time is a killer
you know, when you not working and not going to school you'll end up with a lot of time on your hands.  to parents this means you'll have time to do all the chores around the house.  "you've got nothing to do huh, well i've got something for you to do..."  but i'm trying to find a job so hopefully i can get out of the house every once and a while and get some cash.

movies
i finally saw the matrix reloaded on wednesday, it was pretty good.  would i see it again in the theatre?  maybe but probably not.  i forgot to mention a wee bit ago that on the flight back to the states i watched the movies evelyn and the hours.  surprisingly i liked both of them but i must say that had they not have been shown on the flight chances are that i would have never watched them, but i'm glad i did.  girl: "what happens to you when you die?", virginia: "you return to the place from which you came", g: "i don't remember where i came from", v: "nor do i"... for some reason that conversation sticks out in my head.

FAQs about london/england
q:  how was it?
a:  good.
q:  did you like it?
a:  yes.
q:  why don't you have an english accent?
a:  i might have a wee little bit of an accent but once you don't hear any brits and only yanks it goes away, for me anyway.
q:  do they speak english over there?
a:  are you american or retarted?
q:  did you get to ride on a double decker bus?
a:  yes.
q:  do they hate americans over there?
a:  some people do.  some people americans say they are from canada, but i usually like not to point out that i am an american because i can see how many yanks abroad fit the stereotype.
q:  do they hate the french over there?
a:  hate is a strong word but many people don't like the french or germans because the brit were at war with both of those countries for so long in the past.  in the case of the french the brits and french were constantly at war until the battle of waterloo in 1812.  from this hatred came the expressions like 'pardon my french' and 'dirty french whore'...  the germans are mainly not like because of the whole second world war thing... still.
q:  did you have fish and chips a lot over there?
a:  i did have fish and chips but not a lot, i perferred to eat kebabs instead, doner to be exact.

you were right
well i'm pretty much jobless now, my work didn't have any hours for me for next month, well one day, that'll help not so much seeing how i'm broke.  the money i have is probably enough money for gas but where the hell am i going to go?  i've got nothing.  i need to find a job now but i just can't be bothered, i don't care anymore.  fuck it.

one man band
everytime i play guitar now its not the same.  i got too used to rocking out with andreas.  you can't play rhythm guitar without your lead guitarist/singer.  songs just seem empty without him.  this just makes me miss people, mainly those from london.  god bless you all.  this entry ends here.  or after this...

side note
thursday, june 05 is world environmental day, to find out more click

i'm sitting in the railway station with a ticket to my destination
i'm back in the states.  when i first arrived i asked myself, "what am i doing in the states?!"  but after having been here a couple of days i now ask myself... the same question.  if only everyone i care about could move to london, then the problem would be solved.  its such a good town, with good people.  but i guess there are some good people here too.  it just seems like there's nothing to do, less possibilities, and i don't like the continentality (extreem highs and lows in temperature).  hopefully i can go back for easter break next spring.  thats my first goal upon my arrival.  my second is... well i haven't thought of a second one yet but i'll let you know when i do.

cheers love/mate
thanks (again) sinead for letting me stay at your place for a couple of nights, christine for letting me keep my things at your place, fiona for letting me stay a couple of nights, ian for letting me stay a night, ian and andreas for coming to the airport with me, etc...  and aidan, that jenny frost pic is up on my wall, cheers mate.  i haven't gotten around to all my emails yet but i will for sure once i finish my essays due on friday.
movement on the page just for spite

where's the skillie?
pictured to the right is fiona hopkins' dog lassie, one of the coolest dogs i've ever met.  speaking of fiona, i had a dream that we were sitting outside of a grocery store talking about steve last night.  i also had two other dreams, one with my house sister louise latimer, and the other with krista lewis.  they were all inocent!

biodiversity: the key to saving life on earth
...To maintain our planet, our lives and our guture potential, the other species have similar requests, all of which add up to: Control yourselves.  Control your numbers.  Control your greed.  See yourselves as what you are, part of an interdependent biological community-the most intelliget part, though you don't often act that way. -Donella H. Meadows (pg.158 from Environmental Ethics: Readings in Theory and Application, 1994)

first things first
arsenal won the FA against southampton in cardiff on saturday, article.  nevermind their loss to man u.  just when i think you couldn't do anything more stupid you turn around and do this... and totally redeem yourself.  i gave a little arsenal celebration chant when the doors opened at the tube stop.

the nicest people this side of the mississippi
this weekend i went to fiona (hopkins)'s place in north london avec andreas transo et fiona.  her parents were away but i got to meet her brothers (ray and martin) and soon to be sister in-law (aideen).  they were some of the nicest people i've ever met.  they also have a dog named lassie.  yeah i know its funny at first but this dog was really pretty cool.  andreas left on sunday but i stayed until today.  all in all it was pretty good despite watching a lot of tv (some which fiona made me watch...).  but i did get to catch some good stuff such as the castaway.

past, present and future
well once again most of the americans have left london.  the last survivers that i know of are abbe, krista, dave, mike, andreas, and i.  of these people andreas will be the last to leave in late june/early july.  me, myself, i call myself, am leaving this thursday in the early afternoon.  its been a good run et j'adore london, but my time is up.  i have twenty five pounds in my pocket and am either staying in hostels or squatting out of people's places until i leave.  what worries me the most is paying for food/drink, finding a place to sleep every night, my two papers i have yet to write, spending time with friends before i leave and that little girl named samara thats been following me around, yeah, that girl from the ring, long story...  so little time, so little money, and so many things to do.  incase i forget later, thanks to fiona, sinead, christine, and bila for offering me a place to sleep.  thanks to andreas for asking people, for both of us, for a place to stay.  thanks to dr carol david for the extention on my essays.  thanks to dr richard mills, ian, aidan, matt and everyone else mentioned for being friends and piss artists.  cheers london and goodnight.

i was dressed for success
this week is, for many yanks, the last week they will be in the uk so last night i joined them all in the student union.  many many people got pissed excluding myself.  i did however have a couple of pints, something i will miss when i return to the united states, pints.  but no worries, i've nicked three pint glasses so far this semester and two from last semester which makes for a total of four guinness pints and one stella artois pint.  this means that i need one more stella glass to make an even two pints.  it must be done.  it will, it shall be done, at the cost of a pub or a night in jail.  anyway, wore a white button up shirt with a brown tie... unbeknownst to me it was pimps and hoes (disco) night in the s.u.  it was a pretty good time until i came back to the table to find my pint gone.  ah well, it was still a pretty good night.

papers gone wild: finals week
finals as in the last week of modules for the yanks at saint mary's.  i finished and handed in one of the worst papers i've ever writen today.  it was on gustav vasa and gustavus adolphus and what they accomplished.  why did so much have to happen?  bloody hell, they were good men but did far too much in the name of sweden.  anyway, i've got two more papers left.  since andreas and i are going to chill at fiona's pad in north london this weekend that gives me about four days.  at my normal rate of researching and writing papers i will be lucky if i can hand both of them in in the time i have left.

end notes
i update/revamped the mundane continental site.  i will add in missing songs when i get the chance.
i linked the
