Big Brother: San Francisco Episode
#8 THE BEGINNING The BBSF House had become more and more shocking in result of houseguests evicted as the weeks passed. After Heidi's sudden ousting, and now Andy's surprise eviction..there were 5 of the 12 original houseguests remaining. Lindsey, Cory, Angela, Michael, and Bethany. Angela and Bethany as well as Angela and Michael's close friendship was not secret to anybody. Michael and Cory, who had formed a tight bond awhile back, had an alliance that only began now to show its colors. Lindsey, the puppet in Michael and Cory's hopeful master plan..was beginning to get confident. She had several talks with both Michael and Cory and felt secure that it would be either Angela or Bethany to be evicted. The challenges are the only keys to security, and the challenges for the final five would prove to be vital. THE CHALLENGES: The reward challenge was all prepared to get underway. Josh popped on the plasma screen and began to explain the tasks for the first of two pivital late game challenges. Michael, Lindsey, Cory, Bethany, and Angela all sat down on the once highly populated couches and payed close attention to the reward challenge rules. Each of the final five's eyes were filled with determination and eagerness to compete. "Hello final five! I know you're all itching to get down and dirty, so I won't beat around the bush. I have arranged a complete outline for a fictional Survivor game. As you see on the clipboards next to you, you are given in depth details of each survivor and their friendships as well as their personalities. In addition, you are given the rubric for tribal immunity and individual immunity winners. Your task, is to plot the entire game in your head, follow the rubric as best you can, and plot each survivor in the game and when their torch is extinguished. The one with the most correct exits in correspondence to the actual simulated exits, will win the reward. Once your done and your exits are plotted, I will tally up the scores and let the winner know his or her reward. Are we ready??" "Yes!!" the final five shout with excitement. "Okay....Get started on your lists. Speed is nothing, but make sure you finish within half an hour. Good Luck." All of the remaining BBSF houseguests read their lists thoroughly. Each of them plotted the simulated game in their head and hoped to replicate that game's outcome to their list. After some time, each of the final five began to write in names. A few scribbles here and there, a few minor changes...And the houseguests were done. They each then read the places for their survivors out loud to Josh, as Josh quietly marked down how many each houseguests got correct. Once all of the 5 had read their lists....Josh tabulated the scores and prepared for the announcement of reward challenge winner. "Okay...with a whopping 8 CORRECT guesses....CORY, you have won the Reward Challenge. Congratulations! Now for your reward...In the upcoming HOH Challenge, you will be competing against one another in an online game brought to us by pogo.com. In this arcade style HOH Challenge, you Cory will already have a 3,000 point lead. Or in essence, your final score will have 3,000 extra points added to it. Nice job Cory." Angela, Lindsey, Bethany, and Michael all congratulate and hug Cory..as they prepare for the HOH Challenge immediately following. They really had no time to contemplate the strategic moves that awaited, they just knew that Cory had a jump start lead and that they would have to try THAT much harder to win HOH. The arcade booth's were set up and the houseguests entered their own private booth. They all entered a Slingo chat and talked to each other in the chat available at the game play board before the game had begun. They received a message from Josh in the Slingo chat that they would play 5 games. With all types of bonus points for certain things in addition to total scores, would make up each of the five's Ultimate Slingo Score. They each prepped by playing a practice game or two but then it was ready for the showdown. The five games had come and gone with great game play. Nobody had any idea who could possibly have won. Being that each had their up game and down game. They also didn't know how Josh would factor in bonus points, so any assumptions were killed immediately. The highest of all the five, would win HOH. That is what they knew. Cory was hoping his 3,000 point lead would give him the extra edge. All of the houseguests played their hearts out, but it was now time to hear the results. The final five flocked to the couch and anticipated Josh to announce the winner of the challenge. Josh appeared on the screen: "The scores were great. I added up your 5 game totals in addition to bonus points for acheiving slingo, having a higher score than me, cory's 3,000 pts, and for coming in 1st-5th(bonus pts for each position). With all of the double checked calculations, the reward challenge proved to be of importance. Cory has won this challenge, by less than 3,000 points. But he has done it nonetheless. Thanks to his reward and great play in the Slingo HOH, Cory has won HOH! He is now in the BBSF Final Four!" The other four immediately congratulated him, but after wandering around the house..they each began to get nervous. It was time for Cory to make his two nominations, and all the other four could do was wait. NOMINATIONS/EVICTIONS Cory knew it was time to head over to the BBSF Memory Wall in order to retrieve the final five keys from the once packed wall with 12 keys. He took a look at the faded pictures of evicted houseguests Frank, Marileigh, Nick, Alex, Ayane, Heidi, and Andy, remembering a bit about each of them and what they had accomplished and brought to the house. After reminiscing, Cory grabbed the 5 remaining keys of himself, Lindsey, Angela, Bethany, and Michael. He looped his around his neck, and headed with the nomination box to the HOH bedroom. He placed the nomination box on the table in the bedroom, and lied the keys down next to it. After a minute of gazing at them, he stuck one in the box. With only one more name to lock in, he picked one up and securely turned it into the box. He tossed the two nominees' keys into the black velvet nomination bag that symbolized a chance of eviction for the two inside names inside of it. A somber Cory then walked over to the nomination announcement table in the living room and called the other four over to get the process completed as soon as possible. Cory began the meeting with a few words. "This is my first time in this HoH position and it is just as uncomfortable as I imagined it would be. At this point I think that we are all friends in this house. Because of this, I picked my two nominations and it was all done with no personal motive." He reached in the box to pull out the first key. It was Michael's. Michael smiled with joy, understanding that Cory's loyalty was just as strong as his was with Cory. Mike then pulled out the next and last key. It was Bethany's. Bethany graciously grinned, but it soon changed to a frown when she realized her close friend Angela, and her roommate Lindsey, were both nominated. Cory then said, "Angela and Lindsey. I am sorry, I like you both so much, but I had to pick 2 from 4 great friends." With that, the nomination meeting had concluded leaving Angela and Lindsey as the week 8 nominees. That left Bethany and Michael as the two houseguests with the decision of eviction. The HOH, Cory, was hoping for a tie so that he could make the final decision. He thought that by nominating Angela and Michael that there would be dissension between the two jurors leaving him with the ultimate decision. However, Angela had formed a sisterly bond with Bethany during the time they spent together in the house and she and Michael's relationship had grown into a budding romance. So Cory thought he would have the final choice of who would join he, Michael, and Bethany in the Final Four...Angela thought that she was safe from her two closest friends votes in the jury..And Lindsey thought that she was safe because of a discussion she had with Cory where he said that she would stay. All different thoughts thickened the air, and only one scenario would take place at the eviction proceedings. The next night was the dreaded eviction meeting. One would go before reaching the milestone of the BBSF Final Four, and everybody was ready for that outcome. Michael and Bethany voiced their eviction votes into the Big Brother camera, and the host Josh had the envelope ready to unseal and read aloud to the final five houseguests. "Are we prepared for the eviction results?" - Josh " Yeah!" - Final Five BBSFers. "Okay then...*Opens envelope*...By a vote of 2-0 (with that announcement, the final five's faces had turned from complacent to shocking), Lindsey, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house." - Josh "Oh my gosh.." - Lindsey With that announcement Lindsey hugged Angela, and without much time to organize thoughts the Final Five walked over to the door together. Lindsey gave her last hugs and jetted out of the door, being the 8th in the house to do so. Her exit left the BBSF Final Four! CORY Williams, BETHANY Glazewski, MICHAEL Sheehan, and ANGELA Zampogna! The took the next few hours to regroup their thoughts. Cory was confused on the majority vote, and took time to clear up how Lindsey's eviction had occured. The Final Four loyalties were all tight, and it would leave the challenges as the only security in advancing to the next round. They spent quality time together, set their minds straight, and prepared for the next HOH Challenge. The Final Four HOH, the most vital of them all.. |
