MOVIES: THE POWER OF THE ONE:

The villain to Revelation Lugia is Jirarudan. He is a Pokémon collector that is out to capture the rarest and most exquisite Pokémon of these times, Lugia. No human has ever seen it, however it is written that Lugia will appear when all three Legendary Birds are brought together in the same relative area. It is for this reason that each Legendary Bird has it's very own Island. Jirarudan's travels around in a huge flying fortress. His motive is to catch all three Legendary Birds to arise his potential prize, Lugia. His first target is Moltres, so he makes way towards it's Island, Hikoukyu. Once arrived at his destination Jirarudan attack's the Island with Ice (Moltres' weakness) and freezes the Island over, hence injuring Moltres. He then lay's out his electric net and captures Moltres. Moving along with his flying fortress he makes way towards the Island of Zapdos. As he begins his travels the weather takes an unexpected turn for the worst.

Ash, Tracey, and Misty are traveling in a boat (controlled by Mic-chan, their guide) to Ashia Island. While the group and their Pokémon are out relaxing a storm suddenly blows in-land. The boat that they are riding in is terribly shaken up, however Mic-chan manages to get the ship into the port.

As expected, Team Rocket is following Ash and his friends. While the pathetic rocket trio plunders forward with their submarine Gyarados they are hit with the same storm that Mic-chan's ship was destroyed by. Team Rocket attempt's to surpass the storm but the rough water's have thrown them around and into an object, which causes the submarine to lose it's rudder. Helplessly they drift along and wind up in a school of real Gyarados. The group of dragon's drag the submarine towards the port, but with Team Rocket's luck they wind up on top of the rock's instead.

Ash's mom is out on her front lawn when Professor Oak approaches her on his bike. They make small conversation and comment about the weather when a group of Diglett come down the road. The Diglett pick up Professor Oak's bike in their swarm and carry it with them down the road. Behind the Diglett's is another swarm of Pokémon headed in the same direction as the Diglett, South. Amazed, the two notice that it has started to snow despite the fact that it is in the middle of the summer. This is when they realize something is defanitley out of place.

Ash and his friends have made it to Ashia Island safely, they get off the damaged boat only to be surrounded by a group of native's. One of the higher ranked native's takes off his mask and explains that there is a festival going on to celebrate the "Pokémon God's." They are soon introduced to a girl name Furura, which supposedly is a young girl that act's as a messenger for the god's to participate in the ceremony. Furura begins to take a liking to Ash, however Misty begins to take a disliking to Furura. She asks Misty questions like "Are you Ash's sister?" and "Are you Ash's girlfriend?" which makes her more than angry. The group exit's the beach and travel's to a pavilion where the ceremony is scheduled to take place.

Ash soon reveals himself as a Pokémon trainer during the festival, and is apparently the only one on the Island at the time. Ash is then chosen to go to the Island of Legendary Pokémon to retrieve each of their power crystals. They explain that the weather disturbances have caused a misbalance in the crystal's power's, and by bringing all three of them to the stone circle on the main Island should calm these forces to a normal.

The natives warn Ash "Never catch a god of fire, a god of thunder, or a god of ice. If you do, it will evoke their anger and the marine god will destroy the heavens and earth. The world would fall to ruins!" Ash is a little confused but basically understands the importance of this.

Mic-chan then brings Ash back to the ship and they set out to retrieve the power crystal's upon request. Their first target is the Island of Moltres. After some time of traveling the stormy sea's, they reach the Island. Ash run's from the boat and makes way to the top of the mountain. Upon reaching the top he locates Moltres' shrine where the first power crystal is located. Misty and Furura decide to follow Mic-chan and Ash in a faster and classier boat. Naturally Team Rocket finds a way to sneak aboard the ship, but with their continuingly terrible luck they are thrown from the ship as it is hit with a big wave. Ash is in Moltres' shrine when Furura's boat comes crashing along and up the stairs. Ash now has Moltres' power crystal in hand and is ready to make his way down to Mic-chan's boat for the trip back to Ashia Island. Suddenly the Legendary Bird Zapdos appears, and is ragingly searching for Moltres.

Zapdos begins discharging thunderbolts at random, which is it's way of communicating. Pikachu begins to answer back with it's own thunderbolts, explaining why they are at Moltres' shrine. The conversation between the two is cut short when something begins to insulate Zapdos' ability to utilize it's electricity. The fortress is hovering above and a net is dropped to capture Zapdos. It is Jirarudan, which has now captured two of the Legendary Birds. As Zapdos is recently captured it continues to struggle against the net, while Moltres subsided lay low.

Furura notices a copy of the stone tablet between the cages of the two birds. On the tablet is the legend of the god of the sea, Lugia. Jirarudan's computer alert's him of the unexpected visitors and he goes down to land to speak with them. He explains his plan briefly and returns to his chair on the bridge of his fortress. Soon Jirarudan is notified that they he is approaching the Island of Articuno. During all of this Professor Oak consults his friend (the breeder that Brock had left to live with) and agrees to meet at Orange Islands in order to find out what is causing all of the weather fluctuations.

Determined to stop Jirarudan from jeopardizing the earth by capturing Lugia, Ash decides to attempt to free Zapdos and Moltres. Everyone from the group releases their Pokémon and work on freeing Moltres first. Team Rocket also send their Pokémon out, but towards Zapdos instead. The variation of water, fire, and electric attacks causes the cage that contains Moltres to explode. Immediately Moltres let's out a huge blast of flames at Zapdos' cage, freeing it.

Pokémon from all over the world begin traveling as far South as they can, those who cannot fly or swim sit anxiously at their South-most shore. They all seem to sense the struggle between their gods and are displeased. The whether begins to get colder and colder as Articuno's powers go haywire.

Zapdos and Moltres smash their way out of the fortress and meet up with Articuno, who had frozen much of the sea. Together the Legendary Birds begin to attack Jirarudan's fortress. Damaged badly the airship keeps getting worse, as it is slowly being destroyed the fortress crashed into the Island of Zapdos. It crushes the shrine of Zapdos and destroys almost everything in the area, everything except the power crystal! Ash pick's up the orb and manages to get back to Mic-chan's ship. The boat plunders downward and seems' like they are all doomed when a mysterious spout of water catches it and blast's it at the shrine on Ashia Island.

Team Rocket inflates the emergency raft aboard the ship and hesitantly sits in it. Feeling safer until the same spout of water blast's the raft away. After the boat land's everyone jump's out, and the boat falls to the frozen sea below. Professor Oak is being filmed by a news crew as he travels to the Orange Islands. He explains that the "gulf stream," the path on which all the world's water flows, is normally controlled by a balance among the powers of the Legendary Birds. The disruption in that balance was caused by horrible fluctuations throughout the world. As the interview comes to a close the helicopter that they are all flying in is caught in a gust of wind and is propelled into the mountains of Ashia Island below. Everyone gets out safely but Ash's mom still worries about the safety of her son.

Ash has brought back to the natives two of the power crystals. He places the two that he has obtained in their correct places of the stone shrine. Yadoking comes up behind Ash and expresses his concern that he has only retrieved two of the crystals. Ash is about to leave to get the third orb when the three Legendary Birds begin to attack him. One of the bird's dives toward them, and Ash jump's in front of the group to bravely protect them. Fortunately that same strange spout of water that saved them previously gets in front of Ash, this time containing Lugia.

Lugia begins to fight with the birds. As they battle Furura recognizes the sound that Lugia is making, it is the same exact music that was displayed at the festival. This music was believed to be a call of the gods. All three bird's attack Lugia at once, seemingly to be defeated Lugia drops and falls through the ice below.

Furura begins to play a few notes on her flute, which revives Lugia. It burst's from the ice and flies over toward the group. The group realizes that in order to save the world they must retrieve the third power crystal and place it in the shrine, restoring order to the forces. As usual Ash agrees to go forth and get the last orb. Ash set's out for the Island of Articuno, unfortunately the snow on top of the ice is too deep for him to walk. With quick thinking he call's out Charizard, Bulbasaur, and Pikachu. The three Pokémon now pull ash through the deep snow on a sled which was made from part's of the boat. The Legendary Bird's begin to attack from above, but Lugia flies over and protects them.

Ash is about halfway across the frozen sea when Articuno and Moltres launch a huge attack at the ground. This causes part's of the frozen sea to break up and then re-freeze. Now a new obstacle has formed, icebergs. With the newly formed tower of ice Ash is stumped as of what to do. From behind he hears Team Rocket ranting their famous motto, they have constructed a hydrofoil from the raft and some parts from their submarine and motion for Ash and Pikachu to join them aboard. With no other choice Ash calls back his Pokémon and climbs in with Jessie and James.

Previously where thousand of Pokémon had been stranded at their south-most shore now find themselves running across the frozen sea toward the battle scene. Lugia provides cover while the Ash and the group blast's across the ice and up the path of the mountain, towards Articuno's shrine. Ash runs up to the statue and grabs the power crystal, he then runs toward the exit with Team Rocket and is near the end. The injured Articuno then crashes through the roof and demolishes the shrine. The destruction of the room also had blocked off the escape route through the cave. Lugia swoops down and informs Ash to get on his back. He agrees and Lugia takes off, while Team Rocket clings with their life to Lugia's leg.

Lugia rapidly soars through the air, but is having trouble dodging the attacks of the Legendary Birds. It then decides to go really high into the air and loose the birds for the time being. Lugia can't go fast enough and Team Rocket realizes that they are weighing Lugia down too much. Bravely Team Rocket releases their grip from the birds leg, saying they have done all they could to "Protect the world from devastation." As they plummet they remember that the sea is frozen and put the image in their minds that they may die, luckily when they hit the surface the smoothly crash under the water. When the resurface they see that the gathered Pokémon from the shores have broken a hole in the ice to save them.

On Lugia's back Ash approaches Ashia Island. Unexpectedly Jirarudan focuses in on them with his trapping machine and sends out those electric traps after the Legendary Pokémon. Lugia destroys many of the traps as they try to capture it, but they move to fast and eventually snare the monster. Lugia releases a huge beam from it's mouth headed straight for Jirarudan and the remains of his fortress. The beam destroys the airship and deactivates the cages. Extremely worn out Lugia falls into the ice, breaking through it and sinking.

Ash surfaces but isn't conscience. The natives on land are very scared and argue about who should go save Ash. Furura is about to go when Misty says to her that it is her obligation. She runs down the slope and drags Ash from the water -- he doesn't seem to be breathing for the time, but soon he regains conscienceness. Ash insists on climbing the slope himself as part of his quest. He finally reaches the top and is ready to complete his mission. Ash reaches out and places the third and final power crystal in it's proper place. This causes a reaction between the three orbs which makes the entire stone shrine glow. Furura takes a step into the center of the shrine and begins playing the song of the gods, which magically brightens the sky and makes water flow over the shrines edge. This makes all of the grass grow through the snow and the healing motion of the song spreads throughout the sea. The Legendary Birds all begin to waken and even Lugia arises from the ocean. Lugia thanks everyone for their help and asks Ash to once again ride on it's back.

As Ash and Pikachu get aboard Lugia's back it summons the damaged gulf stream up into the air, eventually placing it back where it where it belongs. All of the Legendary Birds return to their Islands and the wild Pokémon that have come to assist group together and return home (land Pokémon riding on the water, and flying types.) When Ash and Lugia land, Ash asks if he will ever see it again. Lugia says it's looking forward to it, but Ash will have to catch him on his own. They both have their own obligations, and they both know, that if their path's cross again, it will be most delightful.

When Lugia leaves (returning into the ocean) Ash's mom and the others climb down the Ashia Island mountains and onto the cliff. Ash's mom yells at him for once again getting into trouble, but says she is glad that he is OK.
