Big Brother: San Francisco Episode #4

THE BEGINNING:

Nick was gone from the Big Brother house and the remaining houseguests could feel the void. The "Oasis" Alliance had been exposed and stopped. That made the others slightly gun shy about forming other alliances. It was generally agreed that friendships and not alliances would determine how people would nominate and vote. The former members of the OA (Andy, Alex, Ayane, Angela and Bethany) hoped that they were forgiven and that the next round could be played with a clean slate.

Ayane was starting to withdraw from the rest of the group. The others tried to assure her that they held no ill will toward her regarding the alliance troubles. Although she stayed her bright and cheery self the others felt that she might not be enjoying the experience anymore. Two people who were enjoying the experience were Angela and Michael. They were getting very close and were almost inseparable in the house. They were soon regarded as the sweethearts of the house. Andy and Alex were a different story. Their personalities had clashed since the beginning of the game. One night when they were the only two still awake they discussed strategies and found that their game plans differed tremendously. They had a disagreement that would shape their relationship for the remainder of the game.

THE CHALLENGES:
It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon in San Francisco. Most of the houseguests were outside enjoying the pool and the sun. They were startled when a voice came over the loud speaker. They were told to go inside the house immediately and close the shades, the backyard was going to be set up for the next Reward Challenge. Once the yard was empty the guests could hear the work going on outside. It took a lot of restraint not to look through the shades to see what was going on. They resented having to be indoors on such a beautiful afternoon but Cory came up with some games for them to play to pass the time. All got quiet outside. After dinner the houseguests were instructed to go outside for the challenge. When they got outside they were shocked to see that their backyard had been transformed into a game show set. There were podiums set up in a semi circle. They were surrounding a podium in the center. On the middle podium was the same kind of television that they had in the living room. Each "contestant" was told to take their place behind a podium. Once everyone was in place the television screen popped on. It was Josh dressed in a long black leather coat, "Good evening houseguests, and welcome to the Big Brother San Francisco Weakest Link Game". The houseguests were getting excited, this looked like fun. Josh went on to explain the game:
"I will be asking you each a question, you have 5 seconds to give an answer. As a group you have two minutes per round. Once a round is over it will be up to you to vote out the "weakest link". We will go like that until we are down to two players. At that time the rest of you will go back in the house and the game for HoH will continue."
The game began and after the first round Cory was voted the Weakest Link and was gone from the game. Cory had looked forward to this challenge and was disappointed that he was ousted so quickly. One at a time the rounds went by until only Lindsey and Heidi were left at their podiums. The others were asked to leave the yard and stay indoors until the game was complete. Lindsey and Heidi were told that in this game the coveted Head of Household position was also up for grabs. The winner would be HoH and the runner up would be the reward winner. With that in mind the last round began. It was a close battle of wits but in the end Heidi had more correct answers. Heidi was once again the Head of the Household. Lindsey would get the reward. She would have the opportunity to nominate a third person for eviction. There would be THREE people on the chopping block!

NOMINATIONS/EVICTIONS

The girls were set to to join the others and give them the news when they were stopped by Josh, "Where are you going? We aren't finished here yet." Heidi and Lindsey were confused, they thought the final round was over. Josh explained, "There will be no nomination ceremony tonight. You two will decide your nominees RIGHT NOW and when you return to the group you may make the announcement. You have ten minutes to discuss. I'll be back to hear your decision." The television set switched to a timer counting down from ten minutes. The girls were hesitant at first but then got into the decision making process. They had made their final choice just before their time was up. They told Josh their nominees then went inside to tell the others what went down. Everyone was surprised to here that the nominations had already took place. They sat quietly while Heidi and Lindsey explained their choices: Heidi addressed Alex: "Alex, I think your a great guy.. really funny of course! however sometimes you can be a liar and you might turn on me some time in the future, so i have to nominate you.. I'm sorry and I hope we can still be friends "
She then turned to Angela: "Angie, You rock babe! what more can i say!? I think your an awesome girl and i love ya! And so does everyone else.. You can become a threat later on in the game. So i have to nominate ya. Your a great person with an awesome personality and i hope you make it to the top!"
It was Lindsey's turn. She spoke to Bethany: "I am going to nominate...along with with Angie and Alex.....Bethany. Bethany, i think that when you see these nominations, you are going to think i nominated you because you nominated me. I really don't want you to think that....because that is not the reason what so ever. I think that....once we started this game, we really didnt bond, but after a while we got along great, but i have grown closer to some others in this house, and i really couldnt...nominate them, that is why i am nominating you bethany. So please dont take it personally, because i really dont want you out of the house, so stay strong babe!!"
Bethany, Alex and Angela were the people up for eviction. This was the first time that three people were in the hot seats. How would this effect the voting? Would there be a split? Was the Oasis alliance really forgotten? All three of the nominees were members.
Everyone thought long and hard about their votes the next day.
It came time for the voting to begin. Josh appeared on the television screen in the living room. A third arm chair was brought in for the nominees. Nervously Bethany, Angela and Alex took there seats at the end of the room. The rest of the houseguests went into the Confessional room to give their vote and an explanation. Josh appeared on the screen again: "The votes have been tallied. Five for Alex, one for Bethany and zero for Angela. It wasn't even close despite the third nominee. Alex, you have been evicted from the Big Brother San Francisco house. Please say your good-byes and leave the house."
Another member of the alliance was gone. Are the others safe?
