Life Expectancy of your Cavy

Most cavies live between the ages of five to seven. However, this is not for certain. Your cavy may live to be eleven years old! This happens when the cavy is in perfect health. It is rare but it happens. If your pet becomes ill, it may die early. Cavies hide the fact that they are sick. Sometimes by the time you find out, it's too late. How well you take care of your pet and what and how often you feed it will determine how old your cavy will become.
