PURE
Wakui Emi is a sweet and innocent
girl with a primary school mentality. Her handicap is not immediately detectable in her
outward appearance but she is not capable of understanding complicated matters (including
the ability to read properly), hence her “pure” outlook. Her cousin (Takahashi
Katsunori) is in love with her, and very protective of her. After a chance meeting with
Tsutsumi Shinichi, a reporter, she decides he's a good person and seeing that he is
damaged (with “broken wings”), she pursues a friendship with him in hopes of
helping him recover from past hurts. Tsutsumi Shinichi is a very cold and closed person,
and therefore does not care much about her at first, but gradually he is touched by the
purity of her heart...
