but then again
its a little hard to visit people in the middle of wisconsin when you only have ten dollars to your name.  but if i can con some money out of someone...

nothing is better than the real thing
as much as i would like to be wasting time in the computer lab at saint mary's or the digital graphicing lab the computer lab at msu, mankato will have to do for now.  that is until i get telephone service to my flat.  now, what's the number to papa john's?

i just may go
next monday is labour day huh?  (which translates into no classes)  i just may go to appleton.

priorities
so i'm back at uni.  oh thee excitement.  i'm also now living in my saint peter flat mondays through fridays (i'll be working weekends, therefore i'll be back in the twin cities at me mum's).  anywhoo i set up my electricity and garbage for my flat but i'm still without a telephone.  i maybe without one for a week, possibly two.  i'm waiting on my student loans/financial aid.  why is it that stuff always comes a week or two after the beginning of the semester?  you'd think they'd be a little more keen on these things.  anyway when that comes in is when i get my landline and/or mobile phone, a ps2, and then my very own third world country.  i'm thinking north or central africa, but south america isn't out of the question.

simmarians
after looking through a few people's webpages this is what i have to say/comment on...
anna marquardt - as always your frickin halarious and i found this quite amusing when i was checking out your links (click here), where do you come up with these links?
anne rassmussen - you decided to make an entry in your blogger after two months of not making any at all.  welcome back.  i hope the teaching thing works out for you, it seems like it is so far.
kate buckley - also very humourous (you never disappoint), but i've always wondered, what's with the fruit?
steve pease - after not updating your page since march you decided to continue not to do anything about it.  you should do something about that and get spiderman off of that thing, it gets me everytime....
bill brown - as spring semester came and went bill went from being a friend to becoming a fable which is sort of upsetting.  for some reason or another we just stopped talking and hanging out, maybe we just didn't have anything to say.  anyway the amasing adventures of wild bill 666 continues after him completing his film project, graduating from st mary's, and working at wimbledon (wimbledone! for us former simmarians).  last i heard bill was going to continue living in england dispite the fact that his student visa has probably ran out by now.  good luck and god bless.
greg sostaric - greggles has also graduated and has taken up some new position at progressive, but no matter how rich you get we'll never forget that laugh... keep truckin brotha
ryan roth - where in the world is ryan roth?  we need to put a gps locator on you.
erin and ruth - honestly i never really check out your pages because perhaps its something like entering a fourth dimension... it just might blow my mind.
andreas transo - last but not least, friend and good docter, andreas.  continuing in music andreas has formed a new celtic/gaelic/cockney band that goes by the name of 'pogue malone'.  you never cease to amaze me.  i'd love to come visit sometime but its just a matter of finding the time and money to do so.

why i write about simmarians so much
if i had the opportunity to i would spend the next few years of my life living with the same people i was around in the autumn of 2003.  there were so many good times and i think about it a lot.  and i'd have to say i miss the people more than the place but both were quite amazing.  just today i was thinking about walking through teddington on the high street...
tesco, woolworths, the cancer research charity shop, boots, the bus stop, the road over the railroad, waldegrave road, pizza express, mum & me, the royal oak... i miss that place so much.  first semester i was like yeah, rockin.  second semester i felt helpless because i didn't have any money, most of the americans blew goats, and my host family was starting to get to me.  also ian, you fucking cunt, had to disappear for weeks at a time and emerge with just rubbish problems nobody could really solve.  luckily andreas, aidan, and matt 'the pizza' picked up the slack for that (and mike and fiona at times), who seemed to be my only friends at times.  but no worries, ian is still the dog's bullocks in my book, i just wish he could have been around a little more.  but now i'm just rambling.  anyway if things work out accordingly i should be back in the land of eng once more this coming spring.  and if by some slim chance i can get an internship or employment there then consider my return set.  wagamama here i come.

thursday, aug 7
this just in, i suck at golf
golf scores at theodore wirth (in minneapolis),
a 9 hole - par 3 course (thru 7 holes):
An: 50 ..|.. Tim: 47 ..|.. Jeremy: 43 ..|.. KC: 37

let me remind you that par for thru 9 holes is 27.
i guess 50 isn't that bad for a first time golfer but
its not good either.

balls lost (thru 7 holes):
An: 01 ..|... KC: 02 ..|.. Jeremy: 03 ..|.. Tim: countless

needless to say we all need a little practice but i'm not
sweeting it i'm not a golfer.  i'm going to stick to baseball, bowling, and midnight parkinglot football, sports i
already suck at (along with other various sports).

to the moon
not so long ago in a conversation with an english conrade, ian hall asked me to share my thoughts on if nasa really landed on the moon in 1969.  for my answer i must refer to a commercial... "in 1969 man landed on the moon.  after discovering that it was not made out of cheese man hasn't returned since."  no but really... its hard to say.  i mean we did want to beat the soviet union to the moon but at the same time we also knew that our technology was superiour to theirs.  we could have faked it out in the desert of nevada just to ensure our victory or we could have actually done it.  either way we eventually found out that the moon wasn't made of cheese and isn't that what really matters?
