Travel
My curiousity of the world and my desire to meet people of many interests often gives me a bit of the wanderlust and my travels have taken me to many places both near and far. Some places were new and intriguing while others have been the run of the mill. In recent years my most interesting destinations have included both Boston and Seattle in the United States and forays into Canada and Minnesota. Parts of Minnesota are incredibly beautiful, especially in the Arrowhead region of the state.
I have included a few pictures of my adventures of Seattle and Boston for you to enjoy and perhaps more will go up in the future.
Seattle

I had the opportunity to visit Seattle in January 1996 to upon invitation from relatives and friends. Despite the fact that it was January, the weather the week I was there was surprisingly quite good. The weather following my visit was rather fierce with ice, rain and snow. The city has many rolling hills and distinct neighborhoods. My exploration of the city allowed me to visit the Nordic-American Museum in the Dallard District in the city, Space Needle, Woodland Park Zoo, and various shops and markets that sprinkle the city. We even explored Bellingham, WA and Vancouver, BC. Interestingly, the hotel we stayed at in Vancouver was used a couple of years later in an episode of X-Files. The episode was filmed in the same exact room I stayed in. One of the lasting and enduring sights that I remember was the sunset I watched as the sun settled below the horizon and the lights of the city began to paint their designs on the city.
Boston

Boston is a city of history, culture and diversity. I had the opportunity to meet with friends and explore the beautiful city of Boston. Through laughter, a Nor'easter, and far too many things to see and do, I will always remember the warmth I had from the friends I have in Boston. Some of the places I explored included the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, The Boston Tea Party, A Night Tour of the city by Marilynn and Jean-Pierre, Salem, and of course shopping. Boston is a city I highly recommend for its diversity and its history. I am only sorry that the week I was there that time ran out and I did not get to see even more of the city. It is a place I defintitely plan to return to in the future.
