub shooting range with me. Both have fired handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Both are now hooked.)
Modern vs traditional muzzleloaders(Michigan outdoor news)
So you want to get started in muzzleloading? Load the powder, pack in a projectile, put on the primer and take aim. But which gun should you use — primitive flintlock, middle-aged percussion cap, or a modern in-line? I’ve got to admit, I’m a little confused myself. (A 'Flintlock' needs neither registration, or a Liberal licence to own)
GERALDO'S GOT A GUN
December 4, 2001 -- GERALDO Rivera, reporting for  Fox News Channel in Afghanistan, says he's packing a gun - which he will use to defend himself, if necessary, from  hostile Taliban killers. "If they're going to get us, it's going to be in a gun fight," Rivera told FNC anchor Laurie Dhue from the village of Taloqan. (Any unarmed foreigner walking around in that country would have to be an idiot)
Charity `watchdog' tied to gun lobby(Toronto Star)
Charity Watch, the Canadian  organization responsible for a rash of complaints that has left environmental and animal-rights charities reeling, is actually the work of a single Toronto agitator supported by the gun lobby, according to a six-month CBC investigation.(OH Dear...The Dreaded "Gun Lobby".. Which apparently now, is a bigger threat than bogus animal charities that bilk Canadians out of millions each year! At least the "Gun Lobby" is not standing around school yards dressed in ridiculous furry suits scaring children! And all this, mind you, from a government funded organization that's so left wing, it will eventually fly in ever decreasing circles until it vanishes up its own asshole. The Sooner the better)
Australians hours from combat
AUSTRALIAN soldiers could be in combat against Taliban fanatics  within hours. The first small group of troops from the Special Air Service Regiment arrived in southern Afghanistan on a US helicopter yesterday.  They will support up to 2000 American soldiers in Operation Swift Freedom, a United States push against the Taliban's last stronghold of Kandahar.  The Australian troops are also expected to be part of a cave-by-cave
search for fugitive terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. (I'm sure EVERY Canadian Soldier stuck on the sidelines by our chickenshit P.M will be glad to read 'this'. If this isn't a embarassing slap in the face for our military, I don't know what it...Looks like were STILL 100%  way...way...way... behind the U.S. )
Kentucky hunter, showing off enormous deer

JACKSON, Ky. (AP) - Randolph Scott Stidham was so proud of shooting an enormous deer he drove it around town in the back of his pickup to show it off to friends. They broke the bad news: He had actually bagged one of 1,300 protected elk that wildlife officials have been trying to restore to the state's Appalachian mountains. Now Stidham, 38, faces more than $8,000 in fines and up to a year in jail. "Anyone who mistakenly shoots an elk is an idiot," said Roy Grimes, deputy state fish and wildlife commissioner. "If a person cannot tell the difference between an elk and a deer, they should get rid of their firearms."(Ahhh usual sound of idiots roaming the woods on a crisp fall morning....BANG...Moooo...)
At the U.S.-Canada crossroads,  the vulnerabilities are painfully obvious
Government officials say some of the Sept. 11 hijackers crossed into the United States from Canada and, along the remote and thinly populated 547-mile border of northern Minnesota, some worry that the border is going to be made difficult for law-abiding citizens to cross,  while remaining vulnerable to terrorists and illegal entries. U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar has joked that border jumpers are more likely to be eaten by wolves than arrested in his northeastern Minnesota district. (Here's hoping the Wolves are doing a better job than the Canadian Government.. They certainly have more Teeth! )
Canada Altering Its System of Vigilance Against Terror
One of the biggest sources of friction between Canada and the United States has been Canada's treatment of refugees, who melt into Canadian society until called for a refugee hearing, at which they sometimes do not appear. In the United States, by contrast, asylum seekers are detained until their status is decided.(Apparently they are given a 'refugee kit' that contains a 'form' that they must fill out and return. Most don't bother, and simply fade into the woodwork until they are needed by their organizations for whatever purpose required at the time.. Its the Liberal "Culture of Safety for Terrorists")
National Guard troops ordered to The Canadian border
More than 400 National Guard troops will be placed at 43 border crossings between the United States and Canada and U.S. military aircraft will be brought in to patrol the border, the Justice Department announced Sunday. Also: U.S. to deploy troops to border  &  ANALYSIS: The world's longest defended border(Nat. Post),
(Not Since the War of 1812  have the actions of the Canadian Government, required the posting of U.S. troops on the Canadian/U.S. border. I certainly hope Chrétien and the Liberal "Culture of Safety" are proud of what they have done by promoting the disarmament of the Canadian people through bill C-68, while stimulating terrorist activity, and  providing a safe haven for their working environment. )
