The Garden
Lost in thought my way I did lose
As hurtful memories came
and washed the sun from my sky
Confusing me more
I know not why
I lay me down to weep
Fell to sleep dreaming
Of a past,
That I can not see
As the forest shares this maidens fears
I awake alone,
my mind at peace
The stars shining above.
Old memories washed away by tears
I sit and think of naught save love
Hearing gentle laughter calling me to come
Twas fortune brought me here
Finding sweet laughter,
Love and hope
Kind friends
Bringing sunshine into my life
A fairy's sweet kiss,
A dragon's kindness
The forest paths I walk,
Seeking thy comfort
Again to play mid sunlight and shadow
My heart to sing in warm laughter
As once again
I come into to the garden
The Lost Rose
While walking in the dark past midnight,
Did seek a rose that bloomed
Only for the moonlight
Touched a star and made a wish,
Lost a heart to a wounded kiss
Whispered to the wind
Then moved through a clouded dream
Silver in the night
Lost from sight
Sweet words whispered
Winds stilled
To calm the night
The world has fled in warm delight
Hearts touched
Souls did meet
In shattered dreams
The silence profoundou
As once again the rose is found
