Merry Christmas class of '82!!

Terry and I and the boys are all doing very well.  WE are entering our 17th year of working at Morrison Academy.  Hard to believe!!  Overall, it has been great, and we would not trade it for anything.  We taught 2 years in the Kaoshiung campus, then were in Taipei for 7 years.  Terry taught all those years, and I quit teaching in 1995 when James and Mark were born.  This is our 7th year as dorm parents.  Who would have ever thought that Terry and I would marry, and then be dorm parents?  That was not what I had planned when I left this place in '82.

We both love the job.  We get paid to be home and raise our own kids and hopefully have some positive influence on other people's kids.  We both love the discipleship aspect of our lives.  The students keep us young at heart and laughter still abounds.  Just today I watched on of our dorm kid's Shakespeare project.  They made a movie and did a great job but I had some great guffaw's.

In a lot of ways Morrison is the same as when we were here but there are a lot of differences too.  This is a good thing.  Change is hard but necessary.

James and Mark are in the 5th grade.  They enjoy school, after school sports and have just begun beginning band.  James is playing the clarinet and Mark the euphonium (sp?).  They performed for the first time last Tuesday in the 3rd - 5th grade Christmas concert.  It was a great evening of music.

Joshua is in the 1st grade and is very energetic and spunky.  He has got a great sense of humor and has the family laughing quite often.  Actually, James and Mark have a good sense of humor too.

Terry coaches varsity soccer and enjoys it most of the time.  Like anything, it has its challenges.  He is a very good coach.

Terry and my relationship grows stronger and better every year.  We have been doing a fair amount of biking lately.  That has been enjoyable being able to do it together now that all our kids are in school all day.

We love to travel and be out doors.  Most of our summers we spend travelling the USA.  last summer, we did the North East tour.  Wehad a great time seeing NYC, DC, the US Naval Academy (my niece attends there) Boston, Virginia and lots of Battlefields.  A great history lesson for us al.

This summer we will most likely head down to Okalahoma City to visit Mark and Karla Winslow and then to Texas to visit some good friends there.  Of course, we go to South Florida to visit my (Sharon's) family and u to Glencoe, Ontario to visit Terry's Mom.  If you are close to those areas and would like us to drop in and see you.  Write us.  We'd love to visit with you and catch up.  We saw Ismo and Kim this past summer and Mike Green, Perry Shen and his wife and child.  We had a great time with all of them.  They were gracious and generous hosts.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !
