Hearts A fire
Heart a fire remembering
His eyes at sunset
His smile in the night
Reigniting a flame
I thought forgotten
A hope
A half remembered dream
Emotions awake
In every thought
A kiss
A wish
Promises lost
Reaching to touch a lost heart
In the night
Dreams gone
A broken heart
Sadness
Shocking the mind
Inflaming the soul
Love does burn
I told a lie
Not meant to hurt
Just to send you away
Not wanting you
To know my fears
A lie to hide a tender heart
Hurt by love lost
Afraid
I told a lie
To hide my tears
Afraid to share love again
Sent you away
And into the night
Hid in the shadows
And cryed
Why
I told a lie
Not ment to hurt
Heart bright
She seeks the light
Finding a love
Tender
And Sweet
As time goes on
A push
Then a Shove
Yelling
His fist finding a tender mark
She weeps
Bruises
Tears
He begs her forgiveness
Hopeful
Heartfelt hugs
Love
For a while blooms
Screaming
Throwing
Things
He hits
One time to many
She steps into innocence lost
Running into the rain
One thought
Of her lost dream
Heart torn
Soul lost
Needing to save her own mind
To live
Breathing
Free
Walking away
My thoughts
Drift to you
On endless dreams
Summers breezes blowing
Grass crisp
Beneath my back
I lay beneath the Willow
Watching the clouds
Lazy day
Drifting thoughts
Touching the sky
Seeking to touch
Illusiveness
Looking for one unknown
Heart open and free
Mind awakened to the possibilities
Smiling
As I dream
Lying here
With eyes open wide
Drifting with my thoughts
Content
Within myself
Just Past Midnight
It’s just past midnight
And all the stars are hidden
Behind storm clouds
Sitting here I wonder
At all the places my life has been
I stare out at the jagged lighting
Letting my thoughts wander
Touching fleeting memories
One after another
A dream once golden in my life
Filled with sweet promise
Ending in deceit on a long ago December night
Drifting on seeking
To touch one more hidden thought
Wondering if love is real
Or just some made up fairy tale
Where a kiss means
Happy ever after
As lighting distracts my thoughts
I close my eyes
Wishing to dream
But nothing but truth comes
Once again turning to the dark night
A bit of despair slips across my soul
Each moments ticking on the clock
Slips towards morning
Taking me closer to the new dawns day
Will the light of a new day’s sun
Show me the truth
Of this life
Or once again will it be nothing but
Remembered loneliness
