After searching for a fine restaurant on the Island all week (and largely being disappointed) we were directed to this elegant establishment. It was the epitome of gourmet dining ! My wife and I still cannot decide whether the Barony or Boar's Head's Old Mill Room will ever be surpassed in preparation, presentation, environs or selection - or which surpasses the other for each of these categories.
I give the Barony five plus stars due to the luxurious treatment by the staff and sumptuous preparations. Most memorable were the crab bisque and prime rib seared to perfection. The fresh baked breads and salads were a welcome break from the every day variety served at many of the other places on the Island. We fondly recall the way that the matre`d pampered us throughout the meal.
The cost was high, at $40 per plate, but for the rare or special occasion, it is a nice luxury.
