Books
Touching the books that are our live
The covers, some tattered and torn
Bound in pain and suffering
Stitched in love
Each word written, with hope
I pull one down and look within
Finding a name and a story
A dream once lived
A child born of love
Tales of happy childhood
That drifts through those troubled teen years
Innocent love, then married to soon
3 children born in happy sadness
Too much pain and suffering
Thoughts of death and doom
Fought and made it through
Lost some dreams, and made others come true
Reading I find moments of great beauty
Heartfelt love and laughter
Finding a woman grown from a girl
Her life laid out, one dusty page at a time
I find a hidden soul of truth
A thing of wonder
This woman heart torn and some times lost
Still smiling through the years
Her hair turning from gold to silver
Some times still looking to the past
Tears in her sad eyes
But still seeking hope through the years
I look to see empty pages needing to be filled
Pick my pen and write
Setting my life to words
Looking up I smile
For there is beauty in my life
Oh Lee
Do you remember
Holding me tight
Loving me and
Stealing my heart and soul
The first time
There was no turning back
No turning back
Tears falling like rain
Hearts lost to the flames
Storm clouds blowing
Thunder in the night
Oh my love
A heart full of memories
A life full of dreams
I could die in you arms tonight
And there would be no turning back
No turning back
Tears falling like rain
Hearts lost to the flames
Storm clouds blowing
Thunder in the night
Oh Lee
My love, my life
Hanging all my hopes
On this dream
Holding you in my arms and
seeking heaven in you smile
There is no turning back
No turning back
Tears falling like rain
Hearts lost to the flames
Storm clouds blowing
Thunder in the night
Oh Love
You are my everything
The very beat of my heart
You are the greast thing in my life
There was no turning back
No turning back
Tears falling like rain
Hearts lost to the flames
Storm clouds blowing
Thunder in the night
Obsidian Night
Alone she stands beneight a moonless sky.
Watching the Horizon
Thoughts inward turning
Emotions awash in soundless pain
A soul lost to the obsidian night
Reaching to touch the velvet darkness
To find the warmth of a lost Kiss
Thoughts conspiring to dream
Of an immortal heart
She looks to the darkness
Touching silken thoughts
Reflecting upon eternity lost
And watches as the moon rises
A bright silhouette in the sky
Stands and awaits the spirtual healing
Of the dawns first light
