New to Warcraft III Strategy
Ok first off, if you have played Warcraft II, go to medium or expert.  This is just a description of a general idea on how to play.  This will get into Gold Mines, Lumber, Night/Day, Season and a few other things.
Mining and Chopping

Ok, as you can see to the right, it is a Gold Mine as you might have guessed.  This will be your very best friend.  The max number of workers in a gold mine is 5.  So any more would cause bad things to happen.  I suggest you use Human for the first couple games if you are new to Blizzard games just because of naming purposes.  Below the mine is a tree.  Your other best friend, though not as much.  You will use the trees for great fighters.  You do not need it as much so concentrate on gold, then lumber.  Those 2 things are the primary resources.
Season and Night/Day

The season doesnt affect your units too much.  They only affect what you see.  If that doesnt matter, than more power to you.  Night and Day on the other hand does.  It affects greatly what your mini-map shows and what you see on the screen, not just the appearance.  Its darker, and you cant see enemy units as well.  There is rumors that it affects your units attacking ability.
Battling

As a newbie, no offense, thats what your called, you dream of winning your first battle on your own.  Well, its not difficult really, you just press the Attack-to-Location button and your units will kill anything and everything in its path.  Pretty nifty? I know.
