CMAS publicated a new finswimming calendar on 2004:
17-18.04.2004 - CMAS Trophy (European Championships for Clubs), France;
5-11.07.2004 - Long Distance European Championships, Kiev (Ukraine);
19-25.07.2004 - Youth European Championships, Eger (Hungary);
18-24.10.2004 - World Championships, Shangai (China).

From 21 to 23 of November in Bratislava, capital of Slovak rep. will be held final of World Cup 2003 in finswimming.

In summer-autumn of 2003 there were many important competitions where
participated Ukrainian sportsmen.
From 8 to 18 of August, was held European Championships in Liberec,
Chech rep. There were 21 countries (138 sportsmen). From Ukraine participated
10 sportsmen, two of them from team Darnitsa (Yulia Uspenska and Maxim Moroz).
Total our sportsmen got 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
The best in our team was Yulia Semenchenko, who got two gold medals with new
Europen record on 800 IS - 06:44.26.
In total on the European Championships we saw many surprises: the team from Russia were disqualified, and went home,
we saw many disqualifications of other sportsmen for wrong style etc.
I would like to note some results and more interesting distances.
Juhos Gergely from Hungary surprised on 800 FS, were he was first on finish with time 06:32.54,
Labodi Laura (Hungary), who showed will of victory, participated on many distances and won gold
medal on 400 FS - 03:28.09,
Sattarova Darija (Estonia) won 50 AP - 00:18.22 and it was first gold medal on European
Championships for Independent Estonia.
Kanyo Denes (Hungary) who won 800 IS with new world record - 06:01.49.

From 1 to 7 of September in the capital of South Korea-Seoul was held Youth World Championships.
There was only one sportsman from Ukraine - Igor Soroka, who won two gold and one silver medals.
9 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze medals got Ukrainian sportsmen on the World Championships in underwater orienteering (1 to 7 of September).
The best were Zolotov Aleksander, Vitaliy Kershkov, Yeraksimov Aleksey, Filippovich Vitaliy and also sportsman of team Darnitsa - Kaydan Yana.
From 22 to 27 of September were held Long distance World championships in Aleksandria, Egypt.
National team of Ukraine got 5 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Sportsman of team Darnitsa-Irina Poloshentseva won 6000 m.

From 9 to 17 of August in Leipzig, Chech republic will be held European Championships in finswimming.

Program of the competitions
Italian Finswimming Federation decided not to participate on the Youth World Championships in Korea because of the known situation about the riskiness of SARS virus.
Many finswimming teams in the World including "Darnitsa" likes competitions named "World Cup".
But there is a not clear position of CMAS around this competitons. Protest of the
member of CMAS Sport Finswimming Commission,
coordinator for World (European) Cup, Studenikova Helena,
in the name of all participating clubs and competitors, against the attitude of the
CMAS management to the World ( European ) Cup in Finswimming.
