| At the AOII Rush Retreat, Sarah got the scoop from Duncan's roommate's (Corey's) girlfriend (now wife) Kelly. She said that Duncan was seeing someone in Hopkinsville, but that she was pretty sure he did not plan on continuing to see the girl once he got back to Transy. Sarah was confident. She finally realized that Duncan truly liked her and she was sure she could "rekindle the flame." She called Duncan before school started and told him how she felt. Duncan said, "I'm not there right now." (This meant that he was not in the "wanting to date place" that Sarah was.) For three years, Duncan had been quietly liking Sarah.
