How to Do Written Assignments

ASSIGNMENT DUE DATES FOR TECA 1303
A sixteen hour Field Base Experience is required for this course.  Information about the Portfolio and Newsletter assignment will be given at a later date.
Unless otherwise noted, assignments are to be submitted via email. Up to 20 points may be deducted for lack of professionalism (submitting the assignment after the due date.)
NOTE ABOUT WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS: All written work should be a minimum of three paragraphs.  Each paragraph should be a minimum of three sentences to about eight sentences.  Work should be double spaced, 12 point type (font).  Use either Times, Arial, or Helvetica type styles (fonts).  You may submit your work as an attachment.  Your reading and writing level should be at the 12th grade level.  If necessary, go to the TJC Writing Lab in Jenkins Hall (J 1108), and they will assist you.

All assignments should have a concluding statement that includes a reaction/response/ or reflection of the assignment.  This should indicate critical thought about the assignment.  Remember you are expected to write at the 12th grade level.  Do not hesitate to contact the instructor for clarification.  Refer to

Each topic is worth 25% of your final grade.

Grading considerations:

Professionalism - assignment turned in on time.
Technical writing - no major grammar errors.
Process - all the elements addressed.
Quality of writing - the content presented on a 12th grade or higher level.
Format

When it becomes necessary, the instructor reserves the right to edit, omit, change, or add to the assignments with appropriate notice to students.
