GUN CONTROL:
The theory that a woman found dead in an alley,
raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to
a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

LIBERAL POLITICS ARE
KILLING WOMEN BY THE THOUSANDS
(Nov. 5th NFA):
Hard on the heels of the announcement
of another $72,000,000
in supplementary funding for
the Canadian Firearms Centre,
comes a story that federal minister
of health the Hon. Anne
McLellan has announced $29,000,000
in funding for breast
cancer research.
Since 1992, the federal government
has invested $86 Million
in the breast cancer initiative.
This is one million dollars more
than the original budget
that the entire firearm licencing
and registration scheme
was going to cost when announced
by (then) Minister of
Justice Alan Rock. Unlike
the firearms control program,
breast cancer research has not
enjoyed apparently unlimited
spending by this government.
The total spent on breast cancer
research is about
one-twelfth the amount this
same government has invested in
its defective firearms control
program.
Breast cancer affects 20,500
Canadian women each year. We
think that makes it a priority
issue.
Over at the federal firearm
boondoggle, spending since 1995 is at a billion dollars and climbing.
205,000 women have become victims
of breast cancer since
1992. When additional
research could save perhaps 20,500
women a year from this terrible
and deadly disease, would
you not think that the government
could try harder?
The National Firearms Association
believes that investing in
breast cancer research can save
women's lives!
Why doesn't the federal government?

if the OTHER Ten Million firearms ever show up.. you know.. the ones they
are currently ignoring to make their dismal figures look a bit better.
I know people who have been dialling that number for WEEKS/Months without
ANY success. And STILL the Feds. blithely prattle on about how "The
system is working well" Perhaps this should give people an idea of how
well this entire government is working. REMEMBER: If you DO get
through, you will be put in 'holding pattern' for 10-12-15-25-60 minutes
before you may be automatically cut off.. Just lay down your phone, for
30 minutes, and go watch T.V. You might as well be doing 'something' useful
with your time.. It's not as if they are 'ever' going to get back to you,
and the music they play 'over and over and over' can drive you around the
bend.. After 25 minutes or so, the music stops and the phone just keep
right on ringing...forever...!

Liberal
Fantasy Generates yet ANOTHER Prohibited gun Amnesty
The Minister also announced an extension to the amnesty period for
prohibited handguns until December 31st, 2003. The licensing phase of the
program has been a success(?),
with over 90% of Canada's estimated 2.3 million firearm owners in compliance.
So far, about 70% of licensed firearm owners have acted to comply with
registration. Over 200,000 registration applications have already been
submitted over the Internet. This translates into millions of firearms
that are accounted for, mostly rifles and shotguns, which were difficult
to trace under the old system. Minister Cauchon has announced a six-month
grace period for firearm owners who submit their registration application
but do not have their certificates in hand by January 1, 2003. This is
part of the government's commitment to ensure that law-abiding citizens
are not penalized. This is not an extension of the registration deadline
but rather protection from any criminal liability for those who have complied
with the law. Owners who have not applied to register by the end of December
2002 will not be protected by the grace period.(Ohhh
Look!! ANOTHER amnesty for guns that are soooo dangerous as to be prohibited..
What is this one? Number 6? 7? 8? I've lost track! WE now have another
years 'amnesty' for the dangerous 'prohibited guns' but can be sent to
jail Jan. 1st for not registering your old single shot cooey and having
it "uniquely" identified by a "Sticker"... For those of you that will NEVER
get through on the phone lines etc.. Consider yourself a criminal, 'Caught
between a Rock and a Cauchon'. Public attention is shifting to the
incredible mess the Liberals call a firearms control system, it's only
a matter of time before this farce comes to a screeching end..)
Advice,
both good and poor!
Look around your house for things to hit people over the head
with or disable their knees. In our case, my father picked up a ceramic
jug with a handle and cracked the guy over the head. We have an aversion
to guns, so there was no weapon to pull out. We were also told later that
even if one has a gun, it is likely the intruder will use it against you,
especially if there are multiple assailants. If you make a mental note
of where these heavy items are around the house—vases, fireplace implements,
statues—they could come in handy.(Oh Really! Criminals
are Cowards. You blow a hole in the first one, the others will scatter
like rats at the dump. Passing up a gun in favour of trying to hit your
assailant over the head with a vase, is a sure trip to the cemetery for
your whole family. Only a fool could think otherwise. Just stop and think
for a moment! Are the Police armed with 'Guns' , or heavy objects from
home. Think of your family first! Go buy a gun!)
U.K.
Gun victims' families call for end to killing
Damian's death was not an accident - he did not die of natural causes.
He was shot dead in cold blood. The bullet that killed Damian is still
ricocheting, still inflicting pain. It has broken a mother's heart and
ripped a family's world apart. Gunmen have taken the lives of more than
50 young black men in the capital since 1999. Behind each death there
is massive human misery - the pain of victims' mothers, families
and friends. Tomorrow (Saturday Nov 30), mothers who have lost children
to shootings will march through south London calling on the Government
for tougher measures to end gun violence. Their message is simple:
"Stop the killing."(This story is the same where
ever a gun ban has been put into effect. When something is banned, a market
ALWAYS opens up in the underground to supply a product no longer available.
The black market for guns as a status symbol among young criminals has
bloomed. London is feeling the direct result of 'creating' that market.
You ban a book, and sales skyrocket, you ban a movie, and it's 'pirate'
distribution soars, you ban guns, and you no longer have control over who
buys or distributes them and people start dying. This is called successful
gun control, and it's fuelled by fear and ignorance?)
Hunting:
Across the Years
For three hours I have been celebrating your birth in an orderly
and thorough manner. I have given your grandmother a couple of tranquilizer
pills to calm her hysterics at the good news. I have notified all
your father’s friends in town as he requested, so they can celebrate also.
I have stopped at the bank and arranged a modest trust fund which
should see you through college. I have had several drinks, and now
I am writing a letter to you to open 16 years later. I will
waste neither your time nor mine in giving you advice. If by the time you
are of age you do not know the meaning and practice of truth and
loyalty and courage and honesty, and the deep satisfaction of doing hard
work both physical and mental, then your great-grandfather did a hell of
a poor job raising me, and I did a hell of a poor job raising your father.
I am leaving you a few things. First I leave you your great-grandfather’s
weapons. He taught me how to shoot a pistol with his .38 Colt Army.
I have not fired it since the day he died. I will give it a real good cleaning,
and put the neat’s-foot oil to the holster, and leave it with the
same loads that he put in the cylinder himself the last time he dropped
the hammer. Also you will receive his .30/30 carbine and his 12-gauge Greener.
No buck ever went very far that caught one of my dad’s .30/30s behind the
foreshoulder. No goose kept flying very long that he centered with
a load of 4s. (Our liberal government is doing everything
it can to destroy rural family traditions. Their urban fear of firearms
and the city criminals that use them, are ripping the very fabric of freedom
in this country. It's time to elect a new government that does not govern
based on ignorance and irrational fears. A new government that will rebuild
our military, return our freedoms, and restore the pride of the Canadian
people. The Americans have seen the light and turfed 'their' Liberals,
it's about time we did the same!)
Seven
killed as gunmen open fire
BEIT SHEAN, Israel (AP) - Two Palestinian gunmen opened fire
Thursday
on a Likud party office crowded with voters casting ballots in a leadership
race and also attacked passengers at a nearby bus terminal in northern
Israel. Five Israelis were killed and dozens wounded. The gunmen
were killed in an ensuing firefight with police, security guards and armed
bystanders. Initial witness reports said a third gunmen fled to a
nearby building but police did not find anyone else. (Considering
the current threats received, something such as this happening in downtown
Toronto is not beyond the realm of possibility. What IS an absolute certainty
however, is the death toll would be much higher here! Police would take
15 -20 minutes to show up providing someone called 911 before they were
killed, Security personal are NOT armed, and unless there were a
few criminals in the crowd, the 'bystanders' would also be unarmed. The
result? A lot more dead and wounded. Do Liberal gun control laws aimed
at disarming only the law abiding make YOU feel safer? I didn't think so!)
Time
to ditch the gun registry(Nat.
Post)
Toronto's recent wave of street murders
-- more than 40 since the beginning of 20011 -- debunks the claim that Ottawa's
gun registry is making Canadians safer from crime. As the price tag for
this colossal bureaucratic mess nears $1-billion, it is clearly time for
the federal government to consider shutting it down and redirecting some
or all of the resources to real crime-fighting measures. At best the registry
is useless, but harmless. But to the extent that it is diverting resources
and police officers from real security matters, it is more of a threat
to Canadians' safety than no registry at all.(Useless
it is! Harmless it is NOT! There is nothing harmless about turning a million
law abiding hunters and target shooters into criminals just because the
Feds have spent a billion dollars and still can't make this farce perform!
The Money spent on this federal joke could have bought and install 300
MRI's in this country! How many lives could THAT have saved!)
Gun
registry to cost around $1-billion
OTTAWA -- Canada's firearms registry will
likely cost taxpayers more than $1-billion by 2005 -- more than 10 times
the amount the Liberal government said it would spend on the controversial
gun-control program. Treasury Board officials expressed concern about
the rising costs of the national registry for firearms at a meeting of
the Senate committee on national finance. Richard Neville, deputy comptroller
of the Treasury Board Secretariat, told the committee this week that "there
is a strong possibility that the final costs" of the firearms registry
could be around $1-billion.(ONE BILLION is
the 'Low Ball' Figure.. Here
are the 'real' costs)
Dan
McTeague blames handgun smuggling for a rash of killings.
OTTAW -- A Liberal MP is slamming the lax
enforcement of the nation's gun-smuggling laws. Pickering-Ajax-Uxbridge
MP Dan McTeague has no doubt there's a connection between the lack
of concern for the seriousness of the handgun smuggling problem and the
increasing number of young men ending up in caskets in Toronto. Fourteen
people have been shot in the city in the past two weeks, numbers that are
beginning to rival those of some American cities. (But
Hey! Wait a minute! Isn't our "Fantastic" Gun Registry supposed to protect
us all and make us safe from things like this? If you believe THAT, you
have a serious brain defect!)

Gun
registry being swamped by calls
David Austin, spokesperson with the Canadian Firearms Centre, said
groups such as the Law-abiding Unregistered Firearms Association (LUFA)
have set out to scuttle Ottawa's effort to register guns by urging people
to deliberately clog the centre's toll-free telephone lines. LUFA is openly
encouraging people to disrupt the firearms centre by calling its toll-free
number (1-800-731-4000) again and again with some basic questions (such
as, how much is the registration costing Canadians). LUFA has dubbed the
campaign "Operation Overload." "It will insure the sinking of the (Bill)
C-68 Titanic," said a recent news release. Bruce Hutton, founder of LUFA,
was pleased to hear there have been lengthy delays for people phoning the
firearms centre. "If they're (the government) bitching, it means this is
working," he said Monday. "They haven't seen anything yet. We're really
going to get the campaign rolling next month." (Perhaps
just calling 1-800-731-4000 to hear the recording that tells you they can't
take your call at this time, or the recording that tells you your wait
will be 15-20-60 minutes or more, or simply just calling to listen to the
insipid music they play is something EVERY Canadian should do whether
you have guns or not., Whether your guns are already registered or not!
Remember, its only a matter of time before the government comes to register
or confiscate some of YOUR future 'Liberally deemed' politically
incorrect private property too! Remember, it's ALL about votes and
political control!)
River
of guns flows freely south to north
In 1990, just 16 per cent of Toronto's 55 homicides involved
guns. The homicide rate has remained relatively stable since then, but
guns now account for 56 per cent of killings. Ontario's Public Safety
Minister, Robert Runciman, blames Ottawa for diverting money that could
have been used to deal with the handgun problem into the program to require
the registration of rifles and shotguns. "They've got a billion bucks to
go after the farm widow who has a shotgun in the attic, but these are the
real problems on the streets we're facing on our major cities in Canada,"
he said. In the meantime, Torontonians should learn how to dive for
cover. (When the MORONS in Ottawa stop blaming ordinary
guns, and start targeting the real problem of Smuggled guns and the criminals
that use them, maybe people will stop dying in our streets and 'law abiding'
firearms users will stop being persecuted by those politicians that are
simply afraid of guns no mater WHO has them!)
Gun
Control Myths: The Case of England
While England has not yet reached the American level of murders,
it has already surpassed the United States in rates of robbery and burglary.
Moreover, in recent years the murder rate in England has been going up
under still more severe gun control laws, while the murder rate in the
United States has been going down as more and more states have allowed
private citizens to carry concealed weapons -- and have begun locking up
more criminals. (The licensing of owners, and the
registration of ALL firearms in Canada, is showing to have no effect what
so ever in the criminal use of firearms. Hand gun murders are now 56% of
all gun murders in Toronto, and 'they' have been registered for over 60
years. If criminals are using shotguns and rifles, they are almost always
'cut down' which makes them illegal anyway. Aiming Gun control squarely
at the law abiding, and not severely increasing the at the penalties for
criminal use is absurd and only feeds the ever growing black market. People
are dying because of it! If you don't fear a law abiding person, why would
you fear a law abiding person with a firearm? It can only be a 'mental'
condition, and as with all phobias, therapy can cure you!)
Gun
law clarity a long shot
Rock had promised gun owners in Arnprior, Ontario, he'd cancel the
registry if total cost exceeded $150
million. Instead, McLellan switched to saying nearly half
a billion was a bargain -- even as Treasury Board figures suggested the
cost was now approaching $700 million. In Question Period, Tory MP Peter
MacKay said it was projected to hit $1 billion, and she replied: "Mr. Speaker,
yet again the honourable member just does not get it. Gun control is about
public safety ... ."(Safety? A 90% error rate, stickers
to 'uniquely' identify a gun fall off or are simply peeled off by the thief,
the old FAC
system had a better rate of refusal than the new billion dollar farce,
15,381 Licences issued without proof of a safety course, More smuggled
handguns in the country than ever before, handgun crime is soaring, there
are absolutely NO controls that work to stem the use of firearms by criminals,
and YOU will be a criminal on January 1st. because of cutbacks at the CFC
and the inability to handle your calls. Oh ya, this system is ALL about
safety.. But, not quite as much as it is about saving political face and
bureaucratic jobs. The government is just too embarrassed to shut it down
and your paying the price for Chrétien to keep sitting on the fence,
waiting to see which way the wind will finally blow as usual. )
And
now for 'Nothing' completely different
Is Monty Python calling the shots on Parliament Hill? How else to
explain the absurd situation where Canada cannot update its animal
cruelty laws unless an agreement can be simultaneously reached on changes
to the gun registry?(Because the ONLY way to stick
another Band-Aid on the Billion Dollar waste of this absurd registry is
to combine it with some legislation that makes 'more' city people'feel-good'.
The senate is doing exactly what it should be doing when it is presented
with bad legislation)
Welcome
to Kanada: Where you have all the freedom 'They' Allow
The federal privacy watchdog lashed out yesterday at a government
proposal that would give police and intelligence agencies unprecedented
scrutiny over our Web browsing, personal e-mail messages and wireless phone
calls. Privacy Commissioner George Radwanski, in a six-page letter addressed
to the Department of Justice, Industry Canada and the Attorney General
of Canada, said the government hasn't demonstrated in its "lawful access"
proposal why there is a need for additional powers of surveillance that
would further erode the privacy rights of Canadians. "Agents of the state
in Canada cannot order Canada Post to photocopy the address on every
envelope we send, nor can they order bookstores to keep a record of every
book we buy, let alone every page of every magazine we leave through,"
said Radwanski. "There is no reason why they should be able to exercise
such powers with regard to every e-mail someone sends or every Web site
he visits."(Now 'ordinary' Kanadians will see their
personal information distributed across government databases even if they
'don't' own a 'evil' gun.. Keep voting Liberal, pretty soon you will be
required to respond the the infamous question "Your Papers Please" at every
turn in the road. Perhaps a bar-code tattooed to your forehead would make
things much easier! Just give me the number 66'5'... I'm not 'that'

Phone
protesters disrupt gun registry
SASKATOON -- A gun group aided by a Canadian Alliance MP is attempting
to scuttle Ottawa's firearms registry, says a federal official. David
Austin, a spokesman with the Canadian Firearms Centre, said the Law-abiding
Unregistered Firearms Association has been urging people to deliberately
clog the centre's toll-free telephone lines. He said a spokesman
for Saskatchewan Alliance MP Garry Breitkreuz has advised owners to wait
until the last moment before registering their weapons. Canadians have
until the end of the year to register or face fines of up to $2,000 and
jail terms. Dennis Young denied he was trying to tie up the registry.
"We said wait as long as you can because there's a chance we can kill this
thing," Young said. "We never said you shouldn't comply with the legislation."
Breitkreuz has urged the government to declare an amnesty for gun owners
who don't have their registration done by Jan. 1. The unregistered
firearms association is open about encouraging people to disrupt the firearms
centre by repeatedly calling its toll-free number with basic questions.
The group has dubbed the campaign Operation Overload. The strategy
may be working. Saskatoon resident Warren Minish said he wanted to
change the address on his registration form. He gave up trying to do it
by phone after six calls. (Only six?... You can't
get through, and you wont, so why bother trying. This entire farce, and
absolutely HORRENDOUS waste of money, is now based solely on the liberals
saving face and preventing more embarrassment. Just the fact that you can't
drive through downtown Toronto without at least considering that
someone may be pointing a gun at you, highlights the folly of persecuting
law abiding duck hunters and target shooter as dangerous individuals..
If the Government can't put the necessary paperwork in your hands by the
date required, ITS' NOT YOUR FAULT.... IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO COMPLY WITH
THE LAW BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT SHORTCOMINGS, IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT.. And,
the 'shortcomings' are well documented)
All
I want for Christmas is a bombed-out dollhouse
It looks like Barbie went ballistic. The bombed-out dollhouse has
a busted balustrade, crumbling bricks, bullet holes pockmarking its pretty
pastel walls and, what's worse, it has been commandeered by fatigue-clad
soldiers toting assault rifles."War toys have been around forever, but
the problem here is the change in focus. Before such toys were more in
line with the ideas of self-defence," said Eric Garris, who is webmaster
of the California-based antiwar.com, which has started a campaign about
against the Forward Command Post toy. "This is not just another war
toy -- it's a total paradigm shift in the war toy industry. It's setting
up the young people for this new kind of war, where soldiers come into
your house and take it over when they need to."(Obviously
Mr Garris is of the "Keep em Ignorant - Keep em Safe" school of thought.
Perhaps someone should point it out to this "Disneyite" that the paradigm
has
shifted, and the enemy IS coming into your house and taking it over
when they want to! God forbid that children be encouraged face reality
as it is today, but instead to be brought up with a mindset that will be
utterly shattered when they discover first hand that world is NOT
based on the unrealistic ideals of the "Disneyites" ).
Fewer
than half of pilots expected to carry guns
TSA spokesman Robert Johnson says it's too early to say what the
program will look like or how many pilots will eventually qualify. But
one federal official said pilots should expect rigorous training and standards
that limit the number of pilots who participate. Upward of 30,000
pilots are anticipated to apply to carry weapons, although the security
chief for the nation's largest pilot union says he thinks it will be far
less. "This isn't for everybody," says Steven Luckey of the Air Line Pilots
Association, which joined with all of the smaller pilots unions to push
for the authority. "We're not looking for quantity here. We're looking
for quality." (The fact that 'some' pilots will be
armed will make the American skies safer for everyone. The ticket buyer
should be informed as to whether the pilot is armed or not, so that they
may make an informed decision as to whether they wish to fly with a unarmed
pilot! Canadians do not have that choice. So for other than a few flights
to the U.S. Canadian aircraft are defensless.. Enjoy your oneway trip to
the reactor site, it's going to be a 'blast')
Animal-rights
group demands Ottawa speed reform
Bill C-10 passed third reading in the House of Commons last month.
However, after weeks of debate in the Senate the bill was spilt in two
-- Bill C-10a and Bill C-10b. The later leggislation deals primarily with
proposed changes to firearms laws to streamline Ottawa's controversial
gun registry. Senators said the issues of animal cruelty and firearms needed
to be separated because of concern about how the laws could affect farmers
and ranchers. The split essentially means neither piece of legislation
will become law until sometime next year at the earliest. The IFAW
called the Senate's move "bizarre and unprecedented." "This procedural
dithering by Senators means that they should be held directly responsible
for any future acts of animal cruelty that will go virtually unpunished,"
Smith said.(It was a SICK and Terrible thing
someone had done to this kitten. BUT, I wouldn't put it past one of these
'fringe' animal rights groups to set a kitten on fire and throw it out
a a car window, JUST to put pressure passage of this legislation. Some
of these people are truly sick, and would stop at nothing to force their
agenda. PETA
being one of the worst. )
And
the "Culture of Safety Continues"
About 30 shots were fired early yesterday outside a west-end nightclub.
No one was hit, but several cars were damaged. Police are looking for one
suspect. In Brampton yesterday, a doorman at a private party was shot in
the chest and arm with a 12-gauge shotgun at about 1:30 a.m. Police said
the shots were fired from four metres away, adding they believe the
doorman may have denied entry to the person, triggering the confrontation.
The victim was in stable condition while police were looking for a suspect
driving a silver Honda. Hours later, a man in a silver-coloured vehicle
on Highway 400 opened fire on another car. "The car did take a series of
shots, but neither parties inside the vehicle were injured," Constable
Anne Goodwin of the Ontario Provincial Police said. No arrests have been
made and it was not known if the highway and Brampton attacks were
connected.(While driving into downtown Toronto to
visit a trade show this weekend, my wife spent most of the trip staring
at other cars to see if anyone was pointing a gun at us!! I must also admit,
the same thought had passed through my mind as well. She made the comment
that she would feel much safer if I had been carrying mine! THIS is what
a visitor to Toronto experiences now. This is what people think about while
driving through Toronto now! I was raised in Toronto, and I ashamed to
say I don't feel safe. It's not the same place anymore. The law says I
am not allowed to be armed for self defence unless I have a piece of paper
that the Liberals say I must have, to carry a concealed firearm, and that
the Supreme Court of Canada says may very well be "illusory" anyway. Welcome
to the Liberal "Culture of Safety" where a Billion Dollars has been spent
on a worthless gun control farce to ensure your vulnerability at the hands
of the criminal population. Just for the exercise, go to any news
search service, and type in: Honda Civic Toronto. The ONLY thing you will
get is reports on Toronto shootings and their escape vehicles 'Honda Civics'
Using 'Liberal Logic' everyone that drives or owns a Honda Civic, is probably
a murdering gun nut, and should be investigated, must apply for a special
licence to buy gas, be forced to enter personal family and private information
into a government database or have their cars confiscated. After all, it's
for the children! )
Police
battle gangs' street justice
"One could say, in an effort to eliminate public fear, that
these are not random killings, people just driving around shooting. But
the subtext in saying that is that if you're not young and black and male,
you have nothing to worry about — and that's the problem," Gartner said,
adding the problem belongs to the entire community. With gangs come guns,
and police data show that more arrests are being made each year for illegal
gun possession — a rise they say is attributed both to the growing gun
trade and increased attention to the problem. Last year, police laid 4,165
charges for possession of a firearm; in 1996, 809 charges were laid.(If
you think about it long enough, it can make you sick! The fact that the
Liberals have, while taking cops of the street to push paper, spent over
ONE BILLION DOLLARS attacking law abiding hunters and target shooters.
That amount of money 'could' have put THOUSANDS of police officers on the
street squashing punk gangs like the ones terrorizing Toronto right now.
To make a deposit at a downtown banks machine, it's not enough to be armed
anymore, but you must also have someone watching your back. This weekend
in Toronto, the news played a security tape of a woman standing in front
of a bank machine. Behind her, a man with a gun stuck in her back demanding
cash. THIS is the "Liberal Culture of Safety".. A 515% increase in
charges stemming from the use of illegal firearms in the same 6 years the
Liberals have been persecuting law abiding gun owners, is a CLEAR indication
that their gun control farce is a total waste of money, and directed entirely
at the wrong people. But Liberals seem to be too F'n stupid to understand
this!)
Chrétien
to boost cash for military
Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, after enduring months of criticism
from the military and the Opposition — and a plea from his own defence
minister — has pledged a cash infusion for Canada's beleaguered military
in the February budget. Chrétien used the backdrop of the NATO summit
in the capital of the Czech Republic to announce, for the first time, a
move he has long resisted. "There will be some increase, yes, for defence,"
he said, "but by how much, the minister of finance will tell you the night
of the budget."(Anyone want to bet that it
will be NOWHERE close to what the military actually needs to be effective.
Every hunter and target shooter in Canada knows where they can find an
extra couple of millions dollars a year! Unfortunately the BILLION they
have already wasted disarming law abiding citizens will never be recoverable,
and neither will the other billions lost in hunting and shooting revenues
right across the country. You say your kids can't play in the park without
getting covered in goose shit? Don't forget to thank a Liberal!)
Animal-rights
legislation faces delay in Senate
There is also resistance from some senators to the proposed changes
to the Firearms Act. "The bill has been encountering some pretty
stout and stiff opposition," said Ms. Cools, who calls the gun registry
"a national disaster." "These two items [animal cruelty and the firearms
registry] are not even related." "This is great news," Canadian Alliance
MP Vic Toews said of the delay. Mr. Toews opposes the proposed changes
to both the Firearms Act and animal-cruelty laws. "Our basic position
is the gun registry is flawed."Mr. Cauchon defended the registry in Question
Period yesterday after Mr. Toews said it cost $1-billion for a system that
"does not work." "It works," he said. "We started the whole program from
zero and we have built up a very good system."( The
"Just-us" minister is just as far out to lunch as his predecessors and
the 'Rock' they crawled out from under! If he refers to this
mess as a "very good system" I shudder to think that there might be some
other farce out there that he would call a 'very bad system'?)
The
agony of Chrétien's long goodbye
With each passing week, the consequences of Prime Minister Jean
Chrétien's long goodbye become more clear. It's not a pretty picture.
Take Alan Rock. It's like that scene in Mission Impossible, where Jon Voight
rips off his face and he's really Tom Cruise. Could this be the same
Alan Rock who made Big Tobacco his cause célèbre? Who forced
Prairie farmers to register their gopher guns? Who ordered a million tablets
of anthrax vaccine from the wrong company? Ah, but there's an explanation.
He isn't just the Industry Minister now. He's the Industry Minister
Who Wants To Be Prime Minister. His left-Liberal credentials are impeccable
(see reference to gopher guns). But his business credibility? Ouch. Pass
the Maalox. (God help us if he ever became P.M..
It would take 'Generations' for Canadians to crawl out from under that
Rock!
PM
calls Bush a friend, 'not moron'
"He is a friend of mine. He is not a moron at all," Chrétien
said when asked at a news conference if he approved of the remarks.
(I would have to agree! But if 'Bush' were to say: "Jean is a friend
of mine, and he is not a moron at all" He would then be a moron!)
BILL
WOULD LIMIT LIBERAL’S ABILITY TO RUN ROUGHSHOD OVER PROPERTY RIGHTS
The Liberal’s Firearms Act banned more than 500,000 legally-owned
and registered firearms and refuses to
compensate their owners for their loss
in value or when they are confiscated outright. As a Southam News
editorial said on January 10, 2002, “Those
who support this because they disapprove of guns should consider: If
you favour government authority over property that you don't like, it is
harder to fend government off when it
comes after yours." “While our party policy
calls for an amendment to include property rights in the Charter of Rights
and Freedoms, we will continue to pursue every legislative measure we can
to strengthen property rights protection in federal law. Canada is the
only modern democracy that does not include property rights in their constitution.
This bill is a first step to correct this deficiency,” concluded Breitkreuz.
(Since
all private members bills are now votable,
it will be interesting to see what form of threats and intimidation
the liberals will employ to entice their backbench voting machines,
to vote down their very own private property rights? If it looks
as if Canadian Citizens might end up actually 'having' the right to own
property, I would not put it past 'Jean the Weasel' to make this a confidence
vote. That would kick all the backbenchers away from the trough.
A Liberal not at the 'trough' would never be recognized as a True Liberal!)
Unsolicited
U.S. advice on defence irks McCallum
As a percentage of gross domestic product -- 1.1 per cent -- Canadian
defence spending ranks near the bottom of NATO countries, behind only Luxembourg
and Iceland. But in actual dollars spent, Canada ranks sixth with
an annual expenditure of $12.5-billion. Mr. Chrétien refused to
be apologetic when he was asked about the Canadian contribution to the
alliance at a news conference. "We think it's important for Canada, we
think it's important for North America, we think it's important for the
world," Mr. Cellucci said of a reinforced Canadian military. "So
I will continue to respectfully urge the leaders here in Canada . . . to
put more money into defence." But Mr. McCallum said he doesn't
need the foreign advice. (Of course not.. McCallum
was 'head boy' at his school, and by default the leader of his schools
'cadet' group.. Why he's simply 'dripping' with military know how! It couldn't
be that he was embarrassed by his own governments abandonment of the Canadian
Military, and by default the abandonment of secured sovereignty for ALL
Canadians could it? Are YOU embarrassed for your Country? Don't forget
to thank a Liberal! )
Scarborough
home invasion turns into homicide
It's a home invasion that ended as a homicide," Toronto police Inspector
Len Faul told reporters at the scene in the afternoon. "It's very sad,
another tragic waste." Last night, residents of the townhouse complex were
anxious and looking for answers. "He was a good guy; he didn't deserve
this," said a 21-year-old female resident of the complex, who didn't want
to be identified.(Rules to live by: 'Unlock - Load

Parliamentary
Security Hampered by the Firearms Farce
OTTAWA -- John O'Reilly is a Liberal member of Parliament
whose life has been threatened by a mentally ill constituent. Some days,
the man will call Mr. O'Reilly's office up to 15 times, threatening
him and his family. The man stalks Mr. O'Reilly on Parliament
Hill; they have almost come to blows. Mr. O'Reilly has become
an expert on parliamentary security. There is none, he says. There is the
House of Commons security, and a separate one for the Senate. The
RCMP guards the Prime Minister, but not when he is in the Centre Block.
Private security firms look after tour groups, and if someone tried to
call 911 from Parliament Hill, the Ottawa police would not be able to respond
because it's not their jurisdiction. "Do members realize that the plainclothes
people can carry guns and the uniformed people cannot carry guns?" Mr.
O'Reilly asked. "They [security agencies] are not in the same union. They
do not have the same radio bands. They cannot talk to each other from one
side of this House to the other side of the Hill."
(Perhaps Mr. O'Reilly should apply for one of those "illusory"
firearm carry permits. It certainly looks as if he should qualify for
one! If he is unable to protect his family from his 'nutcase' stalker,
perhaps he should thank his fellow liberals for hanging his ass out to
dry in the wind.)
Owners
under the gun (And the Farce Continues)
The
Toronto Sun
It took 34 days from mailing out my applications to getting FIN
stickers by return mail. Not bad, but although enclosed instructions were
to match the FINs to the guns mentioned on the certificates, no certificates
were included nor was there any mention of which guns the FINs belonged
too. Yet, certificate numbers differing from the FINs were listed. Why
the two numbers differ doesn't make sense. Hopefully I'll get them one
way or another before Jan. 1. Otherwise, along with hundreds of thousands
of other honest firearm owners who simply have waited too late to
register their guns, I will be considered a criminal on Jan. 1 by
the federal government. Will the long-gun registry lower crime rates, as
it's touted too? Unlikely. A handgun registry since the 1930s has done
nothing to stop the murderous riff-raff that has been terrorizing
our streets with handguns. Real criminals don't register their "pieces"
or bother with niceties such as firearms licences. Hassling hunters and
target shooters with long guns is just an expensive, feel-good, paperwork
exercise. Scrap the registry and put the money into policing our
streets and stopping the flow of illegal handguns and real criminals into
Canada.(Soon, the 'stickers' will fall off the guns,
or be removed by thieves if they are stolen. A hell of a lot of good they
are going to do! Only a idiot could think that this is of any use at all
to hinder criminals. The liberals and their bureaucrats responsible for
this farce, are living in a fantasy land, with no links to reality at all.
Just running un-hindered with a whole stack of blank cheques while people
are dying while waiting for something as simple as a MRI scan. The money
wasted so-far could have bought and installed almost 300 of these lifesaving
machines and given El-Presidenti Jean a TRUE legacy of compassion and caring.
But Noooooo.. The stupidity and waste of this entire farce is just mind
boggling)
Guns
in the U.S. and U.K.
Most of 'Guns and Violence' is a chronological survey of crime
patterns in England since the High Middle Ages. The big picture is
fairly clear: Century by century, as guns became more widely held,
violent crime declined. In the decades since the Second World War, as British
law limited private gun ownership and largely disarmed the population,
rates of violent crime have increased dramatically. A long concluding
chapter of the book sharpens the point: Over the past two decades,
as gun ownership has become more prevalent in the United States, violent
crime has steadily declined here. Meanwhile it has continued to climb in
Britain, amidst nearly total bans
on private gun ownership. (Nowhere
in the entire world, has banning and/or limiting the private ownership
of firearms resulted in a lower crime rate. Only a complete fool could
believe that disarming the public makes them safer. Disarming the public
only makes them vulnerable to criminals and governments alike. Complying
with ill conceived laws that guarantee your families defencelessness, is
foolish beyond words.)
Merely
passing new laws won't stop crime
Why the cry for more laws? To be blunt, it comes from irresponsibility.
"I don't want to defend my family and I hope this outcry is a good substitute."
If you choose to do nothing, that's your choice, but why make everyone
defenseless? When your wife is beaten and raped, you can say that
you did what you were allowed, an excuse to do nothing but dial 911.
When your daughter asks you how you will defend her if something
dreadful happens, is calling 911 it? I could not live with that answer.
I want everyone around me to know that if something happens, I will
be there and will do whatever I can to defend them--not just what's allowed.
(Shirking
ones family responsibility, and totally relying on others to save your
ass is a fools plan. Armed defence is a necessity now, more than it ever
was in the past. If you won't defend your family from those that
would harm them, then you should be just as willing to explain yourself,
and the reasons for your in-action, at the funeral service.)
"Gun
Control"... The Nonsense Just Goes On and On...
I look back in time and remember the 1950's and 1960's. I've read
some of our history from the 1930's and 1940's. During those years you
could buy a gun almost anywhere in America. You could order them
through the mail and have them shipped to your door. You could walk into
Hardware stores, Second Hand stores, Gas Stations, and variety stores and
buy firearms. The Montgomery Wards and Sears catalogs had firearms you
could order. There was no waiting period, no background check, no fingerprints
required, and no government forms to fill out - and guess what, we had
a lower crime rate, less violence, and no school shootings for the media
to plaster all over the TV screen and on the front page for weeks on end.(And
not just in the U.S.A. either! In Canada, during the 50's and 60's when
I was growing up, you could buy a gun in ANY hardware store at 14 years
of age. Violence with firearms was virtually unheard of. Everyone had guns,
and NO ONE was getting shot in the streets. Our problem today is NOT guns,
it's DRUGS and GANGS. If our hoplophobic government had spent a BILLION
DOLLARS on CRIME CONTROL instead of incriminating hunters and target
shooters we might be well on the way to solving a lot of the problem on
our 'city' streets. The government 'depends' on citizen ignorance to win
elections. As long as they keep blaming 'Objects' instead of 'Some
People' they don't have to worry about being called racist, and offending
anyone. Public Safety and Crime Control My Ass!! Losing votes. THAT'S
what it's all about!)
New
Jersey Passes Bill Requiring Nonexistent 'Smart Guns'
The Brady Campaign is demanding that other states follow New Jersey's
lead in mandating smart-gun technology, which (theoretically) would allow
only the owner of a gun to fire it. But Second Amendment supporters see
such laws as just another effort to regulate gun sales. They note that
smart-gun technology doesn't even exist yet. When and if it does exist,
it would significantly drive up the price of pistols. But Second Amendment
supporters say there's no way to make any gun completely "safe." In fact,
some wonder if smart-gun technology will backfire, making a gun inoperable
in cases where self-defense could mean the difference between life and
death. ("Smart Guns" ! The ever popular dream of
"Stupid People".. Maybe they better ban 'phaser pistols' and 'photon torpedoes'
while their at it.. One never knows!!)
GUN
SHY
We would like to bet on a sure thing. It is that not a single criminal
in our country has registered his or her gun since since the Liberal government's
Canadian Firearms Registration System was dreamed up some five years ago.
Yet, come Dec. 31, an estimated 500,000 law-abiding Canadians, who own
guns, will be deemed criminals because they haven't registered their firearms.
These are farmers, hunters, sports-gun enthusiasts and antique collectors
who are, in reality, just decent citizens fed up with Ottawa's nosey-pokey
interference in their lives. Maybe even some patriotic Canadians who put
their lives on the line during the Second World War and the Korean War
and kept a gun as a souvenir.
Cabby
killer offers no explanation as he's sentenced for weapons offences
John Walter Brennan, 35, was sentenced to three years in prison
plus the 11 months he's already spent in remand for possessing a prohibited
weapon, a sawed-off .22-calibre shotgun, (?)
and
possessing a weapon, a .303-calibre hunting rifle, while under a court-ordered
lifetime firearms prohibition. Brennan had been prohibited from possessing
any guns for the rest of his life through a court order in 1986, when he
was convicted of Morris's second-degree murder. (The
only thing that surpasses the hilarious level of firearms ignorance
found in the media, is the stupidity of the government in believing that
banning a murderer from having firearms, will prevent him from having firearms,
while at the same time, wasting a BILLION DOLLARS harassing LEGAL gun owners)
Police
search for submachine-guns
Winnipeg police believe two high-powered submachine-guns registered
to a city gun collector have fallen into the hands of local criminals.
The weapons are an Israeli-made Uzi submachine-gun and an American-made
Ingram machine pistol. Both are easily concealed and highly prized
by criminals. (The fact that 'sub-machine guns' have
been stolen from a collector, is not news enough, but the media 'always'
has to use the ever present adjective, "High Powered" to add sensationalism,
and a bit of hype to the crime. The reason I suppose, is so the public
will not confuse 'these' firearms with the much more common 'low powered
submachine guns' obviously available 'everywhere'. The investigation should
focus on 'how' the criminals found out these pieces were at that location.
My guess is leaked information from the security sieve of the Firearms
Centre. After all, as of june 6th 2002, there had never been a RCMP
Security review of the 'private' company handling this information.
Peoples lives are at stake, and the Liberals couldn't give a rats ass as
long as the paper gets pushed, and the bureaucrat's keep their pointless,
worthless, jobs at the government trough!)
TORONTO'S
THREE-PRONGED PROBLEM
The problem, as Police Chief Julian Fantino has stated, is three-pronged:
Gangs, drugs and guns. Law-abiding
citizens who think gangs are only a danger to one another are dead
wrong. Recent shootings have caught numerous innocent bystanders,
including children, in the crossfire. Increasingly common gunfire has erupted
in public places, clubs and even on highways. The solution to all this
is also three-pronged: Cops, courts and community. Criminal gangs rule
by fear - and they can no more be tolerated or appeased than terrorists
can. Sadly, Toronto is paying the price for years of lax, liberal
laws and attitudes toward crime. Police make scores of drug busts, only
to see the dealers reappear within days. Our gun laws, which theoretically
allow severe prison terms for crimes involving firearms, aren't enforced
- firearms charges are routinely plea-bargaained away in court. With such
little deterrence, guns proliferate. As today's stories show, our
cops have redoubled efforts to get guns off the streets, to break up gangs
and to encourage the co-operation of the communities gangsters and dealers
prey on. Meantime, our politicians, especially in Ottawa, persist
in their view of Canada as a safe, gun-free paradise (after all, don't
we have that great firearms registry?), turning a blind eye to cops' and
citizens' need for tougher laws. (Ahhh to sleep peacefully
in the fantasy land of the Liberal mind. No criminals, only unfortunates
in need of rehabilitation. And naturally, if guns are banned, no one would
would have guns, even the criminals would turn them in. After all, they
ARE banned aren't they! Canada would be the 'peace keepers of the world,
dancing though the streets of troubled nations passing out flowers and
tiny maple leaf pins. But then you wakeup!!! Where the hell are we, and
what are we doing in this handbasket?)
Getting
gun registered is a long shot
"I phoned the 1-800 number -- 14 times -- until I got through and
waited about 10 minutes ... I greeted Denise ... We went around (in a)
circle several times ... I said it was obvious she didn't know what a muzzleloader
was and she hadn't answered my question. ... After a short tirade about
how well she knew her job and that she did too know what a muzzleloader
was, she hung up ... "I then thought I would call the chief
provincial firearms officer and get an answer. Wrong! The Web site gives
only the federal 1-800 number for all provinces." His is one of literally
hundreds -- thousands, perhaps -- of examples of how the federal government
was ill-prepared to implement this billion-dollar fiasco. When all is said
and done, this will probably top the list of blunders in the sequel to
Randy Richmond and Tom Villemaire's new book, Colossal Canadian Failures.
(Gee!!
He got though in ONLY ten minutes!! Just about everyone at the CFC is going
to be out of work on December 31st, and no doubt moral is soaring..NOT....
The 'Private' company (and unknown threat to your 'personal' information)
takes over on Jan. 9th. There has been no word yet as to any RCMP security
check on any new employees.. Although, I'll bet any 'Hells Angel' would
love to have his wife or girlfriend 'on the inside')
Gun
Control! Liberal Litany of Lies and Deceptions
The sky was the limit, promise-wise, when the Liberals were trying
to sell their gun control scheme in 1994 and 1995. No purported benefit
was already too big that it couldn't be inflated even more. No ludicrously
unlikely side effect was too outrageous to be promoted as a sure thing.
Gun control was a Liberal shibboleth and the need to pass it made any tall
tale justifiable. (Not unlike the government's current "full-court press"
on Kyoto.) As to fabricating crime statistics to bolster its case for a
registry, the government -- also famously --claimed the RCMP
had investigated more than 620 violent crimes committed with firearms
in 1993, a sure sign, it claimed, of an emerging gun culture in Canada.
When it was pointed out -- by the Acting Commissioner of the RCMP, no less
-- that the Mounties had, in fact, investiggated just 73 violent gun crimes
that year, the government plowed ahead anyway. No sense permitting such
a noble cause to be derailed by the mere fact that its extreme intrusiveness
was revealed by the facts to be totally unnecessary. In the Liberal world,
symbolism always triumphs over substance, whether it's symbolic gun controls
or symbolic emissions targets. (As they say, Figures
don't lie, but Liars can figure!)
4,000
women's shelters could have been built with firearm registry funds
FEDS SQUANDERING MONEY: Hutton, who lost his wife to cancer, is
irate Ottawa invests millions more on its
misguided gun-control measures than it does on cancer research
and other vital issues. "It's a travesty really," he said. "If it's
working, why is spousal homicide up for the first time in years? The government
could have built 4,000 womens' shelters across the country with money
they've spent (on gun control.)" And
BEHOLD The big Lie: The Canadian
Firearms Centre said the new law is working to reduce crime, safeguard
citizens from shooting deaths and helping law enforcement keep track of
arms movement -- and urging gun owners to register before the deadline.
(Statistics
Canada, and 'Liberal' Senator Anne Cools, has
PROVEN that C-68 was founded on lies, and Garry
Breitkreuz, continuously digging up new
information, has shown gun crimes and shootings have INCREASED since the
liberals started this Billion Dollar Farce that was presented to parliament
in a package of lies and falsified/ reworked statistics.. This entire program
was based on lies and deceit right from the start and is now 12 times what
they said it would cost. A TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE WASTE. )
Idiot
Terrorist Brings a Knife to a GUN Fight!
Security guards on Israel's national airline El Al overpowered a
suspected hijacker who tried to storm the cockpit of a Tel Aviv to Istanbul
flight yesterday, apparently armed with a penknife, officials said. El
Al is widely regarded as world's most protected airline, but also one of
the most threatened. El Al's formidable security includes armed guards
at check-in, on-board marshals and extensive searches of luggage. Passengers
are told to arrive three hours ahead of flights to allow enough time for
security checks. The first and last successful hijacking of an El Al plane
was in 1968, when a flight from Rome was seized by members of the extremist
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and forced to land in Algiers.
Passengers and crew were held hostage there, with the last of them released
five months later. (If a terrorist can get a knife
on board a El Al flight, how safe do you think you are on board
a 'unarmed' Canadian Flight.. YOUR plane will be shot down into a highly
populated area on it way to the closest Nuclear Reactor. The liberals feel
that having a firearm in the hands of a 'possibly unstable' Captain of
a airliner, responsible for thousands of lives both in the air and
on the ground anyway, only increases the level of violence on board the
aircraft. This makes a lot of sense out of the statement: "If you want
to put a 'twinkle' in the eye of a Liberal Hoplophobe, simply shine a flashlight
in his ear"!)
When
it comes to Osama, Canada doesn't get it
Jean Chrétien told an interviewer that Western arrogance
helped to bring on the terrorist attacks. If only we stopped abusing
the poor, he suggested, such attacks might abate. Contrast that position
to Tony Blair's; the British Prime Minister made it plain from the start
that his country would be in the front lines against terror -- not just
because of its friendship with the United States, but because Britons themselves
were at risk. Only this week, Mr. Blair warned that al-Qaeda had regrouped
and might attack British targets at any time. Victory in the war on terrorism,
he said, "will not be without pain or come without a price. . . . As with
all wars, it will test not just our ability to fight, but our character,
our resilience and our belief in our own way of life." Try to imagine Mr.
Chrétien saying something like that. The war against
terrorism is everybody's war. Britain gets it. So does Australia. When
will Canada?(Liberal politicians are NEVER military
men. Trudeau did not serve in World WarII. He was among the young French-Canadian
intellectuals of the day who had doubts about Canada's involvement in a
distant conflict. {Read: Coward} As
Mordecai Richler recalled in Saturday Night magazine, Trudeau, around 1943,
was seen riding his motorcycle, wearing a German army helmet, through the
back roads of the Laurentians. This is the same politician that started
the dismantling the Canadian Armed Forces, and plunging military moral
to the lowest point in Canadian history. This 'Liberal Icon' has done more
damage to Canadian Sovereignty and pride than any single individual in
Canadian history!)

FBI Bulletin Warns of 'spectacular' Attack
WASHINGTON (AP) - Al-Qaida may be planning a "spectacular" terrorist
attack intended to damage the U.S. economy and inflict large-scale casualties,
the FBI warns. An FBI law enforcement bulletin circulated Thursday to law
enforcement officials nationwide contains no information about the timing,
location or method of a possible attack. Even so, the warning is unusual
because of its dire language. "Sources suggest al-Qaida may favor spectacular
attacks that meet several criteria: High symbolic value, mass casualties,
severe damage to the U.S. economy and maximum psychological trauma," says
the alert, which was posted on the FBI's Web site early Friday after its
existence was reported by The New York Times and The Associated Press.(A
hit on the Nuke plant at Pickering would send a cloud over most of N.Y.
State!)
'Armed
presence' at nuclear plants
OTTAWA - Canada's nuclear power plants are now under armed guard
against terrorist attack, Herb Dhaliwal, the minister of Natural Resources,
revealed yesterday. Mr. Dhaliwal said the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
is working closely with the RCMP and other police forces to ensure these
potential targets are well guarded. The internal notes show federal
officials have examined three
options for a permanent armed presence:
- Make security guards, who aren't usually permitted to carry guns, "public
agents" under the Criminal Code, with the Nuclear Safety Commission
responsible for their actions.
- Treat nuclear facilities as "firearms bussinesses" -- a plan that would
entail
issuing licences to each plant and individual authorizations to each security
guard. (they are now 'allowing' employees
to be armed? It's about time!)
- An entirely new scheme, which could invollve a "nuclear police" force
or several existing agencies.(As much as the
enemy would like to blow a nuke plant, I would be more wary of being on
a crowded subway platform in downtown Toronto! Hundreds of people, and
90% of the faces you see are from the middle east. I'm sure not all
of them are peace loving muslims.. Particularly the ones with the bombs
strapped around them!)
Sask.
native federation vice-chief says no to federal gun registration laws
David Austin of the Canadian Firearms Centre said that the federal
government has every intention of defending the registry against the federation's
challenge. With about 50 days left before the deadline, about 70 per cent
(the
governments 'low ball' estimate) of guns have been registered
in Canada, he said, and the centre has no reason to believe that non-compliance
among aboriginal people will be a problem. "The problem is that, on the
registration, we have no way of distinguishing between an aboriginal and
a non-aboriginal," Austin said. "Looking across the country we have no
reason to see that they are not part of the norm." Saskatchewan Justice
Minister Chris Axworthy spoke out in favour of the federation's challenge.
"We hope the FSIN challenge will be more successful and gun owners across
the province support FSIN in undermining, as best they can, the firearms
legislation," Axworthy said. The Canadian Alliance has been the most vocal
critic of the gun laws, calling the registry a wasteful bureaucracy that
does nothing to protect Canadians. A number of gun groups have balked at
the laws as well. Their protests have ranged from the sensational to the
frightening. In Manitoba, one man successfully registered his soldering
gun in the database to point out what he called ignorance in the system,
while in Edmonton, a campaign was started to mail old phone books to Ottawa
in hopes the feds would have to pay for the postage. In June, the firearms
processing centre in New Brunswick had to be shut down for almost a week
when someone mailed two packages of white powder to the building. Local
police have said the packages came from Alberta.
(A
Registration 'Certificate(ha)' is largely famous for what it 'doesn't'
contain.. Not only can you not tell if the holder is an aboriginal, it
does not even 'identify' the owner of the firearm. Almost 60% of
them do not even contain the barrel length. and most others have blank
spaces with missing information. These things are a joke. What happens
if the 'sticker' that "uniquely identifies firearm without a serial number"
falls off [and it will], will the owner be arrested and thrown in jail
for defective stickers supplied by the government? Look at your firearm
serial numbers! Are those 6's or G's, are they "1"'s or "I"s, 5's
or "S's, Is the barrel length 671 or 672 mm, is your tape measure accurate?
Who knows? The law says all firearms must be verified, and the government
is not abiding by their own laws.. You are NOT qualified to 'verify' your
own firearm and because of this, you will probably make mistakes.. It's
safer just to enter "unknown" into any area you feel uncomfortable with..
Remember, they have 1.5 months to register millions firearms, and by their
record, accuracy does not seem to matter one bit!)
And
the "Culture of Safety" Continues
The latest shooting occurred shortly before midnight Tuesday when
the victim and a friend were having a cigarette and drinking alcohol in
the north parking lot outside the Brahms Rd. apartment building, in the
Finch Ave.-Don Mills Rd. area. Police said a car pulled into the
parking lot behind the 14-storey building. The victim recognized the driver
and went over to talk with the man. The victim's friend said the conversation
became heated, but he couldn't hear what they were talking about. Seconds
later, the driver reached down between the front seats and pulled out a
handgun and fired at the victim, who was standing beside the driver's door.
Police said the victim and his friend ran to the north door of the apartment
building as the driver continued firing shots.(And,
not a 'Duck Hunter is sight'.. Looks like the Feds Gun Control Farce is
working!)
Police
step up anti-gun project
"The word on the street during Operation Gun Stop was that it wasn't
safe for people to walk around with their guns," said Gauthier, who oversees
both the gun and gang task forces. "As the project ends, sometimes the
comfort level increases with people and they're back at it."(This
certainly highlights the fact that targeting the punishment at the criminal
instead of the legal gun owner works!! Why can't the Feds see this? Maybe
they just don't want to!)
U.S.
lists 22 targets in Canada
John Manley, the Deputy Prime Minister, read a statement condemning
the "global scourge" of terrorism. But he said while the government
was taking the threat seriously he did not believe Canadians need to take
special precautions. "There is no indication that there is anything imminent
that we need to put Canadians on a greater level of security vigilance,"
he said in Lethbridge, Alta. "The information that we received, which we
received with the rest of the planet, is of a general nature. Our security
forces continue to use the usual sources of intelligence to try to determine
if there are any particular measures that need be taken." Experts pointed
out, however, that bin Laden has historically followed through on
his threats. The broadcast of his denunciation of
Canada on Al-Jazeera, which is watched by millions of Muslims, would be
interpreted by his followers that Canadians are now legitimate targets.(It
could also be a signal to millions of Muslim Extremists to go find targets)
Mr. Chrétien's silence was condemned by Stephen Harper, the Canadian
Alliance leader, who said the Prime Minister should have been "standing
on guard, not standing on the golf course. "It wouldn't be an issue if
this were an isolated thing, but it is a general pattern of him just not
seeming to take this whole security file and threat seriously. I think
he should respond."(I doubt very much if Chrétien
himself would be a target, after all, terrorists are supposed to do things
that would actually 'harm' the country! But I can envision a suicide bomber
on a Toronto subway train, knowing that he cannot be stopped even if seen,
because our government has assured him that ordinary citizens are unarmed
and of no danger to him at all. We are the first generation of Canadians
to be threatened with death, well inside our borders, and the 'government'
has taken the stance of "Don't Worry - Be Happy" you are not in danger.
And, WE ALL KNOW how accurate government predictions are.. Armed
citizens have saved hundreds of lives in Israel,
DON'T BE A VICTIM OF LIBERAL GOVERNMENT APATHY!
BE PREPARED!

YOUR LIFE HAS BEEN THREATENED, YOU HAVE THE
RIGHT
TO DEFEND YOURSELF!
ACT APPROPRIATELY!)
Chretien
accused of delivering post office plum
ean Chrétien has ensured Canada Post president André
Ouellet, one of the more prominent Liberals from Quebec of the last quarter-century,
will keep his powerful and lucrative post as head of the postal service
until well after the Prime Minister retires in 2004.Cabinet last week
approved a four-year extension to Mr. Ouellet's term, along with a modest
salary increase to take his income up to a maximum of $354,000
annually once the routine 20% public service performance bonus is taken
into account. John Williams, a Canadian Alliance MP, denounced the reappointment
as "cronyism at its worst" and predicted it is just the beginning of an
avalanche of patronage plums Mr. Chrétien will hand out before his
self-imposed retirement deadline of February, 2004. "The bad news is we're
going to see an awful lot more of it in the next year or so," Mr. Williams
said. "He [Chrétien] is taking care of friends, not taking care
of business." (The Chrétien Legacy will be
the same as the Trudeau 'Legacy'.. A tax bill extending well into
the lifetime of your grandchildren. )
Anti-gun
movie under fire for bullets-buying scene
In the movie, in which American filmmaker Michael Moore examines
the United States' obsession with guns, he walks into what he says is an
Ontario Wal-Mart store and buys ammunition. The clerk hands it over
without question. But under Canadian law, anyone buying ammunition
must show identification, said David Austin, a spokesman for the firearms
centre, a division of the federal Department of Justice. Austin wants
to know whether Moore was asked who he was when he bought the bullets or
if that part was edited out of the movie. He said the scene misrepresents
the process of buying ammunition in Canada. What is unfortunate is there
is misinformation out there -- not only for viewers who see the movie in
Canada but the rest of the world -- that it is relatively easy to buy ammunition
in Canada and that is not the case." (Well, I'm sure
while peering through through David Austin's Rose Coloured Bureaucratic
Glasses, every thing looks just peachy! But, if he ever pulled them off
and had a look at the REAL world he would find things are quite different
indeed! For one, he would find that ONLY legal gun owners, and other
law abiding people have trouble buying ammunition. The rest! Well, if they
can't find ammunition for the smuggled or stolen handgun they carry, their
probably too stupid to keep breathing , and they won't last long on the
street anyway! )
Saskatchewan
natives continue challenge to gun law
SASKATOON - A vice-chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians
says he will not register his guns. The federation is challenging
the federal government's gun control law, arguing that it infringes on
treaty rights. Bill C-68 requires all firearms to be registered by
Jan. 1. Greg Ahenakew says he is confident the federation will win
its case. But, Ahenakew says he cannot counsel other natives to break
the law. He does say, however, that the federation will give legal
support to natives in the province who choose not to register their guns.
(It
would look as if the White Man gave guns to the Indians for all the right
reasons.. Including protecting us from our own governments idiotic laws..)
PETA
Sinks to a All Time NEW Low!
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) says the full-page
ad is a legitimate campaign, but the families of the murdered women say
it's disgusting. The Vancouver Province was to have run the ad Wednesday,
but decided to pull it. The ad featured a series of headlines
describing the B.C. murder victims, who were drugged and slaughtered,
their heads sawed off and their body parts refrigerated. It doesn't
refer specifically to accused killer Robert Pickton, but the allusions
to the case are clear, referring to unconfirmed reports of body parts being
found on Pickton's pig farm. PETA says the comparison is justified.
(This
should convince even the most idiotic that this 'fringe' organization is
comprised of morons and mental defectives. Before, they were just accosting
and intimidating children outside of schools, but THIS really shines
a light on the level of mentality that makes up this bunch of losers..
PETA 'really' stands for 'Pathetic Eclectics and Total Assholes' )
NASA
and Pentagon Computers HACKED!
Gary McKinnon, 36, of London was indicted in federal courts in Virginia
and New Jersey on Tuesday on eight counts of computer-related crimes.
These included break-ins over 12 months at 92 separate U.S. military and
National Aeronautics and Space Administration networks across 14 states,
including two at the Pentagon. Mr. McKinnon also was accused of hacking
the networks of six private companies and organizations.(Is
the Canadian Firearms Centre Computers MORE secure than NASA or the Pentagon?
I doubt it.. Your personal information is out there folks.. Don't forget
to thank a Liberal!)
Text
of the tape broadcast on al-Jazeera
"Why did your governments ally themselves with America to attack
us in Afghanistan, and I cite in particular Great Britain, France, Italy,
Canada, Germany and Australia. "Australia was warned about its participation
in Afghanistan and its ignoble contribution to the separation of East Timor.
But it ignored this warning until it was awakened by the echoes of
explosions in Bali. Its government subsequently pretended, falsely, that
its citizens were not targeted.(Unfortunately, it
will take a terrorist attack on Canadian soil before our government will
move to re-arm this country. And, when that happens, the re-arming will
be a 'political decision' based not on saving Canadian Lives, but based,
designed, and implemented entirely on the hope of getting re-elected, and
nothing more. Trudeau and Chrétien both promoted the pacifist, socialist,
agenda that has driven our country into utter defencelessness, and I doubt
Martin will be any improvement at all. With our borders so pourious, and
our military looking like "The Antique Road Show", we might be about to
suffer the consequences of electoral stupidity)
World
Trade Center attacks costs could top $36B
NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. government experts say the financial toll of
the terrorist attacks on New York City amounts to $33 billion to $36 billion
in lost wages and business, property damage and cleanup. The losses, estimated
from October 2001 through June, include $7.8 billion the 2,795 people
killed at the World Trade Center would have earned and $21.6 billion to
clean up and replace the twin towers.(To put this
in another perspective: This is almost exactly the same amount of debt,
mismanagement by Ontario Hydro has burdened Ontario taxpayers with.. The
only bright spot is that because of Federal liberal financial planning(?)
We are paying it off in sixty four cent Canadian Dollars)
There
used to be Canada: a perspective
In the year 2002, the Americans were armed and ready to attack Iraq.
Canada said it would be glad to tag along, but it couldn't offer much in
the way of guns and bullets and soldiers – perhaps nothing at all if the
Senate prevailed and all Canadian soldiers were brought home to serve as
snow-shovellers for Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman. The sad truth was
even if Canada managed to send a ship into action there would be no Sea
King helicopters aboard because they required 38 hours of maintenance for
every hour in the air. Sailors often amused themselves by taking bets to
see if they could hold their breath longer than a Sea King could stay up.(If
Canada was a Tom Clancy Book made into a movie, everyone would be booing
the Liberals for allowing us to become so defenceless in a hostile world,
that we have literally turned ourselves over to the Americans pleading
for sanctuary. Liberal pacifistic policies have converted this once strong
country into the unarmed little wimp hiding behind the big guy, sticking
our tongues out at the enemy hoping we won't get sucker punched! It's enough
to make any veteran puke!)
Gun
bill could turn law abiders into criminals: Axworthy
Axworthy says he doesn't think the federal government's computer
system will be able to handle all the last minute registration requests.
He says that means even though people may have registered their guns, it
may not show up in the computer. Axworthy maintains Saskatchewan
won't enforce the new federal law. He says provincial conservation
officers will not be checking for gun registration in the new year.
Axworthy says the legislation does nothing to cut down on the use of guns
by criminals. (The registration 'certificates'(ha)
are so simple, what's to stop some people from simple printing a few up,
filling in the blanks, and laminating them.. Unless you have committed
a crime, it's highly unlikely that anyone is going to 'run' the damn thing.
There are no security features at all! In provinces where conservation
officers 'are' checking at game stops, they won't be running any thing
unless the owner is charged with an offence. The police or conservation
officer has no idea if the certificate presented is valid or not unless
they waste a HUGE amount of time back checking. Particularly if the firearm
has been borrowed, and the user is unaware they are in possession of a
phoney registration 'certificate'(ha). Like everything else in this firearms
farce, the emphasis has been on pushing paper, and saving bureaucrat's
jobs. It has NOTHING to do with safety or tracking firearms. If it did,
you wouldn't have the absolute chaos happening at the firearms farce now,
and there would be 'some' sort of security features on your registration
'certificates'(ha)!)
Toronto
Seeks Stricter Gun Laws in Wake of Violence
Officials in Toronto, Canada, are considering stricter gun laws
following a recent wave of shootings, the Canadian
Press reported Nov. 5. "It's important
that we get after the people with the guns," said Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman.
"We've got to get the guns off the street. We can't have kids killing kids.
And look, other people get in between too, people who aren't part of these
gangs." Toronto, the largest city in Canada, has seen six violent shootings
in recent weeks. Two were drive-by shootings, three took place in separate
nightclubs, and one occurred in the streets of the city's entertainment
district. Lastman is calling for more severe penalties for crimes involving
firearms. (Ahhh the simple minded are always in control!!
MORE LAWS ARE NEEDED.. WHY? It's simple, the criminals won't obey the old
ones so lets ad a bunch of new ones, and mabe they'll obey those? Hey Mel..!
We already HAVE more severe penelties! The problem is , the courts are
still alowing the criminals to bargan away the gun charges FIRST! WHO the
hell are your advisors? Obviously "NooooooBody"!)
Gun-control
logic fails
It takes little journalistic sweat to reel off another tired litany
of sound bites that smear lawful gun owners as simple-minded obstructionists
to whatever the anti-gun proposal du jour happens to be. Why, despite their
investigative resources, do media types rarely trouble themselves to evaluate
firearm policy beyond, "Hey, that sounds good to me"? Maybe because they'd
find that "gun-control" proposals always collapse under the gentlest burden
of common sense.(The logic of most Canadian newspapers,
and 'Gun Control' groups is not any better.. The Coalition for gun
control, is 'still' trying to convince the ignorant that the most common
guns left at crime scenes are rifles and shotguns when statistics Canada
CLEARLY has pointed out that handguns now comprise 64% of homicides, and
75% of those guns are not even registered in the 68 year old handgun registry.
The problem is ILLEGAL GUNS you would 'think' that even an academic from
Ryerson would be able to grasp that simple fact.. But Nooooooo..
They certainly don't want to be confused with any 'real' facts!)
Afghan
war reports reveal army troubles
Intelligence officers, medical personnel and trades people, all
in short supply in Canada's cash-strapped military, are so busy with their
specialist duties that basic skills suffer, one report suggested.
For example, all specialists sent to Canadian Forces Base Edmonton to train
before leaving for Afghanistan to bolster the mission had "a shocking degree
of ignorance ... with regard to weapon training." (Is
it any wonder! Years of pacifist brainwashing has created a generation
that is convinced 'guns are bad', People don't kill, 'Guns Do', Guns are
evil, If you 'touch' one it might go off and shoot you!, A criminal will
take it away from you and use it against you, The police are there to protect
YOU.. Remember: A GUN killed Bambi's Mom.. Unlike all previous generations,
many of these soldiers were raised by families that had NO outdoors or
hunting experience at all. The proliferation of guns on the street
is largely a direct result of firearms ignorance. In the 50's 60's, even
the toughest young hoods in the city did not carry a gun, somehow that
would make them less of a man, even though they were available everywhere.
Hell, when I was a kid, even 'puffed wheat' was shot from guns!.. How do
you insure guns are flooding the cities? Simple you Ban them, make legal
ownership difficult, and make them a status symbol among the less intelligent,
less educated gang members. Just like the Government is doing right now!)

NFA Newswire
My concerns began when a friend showed me the new serial number
stickers he received for his old shotgun and .22 which had no numbers.
The stickers didn't even survive the mail process. Each digit on both ends
of the number was rubbed off, making them useless. Years ago the firearm
community asked how the stickers would
stick to oiled, metal surfaces. They also asked whether the government
really believed criminals were so stupid they would leave a sticky number
on as the only source of identification. (Periodically,
I will post the NFAnews wire bulletins for those that do not subscribe
themselves.. Please help spread the news!)
Lib.
Politics Fuelled Canada's Only Secret Wartime Military Execution
Clark’s research shows that Pte. Pringle’s execution might have
had more to do with politics than murder or desertion. He says Prime Minister
Mackenzie King’s government and military leadership faced pressure from
the British to execute the Canadian after his trial. The two British co-accused
had been dealt with this way. According to Clark, King agreed to
the execution only if it took place after the general election in June
of 1945 that saw King returned to power. No one, it seems, thought
it a wise idea to execute a Canadian soldier after the war and while an
election campaign was under way. So the book says King agreed
to a plan that would see the death sentence carried out in a remote area
of Italy in absolute secrecy, after Canadians went to the polls and re-elected
King. All involved would be prohibited from talking about it, and all
records would be sealed. Though the military campaign was over, 30
Canadian soldiers were deliberately left in Italy to execute Pte. Pringle
when the time was right. (Liberal wartime Politics,
another 'continuing' Canadian Shame!.. After all, Liberals 'themselves'
don't go to war.. )
The
Warped Mind of a Sniper
Among the items, Singh says, were a shiny 8-inch pistol silencer,
a blueprint for a rifle silencer and a 20-inch axle rod that Muhammad said
could be bored and converted into a rifle silencer. Muhammad
asked Singh if he knew anyone in the Sikh community in Canada who could
do the job. Singh said he didn't, and besides, why did Muhammad need a
silencer? Singh says Muhammad replied that he wanted to shoot a tanker
truck on the highway and make it explode, or shoot a police officer and
then, as officers gathered for the memorial service, set off a bomb, killing
as many officers as possible. (The prosecution would
argue that this was just a 'downtrodden' individual that simply 'snapped'
as we all could do under the same type of pressure. And, if all that's
needed are more gun laws to protect us from poor unfortunate people
such as this.. Only hoplophobes, Liberal apologists, and gun control freaks
could believe crap like this and ignore the fact this wacko, like all the
other wackos, has been a criminal for years!)
Heavy
D is dead and nobody is talking
(Pardon me if I don't shed a tear)
Heavy D, whose baby face and faint mustache belied his propensity
for violence, was spotted crouched behind a car in the parking lot of the
little mall on Danforth Road around 12:50 p.m. last Saturday. "He pulled
out a handgun and fired at least one shot" at a trio of young men who had
just arrived and were standing beside their car. One of this threesome
-- described by witnesses as a black man inn his very early 20s with a medium
complexion -- then pulled out his handgun and, Staff-Insp. Clarke said,
"in the ensuing gun battle, a total of about 20 shots were fired."
(As the Liberals keep saying "The Firearms Act is Making a Difference".
I have to agree! There were NEVER this many guns, or gun deaths
on the street before the Feds spent a BILLION DOLLARS protecting everyone
from duck hunters and target shooters. While at the same time, seeing that
'criminals' get off with the lightest sentence possible. If it were not
for "Gun Laws" and the resulting charges, criminals would have no bargaining
power at all!)

A
Soldier Died Today
And
the "Culture of Safety" Continues
Toronto's month of gun-crime continued this weekend with three
separate shootings, including a gang-style slaying at a shopping
plaza in broad daylight. While police were probing Saturday's killing of
a man known as Heavy D, another victim was shot last night in the parking
lot of a plaza on Steeles Avenue East and Fenton Road. A third man was
shot Saturday during a mugging.(Spending $1,053,260,000
Controlling the guns of Duck Hunters and Target Shooters is certainly making
a difference on the streets of Toronto.. The Liberals feel the police would
have only wasted that money anyway.. Feel Safer? I didn't think so! Going
to a ATM? it 'might' be wise to 'carry' After all, you are a licensed owner
with a registered handgun and a A.T.C., like a T.A.C. will be deemed as
"illusory" by the Supreme Court of Canada.. You can bet your ass that crown
attorneys are not going to let one of 'these' cases get to court
or the whole law will come tumbling down
and it just might save your life.)
Veterans
plan protest
As a protest, the vets plan to go to the national Remembrance Day
ceremony Monday in the capital to lay a wreath on their own. "I feel cheated,"
Louis Lamarre told CBC-TV's The National. "I feel betrayed by my government,
because they turned their backs on us." "I was willing to die for
my country, and the least that I ask for is that we be recognized for that
sacrifice," Sean Bruyea told the CBC. Many of the former soldiers
are trying to cope with various conditions from multiple sclerosis to post-traumatic
stress disorder — and believe exposure to toxins in the conflict made them
sick. But Ottawa doesn't believe the illnesses are related to past
military service, so the former soldiers say they're denied basic medical
coverage and financial compensation granted to other war vets.
The men and women say they're not invited to join in parades or to have
any official role at cenotaph services. (The
ONLY thing smaller than the collective minds of our Liberal pacifist
Government, is the list of veterans with-in it's ranks, and NOTHING is
larger
than the shame of all Canadians because of it!)
Rash
of violence leaves no doubt of growing number of handguns in Canada
Critics have long argued there's no point cracking down on legal
weapons - most of which are long guns like hunting rifles and shotguns
- when small, easily concealed illegal handdguns are the real problem.
"The failure of the bureaucracy to recognize this logic astounds me," said
Lavigne. For his part, Clarke said he has yet to investigate a shooting
death this year that involved a long gun. "It shows laziness on the part
of the police and the Crown," said Lavigne, who cites the example of Hells
Angels boss Maurice (Mom) Boucher, currently serving life in prison for
the 1997 murder of two Quebec prison guards. In 1995, two years before
the guards were killed, Boucher was stopped by police in Montreal who found
an illegal weapon in his vehicle - an offence for which Boucher served
less than three months in jail. "If the leader of the Hells Angels
in Quebec gets three months for having an illegal pistol, what does that
tell you about our system?" Lavigne said. The time has come for mandatory
life sentences for offenders who use illegal weapons in committing crimes,
and to forbid Crown attorneys from bargaining down those prison terms,
he added. (There is not a legal gun owner in Canada
that would not agree 100%. A minimum of 25 years 'hard time' for the possession
of a firearm while committing a criminal offence is a place to start. But
alas, our government feels its politically more productive to go after
legal firearms and their owners by painting them as 'potential' criminals,
than cracking down on the REAL problems. As a direct result, MORE Canadians
are dying every day)
Australian
Government puts 259 guns on banned list
The National Coalition for Gun Control's co-chairman, Roland Browne,
said the American-produced Shooters Bible listed 330 semi-automatic
handgun models, meaning the government would be leaving some lethal weapons
in the community. "There are about 80 models in about 250 different
configurations missing from this list," he said. "This list falls well
short of what the Prime Minister proposed because it doesn't include a
ban on all semi-automatic handguns. People wanting to shoot competitively
ought to be satisfied with single-shot guns. That is the position in Australia
with rifles after the 1996 firearms agreement." Victoria Amateur Pistol
Association secretary Eddie Evans said the list made no sense because
it included weapons regularly used in international and national competitions
while also failing to include identical weapons made by alternative manufacturers.
"Whoever put this list together does not know what they're doing,"
he said.(Not know what they are doing is a 'vast'
understatement! Extreme gun control groups have 'never ' been thought
of as any form of 'brain trust'. The Australian black market and the criminal
use of handguns is going to explode in that country. Canada's handgun crime
has 'increased' dramatically since the liberals created/expanded a black-market
here. The crime rate in the London U.K., now exceeds that of New York City.
The only place worse is Washington D.C. where there is also a total gun
ban. This just confirms what kind of an idiot thinks that banning something
eliminates the problem. It sure worked for the liquor in the 30's didn't
it? )
Norwegian
ends 2 1/2-year odyssey and Keeps his Guns
The Across Canada expedition began on April
2, 2000, on the northeast coast of Alaska. Mr. Monsen set out across the
ice of the Beaufort Sea with six carefully selected dogs pulling a sled
filled with food and gear. Being a Norwegian, he skied behind the sled,
easing the load for the animals. He headed up the Mackenzie Delta but stopped
for the summer, setting up camp east of Inuvik in order to train
the dogs to follow him and swim on command. Their obedience would
be essential for his survival. The following winter, the team followed
the Mackenzie River south, turning inland toward Yellowknife, and
the frozen expanse of Great Slave Lake, where his progress was halted by
federal bureaucrats. Mr. Monsen carried rifles in his sled, essential
tools to defend himself against barrenland grizzlies and polar bears, and
to hunt small game for the dogs to eat. Unaware of Canada's new gun-control
laws, Mr. Monsen -- like almost every local resident of the
North -- had not registered his guns. Officials seized his rifles
and made it impossible for him to continue past the Dene community of Lutsek'e.
After seven months of bureaucratic hassles, Mr. Monsen finally got his
guns back, thanks to a sympathetic and sensible new firearms officer in
Yellowknife. (Gun registration is a complete
failure right across this entire country, and rightly so. Bureaucrats pushing
this Billion dollar farce on Canadians simply to keep their jobs, is a
PRIME example of the "Blind leading the Stupid" )
Military
short $100-million, DND says
OTTAWA -- The Department of National Defence is trying to obtain
more than $100-million in extra funding to make ends meet this year, The
Globe and Mail has learned. DND is negotiating with Finance Canada and
other central agencies for emergency cash this fiscal year to make up for
a shortfall in the Canadian Forces operations budget. The Forces have an
annual $125-million contingency fund but need more money to deal with financial
pressures brought on by unforeseen circumstances. "When the Forces go through
the $125-million, they have to go back to the centre," a federal source
said.(Obviously the Military, and the Defence of
our ENTIRE COUNTRY is not important enough to enjoy the seemingly UNLIMITED
funding funnelled off to the Liberal Farce of a Gun Control Joke,
recently handed ANOTHER 72 Million dollars to flush down the political
toilet in the ongoing attempt to keep track of duck hunters and target
shooters. Our Coast Guard can't patrol our shores for lack of fuel,
and soon our military will be reduced to competing with the legion, selling
poppies to make ends meet, while the Gun control farce has spent, and will
spend a documented: One Billion, Fifty-Three Million, Two Hundred and Sixty
Thousand Dollars, and STILL Counting..on a failed scheme that was ONLY
supposed to cost 85 million over five years. This pacifist, unconscionable,
government fantasy, of being the worlds 'peace keepers' has reduced our
proud country to a state where we have to depend on others to protect us..
As in the majority of our defenceless civilian society, they have attempted
to brainwash us to believe that safety is only a phone call away. The problem
is, Chrétien's 911 line is connected to the White House, and the
Americans are going to be too busy protecting their own asses, and Canadians
are going to die! Go ahead.. Keep voting for these Liberal Liars and Apologists..
Soon we won't even have a country to worry about. November the 11th, Canadian
Soldiers that died defending the freedom of this land, will be rolling
in their graves, ashamed of what our country seems to have become!

BinLadin:
BinHidin, BinPlannin.
''As long as I have no proof to the contrary, I will consider
Bin Laden a fugitive well and truly alive.'' Mr Noble, who became Interpol's
secretary-general two years ago, added: ''Intelligence experts all agree
that right now al-Qaeda is preparing a high-profile terrorist operation,
with attacks targeting not just the US but several countries at the same
time.'' (And all this time, the world was hoping
he was simply just a 'grease smear' in the Afghani desert ! Sleeper cells,
no doubt some members with a 'Canuckistan passport' will be heading for
the U.S. border hoping that the Canadian Government might be successful
in stopping racial profiling at the border. As long as the guy with the
'gun' on the american side is wary of the swarthy character standing before
him, he won't give a rats ass about what our 'politicians' want..The
Government has had a 'Yall come on in now, and don't forget to vote Liberal'
attitude for so long now, who knows who or what the hell they have allowed
in!)
Chrétien:
'I don't want to be the Mulroney of Liberals' (too
Late!)
OTTAWA - Jean Chrétien told his caucus yesterday that he
was disappointed 56 Liberal MPs voted against his government on Tuesday
and warned that unless the party pulls together it risks losing the
next election. In a 20-minute speech that some MPs described as "rambling,"
the Prime Minister shifted back and forth, attempting to assure his
caucus that discipline is necessary to keep the party united and
almost threatening them that he holds the keys to their futures(It
would seem that he 'still' prefers to 'rule' by threats and intimidation.
Now that his backbenchers may have broken free from the grasp of his empty
threats, 'some' democracy is returning to Canadian politics. I don't know
what Paul Martin could ever do to remove the stench of this mans legacy
from the liberal party. Patronage and corruption have surpassed even the
peak of the Mulroney bunch. The only thing close to what this person
has done to the morale of Canadians has only been previously equalled
by The Trudeau Liberals. Canada should immediately start moving to
the right, in alignment with our American friends and neighbours, and stop
being a leach on the worlds defences. Return Canada to the Proud Strong
Nation it once was, and can be again. Remembrance day should be a time
to reflect not only on our proud solders who gave up their lives for this
country and freedom, but also to reflect on the great nation we ONCE were
and CAN be AGAIN. This can NEVER happen under the type of 'self serving'
Liberal Government this country has been subjected to.. Remember.. Their
in power with a majority of 'seats' NOT a majority of
'votes'. )
ANOTHER
WIN FOR DEMOCRACY -- ALL PRIVATE MEMBERS’ BILLS WILL BE VOTABLE (garrybreitkreuz.com)
Today, the House of Commons passed a motion of concurrence by unanimous
consent to adopt the Fourth Report of the Standing Committee on Procedure
and House Affairs. The amendments to the Standing Orders will permit
each eligible MP to have at least one item debated in the House and all
admissible bills and motions on the Order of Precedence “shall be votable,
unless the sponsor opts to make it non-votable.” Breitkreuz said,
“Even though this new procedure is only being adopted on a provisional
basis until the end of this Parliament, I don’t think Private members’
Business will ever go back to the way it was.” “I’ve been here for nine
years and I’ve never had one of my 15 Private Member’s bills and motions
made votable,”reported Breitkreuz. “Thanks to the unanimous support
of all parties in this House, this is about to change. These amendments
to our procedures promise to do more to change the dynamics of Parliament
than any other change I could contemplate – other than making all legislation
a free vote.” “This is a huge win for democracy and for the people
of Canada. No longer will the government be able to duck issues that
are of vital interest to our constituents. This has been the most
incredible two days in the nine years I’ve been here,” concluded Breitkreuz.
(Evolution
continues, as more backbench liberals grow spines.. Now, how about
a private members bill to eliminate funding to the CFC, and redirect it
to major police departments for REAL crime control!)
Canada's
aging Sea King helicopters
The Sea Kings are 40 years old and keeping them in the air requires
30 hours of maintenance for every hour of flying time. Now the helicopters
are also being featured on bogus recruiting posters around the armed forces.
One poster shows a crashed Sea King on its side and a caption that reads:
'It's more than a career, it's an adventure.' (I
wonder how many replacement helicopters could have been bought for $1,053,260,000)
Hon. Senator Anne
C. Cools Speaks @ C-10, 2nd Reading Oct. 29th
Hon. Anne C. Cools: I rise to speak to second reading of Bill C-
10 to amend the Criminal Code (cruelty to animals and firearms) and the
Firearms Act. In 1995, the government and then Minister of Justice Allan
Rock placed Bill C-68, the Firearms Act, before us. That bill passed despite
strong opposition from many members of the House of Commons and senators,
myself included. In fact, here in the Senate, the government supporters
refused to allow any amendments to Bill C-68. Since then, this new Firearms
Act has proved to be a complete failure. (This info
is from the NFA newswire 11/06/02.. Its a very good speech, worth every
second you spend reading it.. Support for this obscene waste of money is
crumbling from with-in.. It's only a matter of time now before it's gone.
Unfortunately the horrendous waste will never be recovered)
Coast
Guard ordered to conserve fuel, stay docked
ST. JOHN'S - In an effort to save money, commanding officers with
the Canadian Coast Guard in Newfoundland and Labrador have been ordered
to keep ships docked unless they're needed. According to an internal
memo obtained by CBC Radio, the coast guard's director of operational services
writes that he's concerned about the fuel budget. He's ordered that
all ships stay in port unless they're needed. (One
Billion, Fifty Three Million,Two Hundred and Sixty Thousand Dollars
to make sure they know which citizens are armed duck and deer hunters,
but NO FUEL for the Canadian Coast Guard. Just what kind of ulterior
motive is this government working under?.. Makes you wonder why any rational
thinking Canadian would support this farce by even thinking about complying
with this c-68 (people control)
plan!)
GOVERNMENT
ADMITS TO WHAT THE GUN REGISTRY HAS COST AND WILL COST = $1,053,260,000
On April 24, 1995, the Justice Minister appeared before the Standing
Committee on Justice and tabled his now
infamous “Financial Framework for Bill C-68”. This document
promised the public and Parliament that the Canadian Firearms Program would
run a deficit of only $2.2 million over the first five years. The
actual deficit over the first five years was $321,761,005 (Verified in
Dept. of Justice documents obtained through the Access to Information Act
– DoJ ATIP File: A-2001-0092 dated July 18, 2001)(No
rational thinking, sane individual could possibly condone this OBSCENE
waste of taxpayers dollars. It's not just pissed off gun owners anymore.
The incredibly stupid part this whole farce is that while gun crime is
soaring: this farce it is not, will not, and never will, take guns out
of the hands of criminals.
STOP THE INSANITY)
Americans
move MORE to the 'Right'
WASHINGTON (AP) — Exultant Republicans won control of both houses
of Congress, handing President George W. Bush historic bragging rights
and two years to push through an agenda starting with deeper tax cuts.
Sweetening the prize, Republicans claimed a majority of the governors'
races and left Democrats grumbling about a popular wartime president.(In
today's dangerous world, there is no place for liberal apologists and their
dove governments. The North American attitude has to be: 'If YOU threaten
me, I'll kick your ass' ... The biggest danger, and embarrassment to Canada
right now, is it's "Do Nothing" government and the sooner we get rid of
this pack of yuppy cowards the better..)
Chrétien
stunned by vote revolt
OTTAWA — Backbench Liberal MPs delivered an unprecedented rebuke
to the Prime Minister yesterday. They supported the Opposition
and former finance minister Paul Martin in a vote which turned into a test
of Jean Chrétien's waning authority over his backbench.(Perhaps,
this tells you what kind of a 'mental wonderland' the P.M. inhabits! I
doubt very much if anyone else was "Stunned". Chrétien and his 'cabinet'
have always treated backbench MP's as mindless voting machines not there
for the benefit of their voting constituents, but only for the benefit
of the PM and HIS personal priorities. Hopefully, this is only the
tip of the iceberg)
Australia:
Handguns to be banned, buyback likely
A list of handguns to be banned is yet to be formalised but it would
be likely to include semi-automatics in calibres of 9mm, .40 and .45, and
revolvers chambered for .44 and .357 rounds. Restricting the types
of and guns that can be imported or possessed for target shooting
to those used in events such as the Olympics will require a recovery and
disposal process for the weapons which fall outside those classifications.(Welcome
to the 'Slippery Slope' and the HUGE future prosperity of the Australian
Black Market.. In a move to assure that ONLY criminals will have handguns,
and squarely aimed at increasing the crime rate to the level of that
enjoyed by victims of the U.K. handgun ban. The Australian government has
performed a classic liberal knee-jerk 'over reaction' to a firearms incident
that could have been quelled with NO loss of life, had people OTHER than
the murderer been armed. In denying citizens the BASIC right to self defence,
the Australian government has truly positioned it's population of future
victims "Down Under")
Father
charged in shooting accident
WASAGA BEACH — The father of a 10-year-old boy who suffered a gunshot
wound to the abdomen when his 13-year-old brother tried to wrest a rifle
away from him has been charged with careless storage of a firearm. Scot
Robertson, 40, of Springwater Township was charged yesterday in connection
with the Sept. 16 incident, said Constable Tim Garland of Huronia West
Ontario Provincial Police.(Unsupervised children
and firearms 'never' mix.. Luckily the child survived. It's a hard way
to learn a lesson, his carelessness almost cost his sons life)
The
U.S. gun threat
(More of The 'usual' tripe from Wendy Cukier)
Most illegal firearms begin as legal firearms. In the United States,
"crime guns" are diverted from the large domestic supply (Americans
own 226 million guns). U.S. guns also fuel illicit international markets.(This
poor woman and her 'liberal party funded organization', who like
most 'Teaching Liberal Academics' have been in school since the day they
started kindergarten, and 'truly' believe they work and function in the
real world, actually think that MORE gun control laws will make a criminal
stop and think. If this persons ideals were not so sad, they would probably
be very very funny! She obviously supports the latest liberal move of giving
72 million in new funding to the gun control bureaucrats, and ONLY 29 million
to save 'other' women from the ravages of breast cancer. Priorities such
as that, have all the common sense of a 'football bat' and seem to
run rampant through this government, AND her organization.)
Federal
surplus dogma called 'misleading'
Ottawa — Canada's Auditor-General says the Liberal government
has been feeding "misleading" information to voters about Ottawa's multibillion-dollar
surpluses.("Misleading" information is a polite way
of saying it's all bullshit. Both Martin and Chrétien have had a
good grip on the shovel, and have been feeding it to Canadians for so long,
they are starting to believe it themselves. Is there NOTHING the 'Lieberal'
party won't do or say to further their own agenda on the backs of
Canadian Taxpayers.)
Ahhh!
Theres Good News Tonight
A Prime Minister who can't control his backbenchers and is rapidly
losing influence over cabinet as the leadership race gains speed has little
hope of managing his government or his agenda. The reality, one Chrétien
seems slow to grasp, is that agenda promised in the throne speech slipped
off the road weeks ago, is still in the ditch and is destined for the junkyard
crusher. In the village that is Parliament Hill, the signs of creeping
political impotence are everywhere. Infighting is the priority, the once
all-powerful Prime Minister's Office is being cut to size by the open animosity
of elected representatives determined to bring appointed officials
to heel, and almost no one talks about policy.(The
liberals are now in a bigger shambles than the Alliance was a short time
ago! Perhaps, just perhaps, in the future the P.M. will not have the dictatorial
power that has become the hallmark of Canadian political dictators,
Trudeau and Chrétien being the worst of the bunch 'so far')
Liberal
MPs to vote against PM
OTTAWA - As many as 40 Liberal MPs are poised to vote with the opposition
tomorrow, defying the Prime Minister on the issue of secret ballots for
the election of Commons committee chairs. One of those MPs could be Paul
Martin, whose credibility as a self-proclaimed democratic reformer might
rest on where he lines up in tomorrow's vote.(The
whole idea of 'secret' votes, for no other reason than to single out and
punish party members that defy the government, and vote their constituants
wishes is democracy at it's worst. Secrecy and the decay of 'real'
democracy has been a cornerstone of the liberal government. Things MUST
change, including the government itself! Here's hoping they have the backbone
to actually go through with this.)
Why
we need guns
The theory is that gun control denies access to firearms to criminals
and those with presumably criminal intentions. The practice is that those
who want to obtain a firearm can and will obtain one, leaving the rest
of us with nothing better than harsh language to use to defend ourselves.
Gun control is the ultimate insult to a civilized democracy. It assumes
that our neighbours are killers, lacking but for a firearm in order
to carry out their basest wishes. It denies citizens the means to
defend the most basic of all human rights: the right to life. Police are
not there to protect citizens. This fact has been affirmed by the
courts. With this in mind, I would feel much more comfortable knowing my
grandmother had a shotgun by her side in the case of home invasion, than
if she had a cellular phone.(Back in the 60's
my mother was home alone. A 'drunk' started pounding on the door of her
apartment demanding to be let in or he would kick it down. My mother was
a feisty woman, and she hollered back "Go ahead, I have a gun in my hand
and and if that door opens, you WILL be shot.. The banging stopped,
and drunk wandered off muttering to himself. My mother did not have my
pistol in her hand, but just the fact that she told him she did, protected
her from harm. Considering the number
of times firearms are used for self defence every year in both
Canada, and the U.S., without them, the carnage would be staggering. Only
an idiot would believe that disarming law abiding citizens makes them safe,
and seems to answer the question of : What type of people are running our
country?)
And
The "Culture of Safety" Continues: Three killed in bloody weekend
It was another bloody weekend in Toronto, with detectives investigating
three new homicides plus a shooting last night that left one man
in critical condition. It was the second violent weekend in a row.
Four people were killed and five more injured early last Sunday, Oct. 27,
in three separate incidents.(Including 2 More dead
'unarmed' female victims.. I'm sure the families of these victims are comforted
by the fact that the government has spent a BILLION DOLLARS to protect
them from local duck hunters. Who would have thought that it would be a
criminal
they needed protection from!)
Criminals
Will Vote Liberal
OTTAWA - The Supreme Court of Canada says federal inmates do have
the right to vote in federal elections.
(Out of over 9000 votes, 72% of Canadians
DO
NOT think Criminal Inmates should have the right to vote. The Liberal
government, currently responsible for putting more criminals back on the
street through the revolving door of justice, will be eyeing the
prisons as new, prime source of liberal voters. Liberal thinking already
makes up the majority of parole boards, and are directly responsible for
the number of rapist and pedophiles currently walking away from halfway
houses and minimum security facilities. Liberal credo says there is no
such thing a a bad person, only misunderstood individuals in need of
'rehabilitation' . Our current prison system reflects that thinking. Perhaps
this is why the government is determined to use the firearms act to create
millions of 'new' criminals on January 1st. Voting liberal just might
get you out of prison sooner! Remember, they started registering
gun owners, LONG before contemplating the registration of
'Sex Offenders' and that clearly shows where their priorities are.. )
Ottawa
accused of suppressing report on need to arm wardens
It is only a matter of time before a federal park warden is
killed or seriously hurt if the officers keep working without guns, warns
a strongly worded report commissioned by Parks Canada -- but kept under
wraps for a year. The federal agency is being accused of suppressing
important evidence after it tried to have the report watered down
and then failed to submit it at labour hearings on whether wardens
should be armed. Wardens probably deal with more people who have knives,
axes and other edged weapons and guns than most police officers. And the
rugged terrain of most parks increases their danger, making it harder to
radio for help, and for backup to arrive, the report authors said.
(There is a person armed with 'something' on every single campsite. Poachers
are 'always' armed. If a geologist or wildlife photographer can get a permit
to carry a handgun in the wilderness, it defies logic that wardens, dealing
with far more dangerous animals (humans) are not allowed to defend themselves.
This is just another example of the antigun, city dwelling, liberal
mindset that safety is only a 911 call away. NOTHING could be more absurd!)
Truth
a casualty of anti-gun crusade
As his book unravelled, Bellesiles fired off one excuse after another.
He claimed that his research notes had been destroyed in an office
flood -- even though other professors on the same floor of his building
reported only the most minor damage. He claimed that inaccurate data on
his personal Web site had actually been placed there by a hostile hacker.
He claimed that his critics were motivated by ideology and personal hostilityFrom
the start, Bellesiles' assertions were highly implausible. No guns in 18th-century
America? Nobody who has looked at an 18th-century painting or read an 18th-century
book could believe it. How could such an assertion get past a publisher
or the Bancroft prize-givers? We know the answer. They believed it because
they wanted to believe. The ideological bias of the modern university can
blind academics to the truth as utterly as ever did the theological biases
of the past. They could not have been so easily lead astray had they not
first shut their eyes.(When ever the 'AntiGun' Groups
present 'evidence' it always unravels like a cheap suit)
Psssst!
Wanna Buy A Liberal 'or' a Contract?
The study, which examined the lobbying and donation activities of
the top 25 federal government contractors, found that 17 of the 25 contractors,
or 68 per cent are significant donors to the Liberal Party and that
the companies donated 6.5 times more money to the Liberals than to all
opposition parties combined last year, and three times as much to opposition
parties in 2000. At the riding level, the donations discrepancy was even
more pronounced. The top federal contractors donated $30,814 to Liberal
ridings and candidates in 2000-2001, but just $1,000 to opposition parties
during those years. (The study notes that not all donations to ridings
are required by law to be disclosed). (The patronage,
waste, and blatant lies, make this government the most corrupt in Canadian
history. And, if you think anything is going to change when 'Jean the Weasel'
crawls out of office, you must be on drugs!)
Chrétien
battles backbench revolt
Ottawa — Prime Minister Jean Chrétien appears headed
for an embarrassing defeat next week by an emboldened Liberal back bench
that seems prepared to oppose him on a democratic change to the House of
Commons. Many Liberal back-bench MPs have long been frustrated by
the tight control the unelected officials in the Prime Minister's Office
and some cabinet ministers have over them. If it passes on Tuesday, he
motion is binding and will change the House's standing orders. Its adoption
would also mean that the selection of committee chairs expected next Thursday
would be conducted by secret ballot and not in the traditional way by the
Prime Minister, his cabinet and the chief government whip. (The
'backbench' of any majority government have always been a conglomeration
of mindless walking meatbags that vote the way they are told, and democracy
has always pretty well ended at the polls. Is there a change on the horizon?
Could it be that the mindless backbench is starting to see this government
for what it really is? Nahhh I 'still' think this is a aberration .. Majority
governments have always made sure that Canada remains a society based in
feudalism , doing only what it is told. And I doubt very much if those
with all the power will want that to change.)
PROMISES
BROKEN - GUN REGISTRY CAN’T TELL POLICE WHERE THE GUNS ARE
"The front line police officers in Canada know that the gun registry
is nothing more than a billion-dollar bust and it is time for the executive
of the CPA and the Chiefs of Police to represent their members and call
on the Federal government to end the registry,” said Breitkreuz.
“There are lots of things police could do with a billion dollars to control
the criminal use of firearms, but registering millions and millions of
duck and deer guns surely isn’t one of them.”(I know
lots of cops, and I can't think of a single one that believes this registry
farce is going to be of any use what-so-ever at keeping guns out of the
hands of criminal. And I'm sure Chief Fantino in Toronto could find a 'much'
better use for the horrendous amount of taxpayer's dollars being squandered
on this Liberal fantasy)
