English & American Crested

Abyssinian

Hair: Smooth. Single hair whorl, or rosette, on forehead.
Colors:
English : Agouti and all solid colors (including white) Crest hair same as body hair.
American crested: American crested has a white rosette. Black, red, gold, and buff.

Hair: Hair whorls/ rosette - 8 to 10.
Colors: Red, black, white, tri-color, brindle, tortoiseshell, and multicolor.

Guinea pig Names

Hair: Silky and shiny. Very Very fine and dense.
Colors: Gold, Red, Buff, Cream, and White.

Peruivians:
Hair: Long and dense.           Shiny. Rosettes all over         body.
Colors: Red-multi and            red-black.
Silky Peruivians: Same as     Peruivians but without           rosettes.
Colors: Black, red,                white, totoiseshell,                  tricolor, black-multi,              and red-multi.

Rex and Texel

Smooth-Haired Guinea Pigs

Rex:
Hair: Short,fine, and wavy or curly.
Colors: Red-white and           buff.
Texel:
Mix of: Rex and Peruvian
Hair: Short and frizzy          around head. Long and         curled in corkscrews all         over body
Colors: Red and red-             white.

Hair: Short, smooth, evenly flat against body.
Colors:
Agouti:Grizzled. Altering    altering bands of light and      dark of each single hair, the   tip always being the darkest
Gold, silver, cinnamon,          and chocolate.
Solid-colored Cavies:        Sturdy and Healthy. Black,    chocolate, red, red-eyed        orange, lilac, beige, gold        and white.
Multi-colored: Several         colors distributed in various     patterns. Markings known    as Himalayan, Dutch,            tortiseshell, white.
