Step back in time one hundred years in this converted warehouse furnished with many Victorian antiques and fabulous food. This was the first restaurant we dined at on our honeymoon and it was definitely worth it! It set the stage for a week of unforgetable meals. We give this one four stars plus for the service, preparation and ample portions have kept us coming back since 1990 (yeah were that old).

Their Steak Oscar with asparagus in bearnaise on a bed of lobster meat is my usual selection. And I have yet to be dissapointed. It has been one of the most consistant restaurants of our acquaintence, at this writing some sixteen years. The Shrimp Tempura and the Seafood with angel hair pasta with sundried tomatoes are other favorites and draw us every time we're in town, or passing by on I-64.

The romantic ambiance of the dining rooms vary from the private "office" rooms to the tables surrounding the open verandas looking to the first floor with the old 1900s Otis elevator. We always enjoy the wait in the parlor with something to drink and often availing ourselves of the hors d'oeuvres.

Prices run from about $17 to $30 per entree and the suggested choices are well worth cost and the hour and a half drive. It is part of our annual special weekend getaway. (Note the Omni and the Berkley Hotel are just across the street)
